The food was just okay. The bruschetta had a cucumber that didn't really go with the rest of it. The Bolognese sauce was dry, but the flavor was good. Pasta was overcooked a bit. The view was great. Most seats faced the giant windows that looked out into the ocean. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Absolutely wonderful dinning experience! The food is incredible and so fresh! The staff is extremely attentive to every need and so friendly! I do recommend making reservations because they do get busy and fast! But by all means it's worth every penny and minute to have a authentic, calming and lovely Italian meal while visiting Key West! You won't be disappointed!

Great ambiance, gigantic menu, and authentically prepared Italian food. The location is an asset in terms of being away from the congestion down by Mallory Square, and free parking. A window seat nearer the ocean wouldn't be that important to me bc the view isn't significantly improved. Our table in the second row was beautiful at sunset. I thought our server Christopher could have been more attentive. His greeting came in the form of an apology, about 7 minutes after we were seated. So we sat there for another few minutes before he actually came back, said hello, introduced himself, and took a drink order. Fortunately the drinks arrived quickly. I highly recommend the Lemon Drop cocktail, and my husband was glad to get a plain old Miller Light, although there were plenty of craft beers to pick from. The buffalo mozzarella salad was fresh and delicious, the scallops were cooked perfectly, and I doubt there is a better lasagna anywhere else. Those Italian restaurant chains can't touch this. Go to "Open Table" to check for a reservation at Trattoria Oceanside before you think you need to. They're very busy.

This place gets five stars because our server was wonderful. Went here for our one year wedding anniversary and we mentioned it in conversation to our server. He then went above and beyond to make our night extra special. Thank you so much Andrew for blessing us on our anniversary and treating us so well! We will never forget your kindness :) The food was good. The drinks were good. The service was great.

This restaurant is located near the airport, which makes it very convenient to find it.The prices here are quite reasonable, if you do not order alcohol. And the staff is quite polite. Everything was delivered on time and the order was accepted too.The food is very tasty.

Beautiful location across from the ocean-just perfect for our first night in Key West! Very romantic spot, reasonably priced and the food was very good! The grouper in the mango reduction was very tasty! The fettuccine Alfredo was not overly heavy/cheesy…thin light noodles..just fantastic

OH-MY-GOD! This place is amazing. Really good bread to start with and the gnocchi pasta was out of the world. Service was really good too. Only con was the bruschetta -it tasted fine but the portion size was very small. Highly recommend when in key west!

Everything about our experience here was great except our waiter. He wasn't horrible but lots of room for improvement. He would walk until about 5 ft away look at the table real fast, turn and leave. 4 out of 5 of us wanted a refill. By the time we were able to get his attention the meals were finished.

Truly a 5-star experience. Sits on the coast looking over the ocean, our experience started with an excellent, classy server well versed in the full menu and extremely polite. The mixed cocktails and wine were superb. Stuffed mushroom appetizer and walnut gorgonzola salad to start were prepared perfectly. I had the veal saltenbuca, it was phenomenal.

They prepared our fresh catch as an appetizer. Bruchetta was awesome, Bread was perfect. Great drinks. Penne Abbotts you want some spice. Add your meat, hot Italian sausage was a good choice. Nice view if the ocean.

We dined here last night to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere is good; as is the location. The service was OKAY, but the waitress only came over to us when we received each course. My husband asked for a Pepsi, and it took awhile; as did our food. The food was mediocre. My husband was okay with his veal dish; but it was completely smothered in sauce. I think there was more sauce than protein! My mother in law was okay with her fish. As for mine… I had the tortellini Virgilio and it was not good. The sauce was tasteless; and the tomato’s seemed to have been just thrown into the sauce, and not cooked. Odd, because that makes me think it’s not a homemade sauce? The sausage was over cooked as well. The waitress was unable to find her manager, but she did manage to take my item off of the bill. Funny, because I’m pretty sure I saw him having a good time in the bar with the pink haired bartender on the way to the restroom. Last but not least… I would not recommend going if you have a baby. I took my seven month old, and upon arrival to the restroom; alas! No changing table in sight. I did not feel comfortable changing him on the floor, so I had to take him to our car. Overall, I won’t be dining in again. As locals, there are FAR better Italian restaurants in town!

