Excellent stay here! We came for our honeymoon and it was excellent!! Seminyak is such a fun area in Bali! This hotel was right on the beach. Easy walk to the town and spots. The rooms were very clean and we had a beautiful ocean view. Pool area was so nice, with the serene pools and beach bar pool. The sunsets on the beach by the pool are gorgeous!! Loved it!! We had a late flight the day we were checking out and they were so accommodating. They allowed us to use the amenities and provided us a room to shower and get ready before heading to the airport. That was really kind of them. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our honeymoon!!

Stunning hotel and rooms. The staff were incredibly attentive and the food was delicious. Breakfast was a mix of buffet and to order which was perfect. Would recommend eating at the Seasalt restaurant in the evening too! There were a choice of pools you could lounge which suited us due to wanting to avoid children so we opted for the serene pool on one day. The beach bar food and drink were also amazing. Evenings at the bar often had great music and vibes which attracted a younger crowd.

Shortly after we arrived, I reached into my bag and cut my finger on a razor blade. I basically cut off the tip of my index finger...it bled ALOT. Asih at the desk was incredible, bringing bandaids, iodine, gauze, and a bowl of ice to help stop the bleeding. She then proceeded to wrap and bandage it for me like a pro! We then proceeded to our treatments- we booked a half day - Balinese massage, cooling body polish and facial for me, Seminyak massage, body scrub and sport mani/pedi for Mark. Mega and Dewa were incredible! And the private treatment room was so nice, we really felt spoiled. After our treatments, we went to lunch (pictured) and had the root vegetables & tomato tartar for appetizers, and the rice noodles (wow) &cauliflower asparagus (double wow!) for the mains. The crew at Seasalt was wonderful, and the ocean view was killer. Highly recommend!! ❤❤❤

We visited Alila before the pandemic for the thought of doing our wedding there; we found the resort beautiful, so, we booked four night stay in the King Deluxe, which was the lowest tier of their rooms. We paid almost AUD320 a night. We are still mesmerized by the lobby area (though at night it is simply too dark), the main pool, and direct access to the beach; it's just beautiful. However, to our surprise, we didn't know the Deluxe rooms we've booked were secluded in a different building away from the main one. Our facility definitely had a different vibe, doesn't have all the perks we see in the main building, and it didn't feel like a $300 a night experience anymore. We only learnt then that the rooms in the main building are only suites. If we have booked the suites, we could have stayed in the main building, but we didn't know. We felt like our room is underwhelming for the price we pay. The room felt average, with no desk (which we needed to work remotely), a small bathroom, and a shower. We could hear someone slurping coffee in the morning and browsing the cabinet from either the next room or the room on top of us. There are opportunities to improve the deluxe rooms; however, at the moment, it felt like the deluxe rooms were an afterthought, there was no experience, and it felt like people who booked the deluxe rooms were tucked away and were not to be seen. We may have had different experiences if we booked the suites, but a lack of communication about the rooms led to misaligned expectations.

Disappointed to find on check-in that the King Deluxe room I booked was in a separate building at the back on the property and you had to either catch a buggy or walk across a boardwalk to the room. This was not stated on the hotel website when I booked the room 3 months in advance. On booking & also when I checked in, I advised the reception staff that I require Gluten-free options to be available. At breakfast I was told that the kitchen needed 24 hours notice to accommodate for some gluten free requests. The reception staff hadn't even bothered to pass this information on to the kitchen! Very poor customer service for a 5 star hotel. The waiting staff in the restaurant however were lovely and very accommodating to my requests. The rooms were quite clean apart from the bathroom that needed a good scrub. Overall compared to other 5 star hotels, I would rate it as a 4 and wouldn't stay there again.

