They took great care of me. Very professional staff, caring and personable. I can’t say enough great things about the care I received. Everything was explained to me and all options were discussed in detail with me. Special thanks to my ICU nurses Laura and Geri. The hospital was overall one of the best I've been in. It's a small hospital and everyone was friendly. Concerned and ready to help in any way. Special thank you to Dr. Attila for his help.

Kudos to the medical staff at Lower Keys Medical Center, this week while visiting Key West a family member had a medical emergency, we ended up going to the emergency room where Dr Kristin helped us out, she was really helpful and understanding while assessing the patient, from there we were sent to room 309, the staff on that floor is the best I’ve experienced at a hospital, the nurses and Techs were professional, caring and helpful, I have to mention the ones I remember : Victoria and Mia from the night shift and Shanel and Karen in the morning, all of them are sweethearts, I loved the fact that we were treated like family. Keep it up.

I don’t know anyone who likes getting their mammogram done, but if you have to….go here. The moment you walk in, you are greeted and made to feel comfortable. I always feel so nervous no matter how many times I’ve had them done. Sherry was one of the most kind and calm person. Not to be weird, but she was as gentle as one can be and she was lovely to speak to. I was in and out in under 15 mins of walking in. You guys are wonderful.

I was forced to go to an emergency room even though I said several times my situation was not an emergency. After that I was billed for things that never happened, not a single doctor talked to me that day, only nurses, but I still got billed as I was checked by a doctor named Matthew Partrick, I swear I never even saw his face that day. They steal your money. Be careful.

I hadn't visited LKMC in some time and I was pleasantly surprised when I did this past week. The foyer was bright and clean. The receptionist was cheery and helpful. Admissions was fast and efficient. I had to go to the Radiology Department and the directions provided were spot on. All in Radiology were friendly and professional. Looks like whoever is running it now is taking care of business.

No doubt there are dedicated medical professionals who work here. The place is dirty and needs to be completely refurbished. The hospital rooms are like entering a time machine to the eighties. The bathroom in the lab had urine all over the floor. There was a power surge during a chest x ray and all the lab machines went out for about 10 minutes... doesn't exactly breed feelings of trust.

Went in for a CT scan and it was a smooth process, I got there early and was called to registration quickly and then back to radiology. It was a smooth process and I actually left 1/2 hour after my original apt time which definitely works….allowed me to carry on with the rest of my day! CT results were very quick as well, got them within 24 hours which was awesome! Keep up the great work!

Went there twice while visiting the keys (two separate trips) Super quick & thorough entry system. Very kind, helpful staff. I have NY insurance yet they still accepted it for the ER. Clean, new looking, easy to park. Can’t say enough good things about this hospital. Highly recommend. Many thanks to the staff, you are true pros!

I've recently had a few X-rays and a MRI of my left ankle which was ordered by my Primary Care Physician. My experience each time I visited the hospital regarding these particularl test, from the moment I walked in to the time I left, I was truly grateful & thankful for the outstanding service that I received. Everyone that assisted me during each time I was in need of getting through this process, your staff were extremely friendly, thorough & was taken care of in a timely manner. As I stated above, from my entrance into the main doors, the reception greeting was most delightful, then the outpatient registration were exceptional, as well as each dept. & the employees that took the necessary test were pleasantly incredible by allowing me to feel relaxed & most comfortable no matter what the outcome would be. I honestly could not have asked for better. I now have definitely taken notice that the hospital has changed for the best, running much more smoothly & I will certainly pass this information along to everyone & anyone I come into contact with! I sincerely appreciate all that you do & represent, Trisha Elizabeth Pinder

