Ordinarily
I
am
a
Marriott
fan.
I
stay
nearly
exclusively
in
Marriott
products.
This
location
gives
me
a
lot
of
heartburn
and
it
pains
me
to
give
it
only
2
stars.
First
the
good:
the
rooms
are
familiar,
Courtyard
rooms.
Beds
are
comfortable.
It's
close
to
the
airport
and
food
options.
Easy
to
get
around
Grand
Rapids
from
here.
The
fitness
center
was
pretty
good.
Had
a
decent
workout.
Now
the
heartburn:
be
wary
of
the
drive
in
(especially
at
night)
because
there
is
a
maze
of
potholes
that
will
utterly
destroy
your
vehicle.
The
staff
was
pleasant
while
I
checked
in,
I
was
asked
if
I
would
need
housekeeping
for
my
4
night
stay.
I
did.
Every
evening
when
I
arrived
back
in
my
room
I
was
let
down.
They
didn't
show
up
once.
I
went
to
the
Bistro
the
first
night
and
met
someone
who
was
new,
untrained
and
very
stressed.
He
did
his
best
to
accommodate
me.
But
the
menu
that
night
was
limited
to
a
burger
and
fries.
My
Old
Fashioned
ended
up
being
a
straight
glass
of
$14
whiskey.
The
staff
did
what
they
could,
but
this
is
clearly
a
huge
failure
on
the
part
of
management.
Overall,
it
was
Marriott
prices
and
I
should
have
just
stayed
in
a
Motel
6.
