I would’ve loved to give a higher review as the check in staff was great and got us a balcony that we requested. Rooms were decent, clean, comfortable bed. TVs are small and a bit outdated but work ok. BUT, a work bag was stolen from our car in the parking lot with a laptop and other items. Marriott took zero responsibility or care in the situation and basically shrugged their shoulders when we asked for video for insurance purposes and said “how do you know it was on our property?” It’s disappointing that they have so little care to the crime happening on their property, not even an apology, nothing. Do better Marriott. So decent hotel overall (careful for the giant potholes in the lot) but not worth getting your car broken into.

Lobby smelled like dirty mop. The floor in our room's bathroom was sticky. The towels had hair from someone else. All employees smelled like cigarettes'. plus room didn't smell pleasant either.

Ordinarily I am a Marriott fan. I stay nearly exclusively in Marriott products. This location gives me a lot of heartburn and it pains me to give it only 2 stars. First the good: the rooms are familiar, Courtyard rooms. Beds are comfortable. It's close to the airport and food options. Easy to get around Grand Rapids from here. The fitness center was pretty good. Had a decent workout. Now the heartburn: be wary of the drive in (especially at night) because there is a maze of potholes that will utterly destroy your vehicle. The staff was pleasant while I checked in, I was asked if I would need housekeeping for my 4 night stay. I did. Every evening when I arrived back in my room I was let down. They didn't show up once. I went to the Bistro the first night and met someone who was new, untrained and very stressed. He did his best to accommodate me. But the menu that night was limited to a burger and fries. My Old Fashioned ended up being a straight glass of $14 whiskey. The staff did what they could, but this is clearly a huge failure on the part of management. Overall, it was Marriott prices and I should have just stayed in a Motel 6.

Worse hotel experience ever. Let's start with getting into the hotel... Pot holes were everywhere and no real entrance to the parking lot. The 1st room we were in we had to move because the tub was plugged and water wouldn't drain. 2nd room the pull out sofa bed was a TWIN.... Very uncomfortable for my son as well. No pool, or Continental breakfast. When ever we needed something the front desk made us come get them. They did not live up to the Marriott name at all. My mom stayed in another room and had to switch rooms due to roaches in her room.

The staff were all so kind and friendly! Great workout room if you're looking for it.

The hotel is nice and has friendly staff. Our rooms amenities were satisfactory but had an awful odor smelling of rotten eggs. I wasn't able to find a direct cause to this problem but it was most likely a problem with the heating unit. Our room was number 232 and after we notified staff of the issue, they relocated us somewhere else. Hotel itself isn't bad, we were likely just unlucky with what happened.

The room was clean and when checking in the lady was really nice and welcoming. The only downside was some of the staff, one in particular was sassy and rude when we asked one simple question.

Our room smelled like sewage. It was bad when we walked in the first time, and it worse when we returned for the night. Our room number was 219, and I see that other rooms on the second floor have made this complaint dating back at least several months. So either no one reads these reviews, or management just doesnt care. For a whopping $200 a night, it was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. I would advise avoiding this hotel at all costs.

The only reason I’m even putting one star is due to the fact you can not proceed without putting something. From the horrid smell to the cancellation/no show policy. I got fired from my company and was just trying to tie up some loose ends instead of saying forget it. I paid 130 for a night but if you don’t cancel or show you get charged 230. The room is out dated by at least 20 years with a rinks dinky tv that has streaming some random way (probably firestick). The bathroom looked like don’t touch anything bare and wear flip flops in the shower. I slept in my clothes. I don’t understand how a hotel like this service the airport, maybe a small town motel. THEY DON’T EVEN HAVE SHUTTLE SERVICE! I used to be a fan, and I’m a silver member but this whole ordeal go me looking at other hotel brands.0 out of ten would not recommend.

Great location, although the shared driveway with the oil change/car wash business next door needs some love. That pothole could swallow a car! The hotel itself and rooms were very clean, and relatively quiet. We do travel with a white noise sound machine for our son, which I think really helped with the sound as I could still hear doors and other guests in the hallway, though it didn't disturb us. The room was pretty small in comparison to other locations with the same room type, however it was still perfectly functional. If you're looking for a nice, clean, hotel in a good location to both the airport, shopping, and dining, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here!

Clean rooms located in an easy to get to location from the airport, who's got good customer service. There are plenty of restaurants near by which are within walking distance.

On very crowded road especially between 4pm and 7pm The free breakfast starts at 700 can't comment regarding that Good for a night or 2. Have in room one cup coffee maker and tiny fridge for small items

Nice staff. Decent community/breakfast space. Big gym. Motel-quality room accommodations. Not the quality I expect from Marriott.

Outstanding service and great accomodations found here! Dee went above & beyond to help with some needs we had during our stay. The updated gym is awesome! Lots of natural light and the treadmills overlook the ravine. Only missing a stair-stepper...We will stay again for sure.

Everything about Courtyard Marriott's are great. That's why I prefer them over anything else. The staff at this location was EXCEPTIONALLY friendly, kind and helpful. I sure hope they are made aware of that.

Kids were running up and down the hallways all night. They kept playing in the elevator so nobody could use it. Went to the exercise room and kids playing in there unsupervised. Manager told me it happens everytime the travel hockey teams are in town. My advice is don't stay here if travel hockey is in town. They must pay more for their rooms then I did. Didn't get much sleep before our flight and the managers response seemed to be sorry about your luck... really disappointed in Marriott.
