My husband and I have been stopping in here to watch the Seahawks games since 2017. The start of my reason for coming here to Key West after being diagnosed with cancer. To enjoy life. Today, whoever this bartender was, was so completely rude. Unbelievable! Just because we were cheering an opposing team at a bar your working at doesn’t make you God. Holy goodness! I had to try very hard to compose myself or get possibly kicked out. That bartender was so flipping rude it was disgusting! How do you treat paying customers like that??? He even crumpled up the receipt I signed with his tip. AND THAT WAS BEFORE HE GOT EVEN MORE RUDE ABOUT MY HUSBAND AND I CHEERING OUR TEAM. I honestly wish I can take my tip back.

Well, maybe in biased, since I used to live just across the street... But, this place became my living-room. Infinite jukebox. Cold Beer. Package License. Foosball Table. Don, unlike more than a few other KW bar owners, is a genuine nice gentleman, who fosters that attitude throughout the Staff. I Miss Jill ... :( Sure, there can be disagreements in the parking lot, late at nite, on rare occasions... It's called alcohol. I never had no troubles, over the years I lived nearby. If you're visiting on Christmas - do yourself a favor, best Holiday Family Pot-Luck Dinner there is ! Still the Second Largest generator in KW, I don't know, but if the storm gets big, y'all know, the lights at Don's Place will still be On. And the Beer, cold.

Went in to buy what is normally a $20 bottle of brandy they did not have it so my husband substituted a bottle of Hennessey. He informed me it was $42 and change. Took it to clerk who did not give me total and rang it up, thenwas handed a slip to sign for over $90. My husband had mis read the price. Because it was already rung up he refused to void transaction After communicating with the owner we found out returns are allowed but the associates must call and get approval. The owner was able to credit our card without us making another trek across the island. Awesome customer service. Thank you.

The neighborhood dive bar. Drinks are cheap and not fancy. But for us, the entire experience was made pleasurable by the extremely congenial bartender. She was very sociable, humorous, engaging, and good at her drinks. When I hear the name, I would only recognize it by her. Open almost all night, great for anytime drinks. The atmosphere is chill. It's a great place to hang out.

Don’s place is a great local bar with great bartenders and the cheapest drinks! Had a great time there while in Key West. Shout out to Angus! We loved you ❤️

Only local bar in KW. Awesome staff. However. The liquor store needs to explain to the fat guy, how next in line works. It not the first time.I wait until its my turn. But to be told I need to hurry up. Lol. I’ll get my lotto at Dions. No worries.

Don’s Place is great for billiards, darts, and sweet jams on the juke box!!! 14/10 would recommend

Wow!!! Old school bar, with a very friendly local crowd. It took me back years. Awesome music, great staff, insane hours, 7am to 4am lol & good prices. Now, if you're not a smoker it may not be for you, don't go expecting anything fancy. Go because you miss the good old days & want to hang out.

I've been going to this neighborhood bar since it was CHE CHEs .outside or in grab a seat and enjoy a cold one . This type of bar was alot more common back in the day stop by for a quick one or an afternoon buzz.

Beat local, non-tourist spot ever. Our TN crew loved the staff and the patrons. Became a daily stop for us while visiting. We still talk about the place. Cannot wait to go back. Patrick was so much fun. Reasonable prices. Hilarious staff. Everyone knows everyone. After one visit you become part of the family.

Love the place and the people I met there but the thin, nappy haired bartender on 1/20 is plain ignorant and very rude person. Loved the gal working on Monday. I won't be coming back.

Born and raised in Buffalo. We found Dons online as a reccomended local favorite. It was very close to where we stayed. We got there early ( wanted decent seats ) and Maria the bartender was fantastic !! The place was full of some Great Bills fans by gametime. They even served some really good food for the patrons. Thank You Dons for the hospitality !! Go Bills !!!

Great dive bar! And place for Bills Mafia. Sadly was there for the Bills/Cincy game, but still wanted to give a heads up to future Bills fans visiting the Keys

Best local bar around. One bartender, Mike, doesn't like me because I dated his friend. As a local bartender and regular to this AMAZING BAR ( don't get me wrong ), I've been 86ed by the owner with no contact from her or any context because of his false statement. I've never disrespected a soul in this place and my after work night cap is destroyed because one bartender is just... mean. Simple. Wish the owner would have contacted me. I'm very kind, tip well, have managed 4 bars myself; I love every human there and am a kind soul. Honestly, my star level is for the treatment I've received with no care to follow up with me about it. Besides one vindictive bartender, that's not actually a bad guy, the whole staff is wonderful. Patrick Becca... my sanity. Go here. Enjoy, have a great time with our local family, but Mike... very uncool.

One of the last KW locals bar, and they treat snowbirds nice too. Tina, Maria & Jeff are great bartenders at the tiki.

We stopped in for a drink since our flight was going to be delayed. It's a cute old school bar with great service. The drinks were good and Don was super nice!

I find it difficult to give a bad review, but if there ever was a hole in the wall bar that deserves one it’s this place. I apologize but this place is the very definition of BAD. The owner is a belligerent POS and I wouldn’t wish this place on anyone. Do what you want, but I’ll never go there again and I will tell everyone I know NOT to indulge that sludge bar! Have NO clue how they get such good reviews, unless the local drunks review! Do yourself a favor and stay away!

My first time at Dons' Place was with my friend Herb Diegl with Universal Medical Lasers in 2000 and I was very impressed with the bar and the owners, Don & Don. I had a great time spending time there indulging in my favorite beverages and their great food. It also was my first experience playing bocce ball at the outside 'tiki bar' and throwing darts, and playing pool inside as well. For a memento, I even bought myself a bar tee shirt, (which I still have and wear to this day). It's been a long, long, time since discovering Dons' Place and Key West and I plan to go back in the very near future...

Definitely one of the cheapest places to get drinks on the island! Great little locals bar with indoor and outdoor options. TV’s and pool tables for your enjoyment!