This is my first trip to Bali and Alila Seminyak is my last stop before I fly back. The verdict? I wish I can give more than 5 stars. The whole guest experience is just fabulous: the room has nice view and amenities; the staffs are super friendly and helpful (some can be quite chatty but in a good way); the spa is heavenly (I don’t like massages but their Balinese massage made me so relaxed and sleepy);the breakfast service is great (can be better, though I say this because I have a different food preference); the hotel wasn’t fully packed and health protocol was observed well. I’d return again gladly when I can!❤️

We went to sea salt, which was amazing. Yet, we saw how their staff (Sweeper) on the beach treated stray dogs quite badly. It's recently during rain, when the dogs tried to mark on the trash on the beach they already swept, the staff attempted to hit the stray. It's a big turn off for sure. This area is likely the original habitat of Balinese dogs, they are supposed to be more friendly towards them. The security is also not that friendly, and looks very arrogant. We won't come back. Bali is about harmony with the environment including all animals, people and God. The staff clearly need a better training in terms of Balinese philosophy.

10/10 resort. Rooms 9/10, resort 10/10. All you can ask for, brilliant service, intimate hotel, breakfast made to order buffet. Highly recommend for those seeking time off and time away. Potato head and W are better for your party vibe (although you can walk from the beach to either within minutes!) Kudos Alila!

Staying here was an experience! I booked the ocean view suite, and it was the best experience I’ve had so far in Bali. The view is majestic and falling asleep to the sound of the waves is something nice to get used to. The breakfast is had overlooking the sea. The food is not something to write home about, but the view and the service compensate it. There are 3 pools, 1 main pool near the bar, and 2 infinity pools in residents area. The beach club is also nice. A good way to view the sunset without having to pay a minimum charge (if you’re a guest).

Came here to the beach bar for a drink and watch sunset as an outside guest. Free towel, pool access and shower room as long as you buy a drink, no minimum spend no booking require. 100% would recommend this place over near by beach clubs. Hotel quality, unobstructed ocean view, no party crowds, very relaxing and private than beach clubs

Alila stylish and modern architecture is a blend of sophistication and relaxation, providing the perfect atmosphere for a luxurious getaway.I had a great experience at Alila Seminyak hotel. I stayed for a week and loved everything about it. Location wise, the hotel is in the center of Seminyak where you can reach most of the things. My room was junior suite with an amazing view. Also, guests can choose from a variety of spacious and elegantly appointed rooms and suites, all featuring private balconies with panoramic views of the ocean. The hotel's amenities include a fitness center, Yoga class early in the mornings and multiple swimming pools. Also the hotel's signature spa is a true oasis of tranquility, offering a range of rejuvenating treatments and massages using only the finest natural products. The spa also features a sauna, steam room, and hot tub for guests to relax and unwind in. Overall, Alila Hotel is the ultimate destination for travelers seeking a luxurious and pampering vacation by the sea. I have added pictures from my room and some random pictures of the hotel while I was there.

We stayed in the room with a terrace by the pool, it was incredible. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent with big variety of options. Great service. Best sunset view snd ocean breeze. I loved our stay and would come back.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family for few nights and found it to be a cozy space with a small but well-kept room. While the view was ordinary, the strategic location made up for it, offering easy access to key attractions. The cleanliness standards were impressive, and the staff provided excellent service throughout my stay. Overall, it is a comfortable and convenient choice for family vacations.

Had the most amazing experience in Bali thus far, due to the Alila Seminyak. We booked a standard room online, not knowing there are multiple buildings, but we wanted to be close to the pools, so we upgraded. They ended up giving us the equivalent of two upgrades and we got to stay on the ground floor in a large room right by the pool. This resort is GORGEOUS and the staff are AMAZING. Anytime we needed anything, it was brought to our room within 5 minutes. They are so incredibly respectful and our room was always made up so nicely. Service staff at the pool and restaurant are also amazing. Definitely on the higher price for Bali, but worth every dollar. Easy access into town as well - they’ll even buggy you there. Highly recommend, we had such a nice vacation! Can’t wait to come back!!