Thank You "Doc" Perry with the cool T-shirts, Nurse Mattie and her calming spirit, Darren (The Rock in ICU) and Patrick (who kicked my confidence and my butt back into gear). Went into ER via suggestion of my health Ins for MRI due to scooter 🛵 fall… No MRI was given … No physical examination, Was stuck in a hallway to sit on a stretcher - not even put in exam room, No blood 🩸 or urine tests.. Literally only asked few questions … 😳 Only asked a few questions & discharged … $1000 charge /bill 🙄 I’m sorry - that’s just not right. Still in pain 😣 Possibly fractured ribs & torn pectoral muscle .. This hospital literally didn’t address my medical issue. I’ll avoid ever going to this hospital 🏥 in key west 🏝️ I’ve gotten more proper medical 🏥 care at the Advanced Urgent Care center in key west . I’ll always go there going forward… At least my medical needs get tended to & not charged $1000 for merely asking few questions - like at the key west hospital 🏥 ( disappointed )! I’ve already spoke with my health Ins.. I’m going to appeal legally! 🙄 Update / noticed today extra costs / now totaling ti close to $1,600… 😳 For merely asking me a few questions & taking my blood pressure? That’s not right! Definitely being overcharged ! At this point the hospital is leaving me no choice but to dispute these overcharges! I’m demanding a full itemized document 📄 stating exactly what these charges are for specifically . I’m considering legal action if need be as well. Use serious caution in ref to this hospital. 😳

I had an amazing experience. The nurses were so accommodating. As a first time mother, I was scared that I wouldn’t be taken cared of. You always hear how the baby is well-cared for but the mother is forgotten. That was not the case. The nurses in labor and delivery were exceptional and I couldn’t be anymore grateful for every one of them. You made this first time momma so comfortable and I felt blessed to give birth in my hometown. Thank you so much!

I’ve been going to this clinic with Dr. Bonner for 2 years now. Unfortunately, my PCP is not available so they had me scheduled with Dr. Elizabeth Isalguez. The staff were super nice but the doctor who saw me was a disappointment. After waiting for 30 minutes, she came in and started asking questions. I could tell she wasn’t prepared and hadn't reviewed my history prior to the interaction. I intentionally did all my lab work the day before so she could review it with me but she doesn't even know I did all my pre-op orders already. I’ve waited another 20 minutes for her to print the results in her office. I had to get my own copy from my surgeon to speed up the waiting time. Her physical assessment wasn't thorough at all for someone who will give medical clearance for a major procedure. I didn't also appreciate that she was more focused on the computer typing instead of having an eye-to-eye interaction with her patient.

My C-section surgical team and postpartum recovery nurses were the absolute best. Thank you especially to my nurses Mandy, my day time nurse, and Jessica and Stephanie, my night time nurses. You guys have made me feel so comfortable and safe during this painful recovery and have been absolutely wonderful to me. I am truly grateful and appreciate everything you have done for me and my daughter ❤️

My fiance had sepsis and a emergency surgery to remove her appendix with a very large cyst attached. The staff and nurses were all amazing. We had to spend some time in the emergency room but they made sure to take care of everything as they were very busy. Once we got up to a room and met with Dr. Santiago I could breathe as I knew she was in great hands and everything was gonna be fine. All the nurses were polite and caring with everything going on. Dr. Santiago is a amazing doctor and is very kind and thorough with details and came everyday to check on her after surgery. We first went to fisherman's hospital in marathon and were turned away while my fiances life was at risk, key west would be my suggestion for any emergency services. Wonderful experience in a difficult time. We are so thankful for everyone that helped us.

There is nowhere else on Google maps that I can correct GOOGLE MAPS error. Disregard any "directions" using PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. The bus system was completely overhauled June 2023. There ARE NO BUSES/bus stops to the hospital /emergency room. And many other destinations. Passengers are urged to use the new on demand app. You find the most recent information at Key West transit. All info on Google maps for key west public transportation are OUT OF DATE and no longer pertinent.

Staff was friendly & helpful. The wait at registration was excessive. One clerk with 3 persons waiting. It took me 30 minutes to get registered. Then I went to have my tests. The Labs took maybe 10 minutes and the EKG took about 40 minutes as there was a line of patients. All over review was above average.

I was thoroughly impressed with my initial experiences at LKMC, from the staff at Registration to the staff in Labor & Delivery. I had the most interactions with the L&D nurses, who were nothing short of amazing. They had great knowledge, compassion and patience. True professionals but also generally kind people. We’re so grateful for the care they provided me, my husband and our newborn as we experienced the birth of our first child. Thank you so much.

I came for a surgical procedure on May 9th and then was hospitalized for 5 days of recovery. During my stay I thought I received the best and most professional care from the time I was admitted to my discharge. The nursing care was phenomenal. I want to name a couple nurses I had during my stay that were exceptional. During the days: Laura Wake. And during the nights:Jaimie Mezon. They both made a huge difference in their level of care, competence and understanding. They are the best asset to this hospital! And I am very thankful for their care.

