It's
a
shame
to
read
the
current
reviews
on
here.
This
being
our
3rd
stay
her.
2018,
2019
and
now
February
2022.
I
shall
let
you
read
this
with
an
experienced
view.
The
reception
is
OK,
however
the
staff
were
young
and
not
that
welcoming
compared
to
a
Juice
guy.
That's
the
welcome
I
should
getting
from
the
Hotel
reception.
The
passport
guy
at
the
airport
even
welcomed
us
to
The
Gambia.
No
real
guidance
on
where
to
go
however
as
mentioned
it
was
our
3rd
visit
to
easy
find
our
room
without
having
to
pay
for
someone
to
take
our
bags.
Due
to
flight
times
the
money
exchange
was
not
open
in
the
reception
but
there
was
plenty
out
on
the
main
road.
Having
a
local
friend
to
haggle
the
exchange
rate
was
good.
We
got
a
better
rate
from
the
listed
one.
The
food
is
still
as
it
was
3
years
ago
for
breakfast
with
a
full
range
of
cooked,
fresh
foods
and
fruit.
Cakes
and
cereals.
The
only
comment
on
this
was
the
lack
of
eggs
cooked
ready
and
the
food
wasn't
very
hot.
It
would
also
be
nice
considering
what
the
world
has
been
through
if
holiday
makers
use
the
tongs
instead
of
fingers!!.
That's
exactly
how
germs
are
spread.
We
carried
sanitizer
around
with
us
and
used
it
regularly.
Face
masks
are
not
mandatory
but
some
staff
were
wearing
them.
Our
temperatures
were
also
taken
on
arrival
so
some
measures
were
in
place.
N
Block
compared
to
some
others
is
alittle
tired,
and
we
did
struggle
with
a
heavy
sliding
door.
But
we
spoke
to
the
cleaning
team
who
said
they
would
get
someone
to
look
at
it.
The
hot
water
took
along
time
to
come
through,
but
a
warm
shower
can
be
just
as
nice.
The
staff
are
very
friendly.
Treat
them
with
respect
and
they
will
return
it
to
you
10
fold
!!
The
staff
recognised
us
even
after
a
3
year
gap
because
of
Thomas
Cook
going
bust
and
Covid.
It's
great
to
see
a
happy
friendly
face.
Some
haven't
been
so
lucky
to
get
their
jobs
back.
Covid
has
affected
every
country
and
they
are
grateful
to
see
tourists
coming
back.
For
most
without
us
they
struggle.
The
hotel
was
the
busiest
out
of
them
all
along
the
coast.
The
kariba
was
practically
empty
and
also
the
Balafon
not
much
better.
More
people
means
more
staff,
more
entertainment
etc
etc.
The
pool
is
very
clean
and
daily
activities
are
starting
to
come
back.
There
are
loads
of
sun
loungers
without
the
battle
to
secure
one
in
the
morning.
Make
friends
with
the
beach/pool
assistant
and
he
WILL
save
you
one
if
you
want
it
the
next
day.
The
traders
are
up
and
down
all
down
but
just
say
no
Thankyou
and
they
keep
moving.
Same
with
the
juice
guys.
Their
juices
are
lovely
and
refreshing
so
try
one.
π
but
they
will
all
be
over
if
you
stop
or
show
the
slightest
of
interest.
Remember,
if
you
don't
want
it.
Just
say
NO.
They
take
the
hint
but
please
be
nice.
The
daily
vulture
feeds
are
not
currently
being
done
but
we
don't
mind.
The
smell
of
rotting
carcus
wasn't
pleasant.
They
still
circle
and
land
so
its
worth
a
visit
to
see
them.
The
street
restaurants
are
all
open,
some
new
ones
and
acouple
that
have
ceased
trading
some
nice
modern
shops
to
have
opened
outside
the
hotel
too
and
a
convenience
shop.
We
are
here
till
the
18th
February
and
enjoying
being
back
here.