We spent 7 nights at the Alila Seminyak and were thoroughly impressed. This was our 1st trip to Bali but we stayed at another resort in Kuta for the first 3 nights of a 10 night holiday, just so we could get the "full Bali experience". We have done a lot of traveling, stayed in some beautiful hotels and resorts all over the world, but there was just something about Alila Seminyak that will always be front and centre in our memories. This resort and its wonderful staff have something a lot of places don't... attention to detail. To say their attention to detail was fantastic is an understatement. The suites are beautiful, spacious and very clean. The suite was maintained twice a day with plenty of bottled water and turn down service in the evening. The infinity pools are awesome, and with the resort situated close to the beach, it feels like the ocean is a continuation of the infinity pool. The restaurant, Sea Salt is beautiful. Gorgeous food, gorgeous ambience and a stones throw from the beach, you'll be tempted to go for a walk straight after breakfast. Now, back to that attention to detail... I got quite badly sunburnt one day and one of the hotel supervisors’ (Rina) noticed and advised me that grated cucumber would be good to soothe the pain from the burn. Next time we back into our room there was a note on the coffee table from her saying that there was a plate of grated cucumber in the bar fridge for me and I should apply it to my back to soothe the pain. How unbelievably kind and thoughful! Of all the guests she has to think about, she remembered my sunburn and sent to the kitchen to get me some cucumber.... this small gesture of kindness made a huge impact on me and probably saved me from having an extremely uncomfortable day the next day... She even saw me in the lobby the next day and asked how I was feeling...sometimes its the little things that make your holiday one to remember. Rina wasn't just a one-off either, every single staff member we came in contact with was absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful and genuinely pleased to see their guests. We can't wait to return to Bali, and we can't wait to stay at Alila Seminyak again and would not hesitate for a second to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a couples or family holiday... Alila suits all ages as well. Looking forward to our next trip Bali next year.

Exceptional stay! The hotel staff's commitment to guest satisfaction is evident in every detail. From the warm welcome at check-in to the impeccable room cleanliness, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The amenities are top-notch, and the on-site dining options showcase a diverse and delicious menu. The location is convenient, providing easy access to local attractions. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is a prime choice for a comfortable and memorable stay. Kudos to the entire team for creating an environment that feels like a home away from home!

Beautiful hotel right on the beach, spacious rooms with great views. We loved sitting on our balcony listening to the crashing of the waves. Their breakfast buffet has hundreds of items. The infinity pools are beautiful. We would love to stay here again.

Amazing hotel! Very helpful staff and a great location. Slightly away from the crowds of Seminyak but walking distance also. The hotel is very luxurious. We was kindly upgraded to a suite which overlooked the pool and beach area. The suite was unbelievable. We opted not to have breakfast included as we wanted to try the many Cafes and brunch spots available nearby. Would love to return back at some point in the future!

We stayed here for 4 nights and they provide excellent service, however the hotel, the room, the bathroom needs retouch. The room feels a bit humid so I call the information center. After that, they quickly sent the engeineering staff to check on the AC, and also they sent the room freshner aromatherapy (really thank you for this!). Their breakfast was amazing, sunset view from the pool bar was amazing. This is also a kids friendly hotel, they provide some kids activities and delicious kids menu.

I couldn’t tell you a bad thing about my stay here. This place was absolutely stunning, views were lovely staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They organised breakfast to be brought to us before breakfast hours as we had a day tour and on the day of checkout also. If you wanted to, you wouldn’t even need to leave as the spa was on premise and amazing might I add. The gym was also nice and spacious with just enough equipment and multiple pools as well as the beach right out the front. Will be staying here again for sure.

This hotel is super nice and workers are really nice! Pools are great to relax with kids. Pool chairs usually gets taken fast so it’s best to come early and grab a chair or keep an eye out for people leaving. I love that it’s right on the beach! I also love that they offer babysitting for under 5, just make sure to reserve with the front desk the day before. It makes having a quiet dinner with the hubby or just a relaxing day without having to worry about the kids. They do have a play place in the hotel for kids 5+ with no extra charge. Almost every hotel offers kids activities throughout the day.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights after enduring 22 hours of flying from the US. It was a very nice place to get settled in and relax before we moved in to our next spot. Free breakfast buffet every morning with rotating dishes each day and made to order entrees at your disposal. The seafood lunch buffet was fantastic for an affordable price! Rooms were very clean and the service top notch. They were able to get us moved to a higher floor since we were in viewing range of one of the pool lounges and wanted a little more privacy and also gave us a better view of the ocean! Resort also had beach access though swimming was off limits due to the riptide. Overall, a great place to stay.

