I was very impressed with the staff at Monarch! Everyone was friendly and handled interruptions well, and I felt very comfortable and valued. My tattoo artist, Melissa was amazing! She is so talented and kind. She asked me questions and talked through my design with me. My biggest takeaway overall was how welcoming the studio is. I've had some not great experiences in the past at other shops, so this was a big must for me.

I called this place a few months ago to ask questions about tattoos, prices and possible appointments. I was met with a very knowledgeable and frankly calming person (it was kody, who ended up doing my tattoo); he encouraged me to look at other tattoo artists and he was the only one who reccomended this out of all 5 I talked to. The entire time he was very kind, I didnt feel judged at all (it was a scar cover up) and he did a wonderful job. For all 5 hours he was very attentive and made sure I had water, we took breaks and generally had a good time for the entire appointment. Sadly we had to leave one part unfinished because I needed to go home, but he was eager to make a follow up appointment, not only to finish the tattoo but to make sure the ink took to the scars. The other staff that was there were funny and kind, I saw some of Lyod's (?) work and it was gorgeous. I fully recommend this place, and I will definitely be returning. I understand this review was long, but the emotional freedom I am feeling right now is amazing.

Matt did a tattoo for me 2 years ago that I absolutely love. I get so many compliments on it! Matt has a super calm disposition and his experience made for the most relaxing tattoo session ever. 10/10

most welcoming tat place i have been in. staff was friendly and helpful, and jason was awesome. made me feel at ease from the start. my tattoo has help up beautifully. the pic is from today, the tat was done over 2 years ago. still as beautiful as when i got it done. i can't recommend them enough, and will be taking my son there for his first tattoo soon!

Every artist there is awesome. There is no one else who can do the variety of work that these guys do. This was my first sitting today. Kody is my personal artist.

Man they all do great work there. If you are afraid to be let down or dissapointed then you should come here for all your tattoo needs. I got a cover up of my exs lips and initials and now it's like it was never there.

Kody Flannery is the man! Great environment, but most importantly the tattoo is AMAZING, and I fall more and more in love with it the longer I look at it. This was my first ever tattoo and he made me feel very comfortable.

Sadly, was not impressed by our artist. The artist my family and I had was Matt, he did amazing work but was very rude and harsh the whole time. We asked him twice to resize our tattoos (having never asked where we were placing them) and both times he scolded us and was giving us rude remarks for it. He didn’t ask us where we wanted our tattoos or any other questions. We had to tell him the colors we wanted while he was prepping because he never asked and poured all black ink, then got upset with us because of it. I have heard nothing but wonderful things from this shop and I am very sad that I have to write a review like this but I don’t want other people paying the non-refundable deposit and getting treated like we did. Worst experience I have ever had/even heard of personally at a tattoo shop.

Kody does such an incredible job! Not only is he a great artist but a wonderful person! Thanks Kody, this tatoo has even more special meaning because you did it!

Melissa got me in very promptly for my first tattoo, made me feel comfortable and was great to talk to! The process was easier than I expected. The atmosphere was friendly and open, I'll be sure to be back! Kody was also present and made me feel as if I was a welcome regular with his conversation during my appointment, I'll be sure to have him do something in the future too!

FRAUD ! Took my deposit and does not want to give it back or give me a tattoo after having a agreement! Definitely don’t reccomend Matthew Barnes!!!! Go anywhere but here.
