Great is Gruppy. Awesome knows drinks, went back again bartender Annette is awful. Rude, drunk, taking shots, ran patriots off, couldn't ' get orders right , very sad. Hope she doesn't ruin a great business. Get rid of Annette. Terrible at making drinks & didn't get our drinks right. Worst bar tender ever. Fire her if u want business.

I love this place! Yummy martinis, and top shelf, hard to find liquors. Get the caviar! The staff is amazing, and if you see Annette, tell her I said hello! 😊

Bad service!!! We walked up and began looking at the menu outside. An older blonde woman walked outside, was very rude and pushy about what we wanted to order. When I asked her about some of the drinks she was incredibly condescending and rushed us into making a decision. We ordered a round of drinks and continued to peruse the menu. I walked inside to ask about changing the order having found something I wanted more than what ordered. I was taken aback by how rude she was when I asked her if she had made the drinks. I began to tell her not worry about it, that I would just order something different for the next round. Again, rude response that made me walk out and away from the restaurant. I can’t be bothered to leave a bad review but If you’re going to have an old, bitter, and impatient person tending bar you can expect bad reviews. It’s ok to have a bad night but don’t take it out on me.

Great cocktail bar! This place is different than a lot of other places in key west. Nice mix of locals and tourists. Annette work works there is hysterical and super entertaining. Good selection of wine, beer and mixed drinks. Thanks for a fun night!

Great cocktail bar right off Duval. Tried the drink of the day and relaxed in the less hectic atmosphere than the rest of key west. Annette is an amazing bartender and provided us with so many recommendations around the area.

Really great bar that is just off of Duval St but it feels like a million miles away in atmosphere. It's a smaller bar that does great craft cocktails. Highly recommend if you don't want to be packed into the larger bars on Duval St. We popped in at happy hour to escape the heat for a few minutes and our bartender Kate didn't disappoint. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the following night for a night cap

This is such a cool looking bar and great spot but the elderly woman bartender was probably one of the worst human beings I have ever encountered. She was extremely rude and terrible at making drinks. We ordered a simple cocktail and got berated by her for it and then she purpose ignored us and tried to serve other patrons. We and others walked out. She periodically puts a closed sign up if more than 6 or 7 people are there because she can't make drinks efficiently. If management is reading this please fire her. Every single one of your bad reviews mention her as the sole reason for leaving the bad review.

If you are looking for an atmosphere that is a bit above the typical beach bar, this is it. Small, comfortable and great cocktails. Yummy Smokey Old Fashioned. Katie did an awesome job bartending.

Stopped in briefly got a marg and charcuterie and it was outstanding. Cool vibe and solid drinks. Highly recommend.

A small little gem with a wonderful atmosphere and even better cocktails. Need a break from outdoor sweaty tourists slinging pina coladas? This is a wonderful spot that feels like a treat. The owner is lovely and makes fantastic drinks. Highly recommend coming in here after dinner, for happy hour, or as a date night. And they have AC!

Bartender Annette was awesome. Great conversation. Knows how to keep the customer happy. Upscale. Great cocktails. Very clean. Great decor. Bathroom was spotless. More expensive on Purpose. Did not try the food. Wish I had. Will be back. Update:. Returned four years later to find the same great place.

Great atmosphere and amazing drinks. The bar tender is working magic behind the bar here. We ordered their Roost Mule made with their homemade ginger beer and it was very good! Definitely stop in!

What a hidden gem! Tonight was our first time stopping in here for a drink. Great atmosphere and even better service. It is kind of like a speak easy ish vibe with dim lighting and soft music. Blondie is AMAZING! She is so sweet and made the entire experience wonderful. Definitely stop in here while in town!

The new person at The Roost was kind of disappointing. She did not have the right skills, seemed uninterested, and had problems dealing with difficult people at the bar. There were lots of mistakes with orders, which showed she was not ready for the rush. It is a shame because The Roost used to be awesome. I really hope they do something about it and make sure their bartenders get the right training. They need to get better and bring back the fun vibe that made The Roost a favorite in Key West.

Such a hidden gem! Great drinks, including craft cocktails and the best Moscow Mule on draft I've ever had. The atmosphere is cozy and sophisticated. Definitely a nice change of pace from Duval.

Annette is a true mixologist that makes some of the best drinks in Key West, but it’s her personality that makes this bar famous. She is a fiery woman that moves around the bar with an efficiency that makes you know you’re in the right place. Annette is assertive and commands the room. She makes fun of everyone in the bar, cracks jokes, and tells great stories. She is the authentic experience at The Roost. She makes everyone feel like they’re just hanging out in a living room with old friends, enjoying drinks. I have a group of friends that come to Key West every year; we always make our way to The Roost to say hello and have a few drinks with Annette. She is a wonderful person, and you will undoubtedly leave that place happier than when you arrived. If you plan to enjoy the sites and sounds of Key West, you have to grab a seat at the bar, order a drink you have never had, and enjoy a great experience with Annette.

Great little hidden spot off the beaten path. Try the espresso martini! It has quite a ‘kick’… nice selection of wine and liquor to go as well.

But the bartender Anette is extremely rude to male patrons the first time I just thought she was having a bad day but 4 months later same attitude just horrible....I'll still go back but try and skip her shifts.

This hidden gem on Fleming St has a great selection of carryout liquor, beer, and fine wine. But just don't walk in and purchase. If the Irish bartender Annette Foley is working, it's a must to sit and chat and enjoy with Irish humor! Honestly, returning visitors search down their favorite bartenders in Key West.