Good customer service, and for American standards, alright restaurant food. As a tourist, maybe not expect proper Italian food, as the Arrabiata contained full uncut slices of garlic (?), and the Caprese was mainly a green salad. But they tried to make the ambiente nice, with good music, proper plates, and a service lady knowing her wines. So... on the better end of American restaurants, but in absolute terms, not great.

Absolutely FANTASTIC place! The staff was genuinely friendly. The drinks were amazing (martinis & wine). And the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE (escargot, stuffed mushrooms, hogfish, canneloni al forno, and ossobuco - HOLY MOLEY), !! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will be back... OFTEN! Extra kudos to Brit behind the bar, and our waitress, Savina.

Excellent dinner and service. We highly recommend both locations for an excellent dinner experience. Be sure to try Virgilio's at the downtown location for great music and after dinner drinks. The Espresso Martini and sidecar was fantastic.

Hidden gem away from busy, bustling Duval. Top notch in both service and food. Can’t believe we’ve never dined here before. Chicken Marsala and Sautéed Snapper in a lemony butter sauce were both delicious and generously served. Long list of martinis. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a group dinner with 30+ men. Pip was amazing working with us to create a set menu and seat us all in a semi-private section of the restaurant. The food was fantastic, the bruschetta was piled high, the charcuterie platters could have been meals themselves, the entrees excellent, the deserts amazing. Almost everyone exclusively picked the Chimmichurri steak or snapper, and there were no complaints anywhere. Mine was perfectly cooked, which is in itself impressive because skirts are so thin. The key lime pie was real and tart, and the tiramisu light and fluffy. Pip and her team were wonderful. Fast, friendly, courteous, and attentive. I'll definitely return on my own and recommend La Trattoria Oceanside for any group function.

Delicious food. Dined here several times during our 2 weeks in Key West. Great ocean view. Ask to be at Katherine's table. She goes above and beyond to make your dining experience memorable.

Came here for Christmas Eve dinner. We had a 5:00 reservation for 5 on OpenTable, but the restaurant claimed that we only had a reservation for 4 (despite our confirmation email saying otherwise). They seated us at a 4 person table with a chair on the end. They wouldn't seat us at a 5 person table because they had a 5:00 reservation coming in 30 minutes later. Despite the inconvenience, the food was pretty good overall. The service was outstanding. I would still come back here.

Oh this place is fantastic! The food is absolutely incredible. The ambiance is cozy, charming and exactly what you picture when you think of Italian restaurant. Our server Melina was attentive, knowledgeable and sold us instantly on everything she offered in her welcome message! We would definitely recommend and will be back here!!

I'm torn on this review. My wife's chicken picata was some of the best I have had. On the other hand. Carbonara is not Alfredo sauce with pancetta thrown in. It was disappointing to say the least. I am going to have to learn to ask how they make it. Don't order the Carbonara Ravioli. If you like Ravioli covered in Alfredo with pancetta you will probably be OK. If you want real classic carbonara, then this is not the place for you.

Location, location, location... They sit right on the ocean providing a fabulous sunset. Service started with a smile and a friendly family welcoming to what was a classic Italian location. The design and layout was a formal layout providing elegance and intimate feel. The menu was a painting of Italian history and each dish a battle of flavourful dances. The half portions were what most restaurants refer to as extra large. My daughter celebrated her birthday and they gave her the same consideration of the other adults in the room. In the end, if you are seeking a friendly, outstanding staff backing up a professional kitchen. This is your joint.

First time and won't be the last! Great service from our server Josh and 2 personal visits to our table to check on us! They even made a special dish for my husband that wasn't on the menu! 1st class all the way!

The location is excellent for an ocean view. We made reservations to be safe but could have walked up and still got in before 7 without any issues. The mussels were a bit tart/bitter for our liking. Both pasta dishes were really good but could have used more seafood.

We had a great New Years Eve dinner with a wonderful waiter...but unfortunately 5 hours after we left my wife got violently ill with food poisoning. We narrowed it down to the Bolognese as this was the only dish we didn't share. It understandably put a damper on our anniversary celebration, but after getting rid of the food she was fine. Would go back, but would skip the bologna next time.