Alila always delivers. Great food, service, views and Dj at sunset. I have been coming here for years and quality is very consistent whether you stay in the hotel or just come spend the day. Minimum spend is very reasonable and in my opinion way better than Potato head next door.

Exceeded expectations. Amazing views, super friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet (actually the best thing ever). This place has several pools, a pool bar, restaurant, gym, and spa to keep you busy when you don’t feel like strolling the beach. It’s walking distance to all of the restaurants, bars, and shops of Seminyak. I’ll be returning when my bank account recovers.

The resort is still beautiful after all these years. Breakfast is a highlight and if it’s not included is certainly worth it. Pool bar prices are high. Resort is very clean and the staff are always smiling (how can people be this nice)! I would suggest they improve the arrival experience as greeted by security being the first interaction and nobody is really waiting at the driveway with a welcome drink etc. loved staying here though

10/10, 5 stars and everything else in between! One of my favourite hotels ever and I’ve been everywhere. Only bad points are it’s very very expensive, a bit too much tbh. Also the toilets have no privacy, very odd to have frosted glass on the public toilets let alone the ones in the room with a big hole in them too. Staff are great and food is amazing! Worth a visit if you like a chill atmosphere with a little luxury

Amazing resort by the beach in Bali! 5 Stars all the way! Room was always clean and all comforts provided. Impeccable service! Their breakfast buffet was really topnotch with all their selections, including local exotic fruits that I love like mangoes, mangosteen, dragon fruits and so much more local Bali delicacies! Asked for their airport car service pick up and it was not only seamless, they had a meet and greet that was fun, efficient and made us comfortable and the driver Hendra made us feel safe and made the start of our trip amazing from the airport all the way to the hotel and back to the airport after our great vacation! I apologize! Photo I have doesn't give justice to this place.

This is our third time staying at Alina and it still never ceases to amaze. Nothing more relaxing than lounging poolside (3 to choose from, so it’s never too busy) with a drink in hand and a book in the other. The food is incredible, only to be outdone by the drinks. Staff are also incredibly attentive. We stayed in an ocean view room. Extremely pricey, but the rooms are well worth it - spacious, sophisticated finishes, king bed, and a balcony (and bath) overlooking the beach. Just keep in mind that the waves are noisy at night (didn’t bother us, but know it would keep my folks awake). Seminyak square is a 5 minute walk away, or an hour’s stroll to Kuta along the beach if you’re feeling more adventurous. All in all - loved it. Would be a nice gesture if there was some form of recognition for our continued return. Nevertheless, we’ll be back.

A very clean and tidy hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough to make your stay that very special stay of a lifetime. 5 star.

  • 5/5 Tjun S. 10 months ago on Google
A luxury hotel that delivers. Great location, great rooms, great pools and bars. The view is awesome too. The gardens are a beautiful frame to the modern tropical design of the hotel. The only downside is the sometimes too loud neighbour, Potato Head Beach Club, which could disturb the rooms nearer to that side of the property.

  • 5/5 Safrudin 10 months ago on Google
In our opinion, this hotel has succeeded in presenting a relaxed holiday atmosphere but also feels dynamic because the hotel layout is not monotonous & and you don't have to walk far from your room if you want to go to the swimming pool or even to the beach. The staff are also friendly & warm, their uniforms are also involved so relaxed but still professional in serving us. Another thing that is outstanding is their restaurant called Seasalt. The taste of the lunch & dinner menu is far from the impression of hotel food. The taste of eating is tasty & lively so you can eat it voraciously.

  • 5/5 Amanda B. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely beautiful hotel, staff amazing, food at Seasalt, bar and in room dining all excellent and very reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Service also very good. Rooms are pricey but you get what you pay for.

  • 4/5 Adrian P. 1 year ago on Google
Great staff. location and accommodation however there are not enough pool lounges for the size of the hotel. At the beginning of our 10 day stay people were saving the lounges for hours without even being there (ignoring the 15 minute policy) By the end of the stay this had improved but unfortunately we felt they could have more lounges and umbrellas on the infinity pools. On our last two days we attempted to use the pools in the afternoon but there were not enough lounges and had to go back to our rooms More umbrellas and lounges are needed
