Taoist temple

👍 Out of the way toaist temple the location easily missed of the beaten track yet it holds a nostalgic history of the early chinese immigrants starting a new life in Batu Gajah. Most probably as laborers into the mining industry. A hard life but rewarding to be able to remit money back home to help... People often mention temple,

This is a very 100 years old Chinese Temple. Very traditional and historical. In the 7th lunar month, Cantonese Opera will be staged here. Worth watching.

The cultural and spirit center of Batu Gajah, this ancient temple was located off the river jetty whereby Chinese migrants used to disembark and begin their new life in colonial Malaysia. The temple pays tribute to the Chinese God of War and in days gone past, traditional Chinese opera and festivals would be held here for the community. Worth a visit to experience a slice of history.

Guan Di Temple with 128 year's history famous for their smiling face Guan Di. A peaceful place for prayer, parking space available inside the temple.