MEH! The Services provided by physical therapist was OK, although their office is terrible. They purposefully overcharge patients for unnecessary services. even though I let them know that I was not interested in PT services beyond what my insurance was paying, they didn't let me know my sessions were not covered! I have been charged for over $5500 for 4 PT sessions and NO ONE ever answers the phone over there to discuss! I've been calling the patient advocate and billing for months! CALL ME BACK PLEASE and help me through this!

From the moment I walked up to the door, engine was super friendly and helpful. I was we’re on a Sunday. It was quiet, I had to use the ER entrance check in because the main registration area was closed. When I walked in the north ER entrance the security gentleman advised me if this and walked me to where I needed to register. After registration was completed he to the ultra sound office. Debbie was there. She performed my ultrasound. She is Awesome. So friendly and comforting. She really took time explaining everything before it happened. Very friendly and knowledgeable!

Always a great experience when I come here. I've never spent the night at the hospital, however, I have been here many times for different tests and small procedures. Everything has been great from scheduling department, to the greater at the front door, to the ladies in admissions, to the technicians, and even housekeeping! Everyone I come into contact with inside this hospital makes my experience more pleasant. I've lived on the island for 17 years, so I've been to this hospital quite a few times. I've never been so impressed with it than I am now. I am so glad that on this little island we have a great place that provides exceptional health care. A big thank you to the employees at LKMC.

I had one hip replacement in April, and just had the other replaced at the end of September. What a wonderful experience with medical staff! From my check-in to my discharge. Special thanks to my attending nurses Laura during the day and Maria at night for putting up with me. Even the food was good. I survived Patrick's PT check both times, and the uplifting nurses that prepped me for surgery. Two hip replacements, and they all made it almost fun! Thank you all!

Scheduling is a nightmare, they don't answer the phone nor do they call you back when messages are left. That took four days. Once past that... I arrived thirty minutes early to get through the registration before my appointment. I ended up being twenty minutes late to the appointment in the radiology department due to the registration department. That is fifty (50) minutes waiting to initial a wrist tag so I could proceed to my appointment. The radiology department deserves FIVE stars. They were wonderful.

I had to have emergency surgery on New Years Eve. Sarah, Maggie, Pilar, Kevin, Hannah were the nicest nurses. Dr. Flanagan was the best doctor. If I had to have emergency surgery I am glad that it was at a hospital that had such nice staff and was so clean.

Love the entire team.

I had my first baby here and it was such a great experience. The nurses were all so great and made me feel super comfortable and safe from the moment I got in the hospital till the moment I left. I wish I remembered the names of all the nurses that took care of me and my baby and thank them one by one. Thank you for making labor and delivery such a great experience

Been there one time for a Dx Ultrasound on a reconstructed breast. Problems: 1)They were unaware of why I was there or the potential severity of my visit. Both technician and desk help were confused and upsetting. There are 4 people in the office and the person at the desk could not figure out who had just stepped out and spoken to me minutes before. 2)During the exam I was told nothing to worry about but the doctor would follow-up. No one has and the visit result recommendations were actually laughable. I am now VERY concerned about getting oncology care in Key West. 3) The other technician said I would get much better care there since CA, where I just moved from, was such a mess. So clueless and rude. I was within 40-miles of three of the top cancer care facilities in the world. 4) Lastly I was sent a follow-up survey link. No survey appeared just a thank you for participating and please give us a review. And so I have.

My husband and I have been in Key West for 31 years. During that time, we have both had several occasions where we required a total of eight orthopedic surgeries (five major!) and were fortunate to have been able to have them performed locally. From the scheduling department through the surgical department into the patient care and recovery staff (including the food staff), we give the entire process the highest marks. We love our “little hospital with a big heart” and recommend it wholeheartedly.

From registration to procedure, everyone has been so nice & has had a smile on their face. Today I had an MRI, the staff kept me calm & comfortable. I get freaked out in small spaces & by needles. Last week I had a breast biopsy. The ladies & the doctor were amazing. Again kept me calm, comfortable & talking to distract me. I can't remember names but the appointments were today 8/11 & last week 8/4.
