I recently had a delightful dining experience at Caroline's Cafe in Key West, Florida. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful patio dining area. It was perfect for enjoying the Florida sunshine while savoring my meal. The fact that the restaurant allows dogs made it even better as I was able to bring my furry friend along. The staff even brought over a bowl of water for my pup to enjoy. Speaking of the staff, they were all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and excellent service. Our server was patient, attentive, and made some excellent recommendations. The staff's experience and professionalism were evident in every interaction. Now, let's talk about the food and cocktails. Caroline's Cafe has an extensive menu with a wide variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was simply divine. The cocktail menu was equally impressive, and I tried the "Hemingway's Hurricane" which was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. Overall, I would highly recommend Caroline's Cafe to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Key West. The beautiful patio, friendly staff, and extended menus are all reasons to visit.

Duval yum yum!!!! Want outside dinning with good food? Stopped in for lunch with my nieces. Was able to be sat right away. This place is very big with all outdoor seating. Don’t worry they have covering for almost all the seats. Staff was very friendly, food presentation was great, taste was better. Excellent choice for the value. You can sit right on duval or escape into the back. They also have a couple outdoor bars for those looking for happy drinks. Would definitely go back.

Outdoor spot covered by huge umbrellas and cooled with water fans. It’s a small spot with a great atmosphere and great service. We all had the fish sandwich (what they’re known for) and it was humongous and tasty. The conch fritters were some of the best we had in the keys. Definitely a great lunch spot to try if you’re in Key West!

The wife and I cut the fish sandwich in half, filled us both up , delicious, can't go wrong the fish sandwich. Staff,food and the atmosphere were great... why wouldn't be your in Key West... Thanks Caroline's...

Very good food and service! I highly recommend for everyone to try them out. I had the fish sandwich (delicious and crispy) and my wife had the jambalaya (spicy and tasty). If I am ever back in the area, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Friendly staff, fish sandwich is a must to try. Sit close to the street, nice to watch people in the area. We had fun.

I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant. When we sat down, we didn't have high expectations because it was the first restaurant we came across and we were sooo hungry. The food delighted us. Portion size, speed, service, taste - all commendable. The salad was huge, as was the sandwich, and the pasta and paella were full of flavor. If you are looking for a place for a quick lunch in Key West, you have my recommendations.

My wife and I had a great time at Caroline's Cafe. We had wings for appetizers and both had Chicken and shrimp jambalaya, which was fantastic! It was so much food, had to take the rest to go as well as a piece of their delicious Keylime pie!

Excellent food and service. We loved being able to sit next to the sidewalk and see the people. The food was great. Our waitress Daria was super nice! The jambalaya was hot, but super tasty as well. We definitely recommend visiting for lunch or dinner. It's a super wonderful place. We will go back when we are back in town!

I'm sure there might be better restaurants in town, but we enjoyed eating here. Service was good and the 5 of us enjoyed their respective meals. Everyone agreed that serving sizes were more than sufficient.

We loved this place! Our food was great, this was my hubby's favorite jambalaya, they made it extra spicy for him and they have the best dolphin fingers. We enjoyed the lemonade and our waitress Gretchen was awesome! Please give them a try!! We will return, by the way, my only problem was the customers feeding the wild birds, don't do that!

We ate lunch there and the atmosphere was great. The food was OK but I didn't like the fish sandwich. Fish and chips would be my first choice if it was on the menu. The service was OK and the restaurant overall was average for an American style restaurant

You have to have your whole party there to get seated. Which was odd being that the place was not that full and it took a little while for our food to get to the table. The food tasted good. We got the peel and eat shrimp and the Dolphin Fingers. I also got the Island sytle roast pork bowl which was really good. The shrimp and bacon club was also good with a good sauce and get extra for your fries its a tomato basil mayo.

My wife and I went down to Key West for the day. We stopped in at Caroline’s Cafe for an early dinner. It was about 4:45pm when we arrived and we were seated at a nice table with the breeze of a fan on us. Jimmy, our waiter, greeted us with a big smile and was very friendly. I started with a watermelon Margarita, very tasty and Jimmy suggested the fish of the day, Mahi-mahi. So we both ordered that. The food came quickly and I was pleasantly surprised, with the fresh broccoli and generous rice portions. They had a wonderful homemade tarter sauce also. The fish was cooked to perfection, moist and tender. The rice had a kind of butter sauce that was very good. We both enjoyed the meal. And of course, we had to have a piece of Key Lime pie for dessert. That too was excellent. I can’t say enough about what a great meal and fantastic service we received. I left Jimmy a 25% tip because he earned every penny of it. Don’t forget to tip well when you get good food and great service. I would highly recommend Caroline’s Cafe to anyone visiting Key West.

Got recommended by a friend who said I had to eat here while in Key West. Came in for lunch and our party of 5 was seated right away. The food was delish. The shrimp po'boy was huge. They also have five dollar local craft beers. All seating is outside but there is cover and fans which helped us beat the heat.

Food looks better than its taste: salad dressing with too much vinegar, tuna lacked flavor. The chicken Boston wrap also didn't taste like anything. The best about this place is location and the outdoor sitting. Would not go back

My husband had the chicken sandwich and it was sooo good! If I haven’t had eaten, I’d get the same sandwich as well. It was really flavorful and pared well with the key lime drink. We shared a slice of key lime pie and it was really refreshing! There was a little store kinda connected to the restaurant if you’re looking for souvenir. Great atmosphere and great service!

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I'm a big fan of Po' Boy and Caroline's Cafe serves some of the best. You can tell the shrimp is fresh and seasoned/breaded to perfection. The bread was also amazing which made every bite enjoyable. The staff was nothing short of amazing. Definitely coming back again.

If you visit Key West you have to grab a bite to eat at Caroline’s!!!! Staff is extremely friendly. Food is to die for! Full of flavor and plenty to eat on the plate! Great location and prices are great! So come on down to Key West and fill up with some fantastic food!

Cute spot on Duvall Street, FL. Prices around $15 to low $30's for food. Food was good. I wasn't blown away but good. Nice outdoor place to eat. Clean. Good people and conversation. The locals seem to love it though. Good place to try atleast once in Key West.
