Listen, this is a military bar on a military installation. If you want 5 star service go somewhere else. For a base bar, you have great views right on the water, you get cheap food and drinks and no frill service. We had chips and salsa with cheese dip - cheap and good. We had philly cheesesteak sandwiches - cheap and good. We had rum runners...guess what - cheap and good. Enjoy yourself, enjoy the view, enjoy watching the huge iguanas running around.

We were driving around and trying to find the perfect Sunset in the Keys! Hands down we hit the jackpot! You felt safe immediately & the island is amazing! The Food and Bar Beverages are separate. You walk up to bar and order drinks and run a tab if you would like. Food is the same fashion. Order across the dining area outdoors and the folks will bring to you. We went with the Smoked Fish Dip and the Sweet Potato fries! Started off with the Best Key Lime Pie! Hidden Gem to look for! We witnessed the most excited lil Trivia coordinator! Good times! Great photo ops! Support this place!

Update: Two stars is for Hideaway Grille. It’s gone down hill. Here in October and the shrimp is terrible!! Soggy fries. They aren’t even serving the food on the website… dang. Make a Hideawy Grille Google page so Sunset Lounge can keep its 5 star review. They aren’t even serving the steak or nice burgers anymore apparently. Must be all from a freezer. Sunset Lounge doesn’t serve the original food I posted about. They now have Hideaway Grill in the kitchen of Sunset and they make different food. In the beginning the menu was pretty nice but now it’s just a train wreck. Come here for the Sunset Lounge part and have drinks on the water. I would skip the food until they figure out how to change things up for the better. Original Review: Awesome little spot on the water. Very chill vibe. The food is great. This is the kind of place you go and everyone remembers your name. Food was basic but great. Bartender is awesome!

Unbelievably amazing place. The staff was courteous and super-fast with the food. The food was amazing, and the beer was cold!! The staff was super friendly and nice to my children and wife. The best sunsets in all of Key West for half the price of out in town. We're extremely lucky to have places like this to go to as Military members. Thank you for all that MWR does for us.

We were happy to see a couple of vegetarian choices are on the menu now. We had the vegetarian burger with fries and a choice of different cheeses. It was stacked high with fresh toppings and we were able to add our own condiments. The burger was tasty.

John who works at the bar is great,, makes everyone feel welcome. Drink prices are reasonable and good is pretty good.

Great views, yummy food. Loved that they had a corner with some outdoor couches to sit and relax with friends.

Every rv park needs a bar and restaurant! Overlooking the beach and great service from the bartender! Watch the sunset!

Great food here. We were there on business and ate at the restaurant 2x. Lots of choices in Key West, but most are way overpriced. This was a good value, I thought.

Got to campground last night and wanted quick bite after sunset show. This place was very good. The food and drink selection was as Expected and good. The sunset view was terrific and we walked back to camp. I had the Cesar salad and 6 coconut shrimp. The salads are large and dinner size so I would have made that my meal and added chicken to it. I would also ask for dressing on the side next time as it was too much for my taste. Shrimp were good. Partner had the mahi bowl and liked it very much. He had a rum runner and I had white wine. All good.

A hidden gem (truly, we accidentally found this while exploring). Absolutely must visit here to sit on the beach with their Adirondack chairs angled at the sunset. Great spot to watch the game too, lots of tvs and seating, servers were OG and were great.

Fantastic view, food, and bar. We had a wonderful dinner. Caprice salad with blackened Maui Maui was amazing.

This was a fun place to go on Friday night. But there were some rude drunks who came here. Not cool. Otherwise, food was great & bartender great. Played Bingo here after 5pm. Also, drinks are not updated, they don't serve Lemosis. Took pix on updated menu.

Certainly worth the view! Peel and eat shrimp was excellent with a big kick in the cocktail sauce. Several great tropical drinks. Other fried foods we're average but a great way to end the day.

If you want fancy food, fast service, go down town. If you want good prices, good food, great drinks, great people, fabulous sunset and the best bartender (John) on the island, this is the place.

Hidden gem! Great vibe. Excellent food! If you are thinking about it..go! James was our bartender and he crushed our cocktails!

We were looking forward to eating here and what a disappointment. 12 wings $24, fried pickles weren’t even eaten. Beef nachos had a few teaspoons of meat. No bathrooms either.
