😠 They requested two (2) separate sleep studies. Instead of two, this could have been completed in zero (0) because a previous sleep study was already completed. My insurance company was billed $3000 for the first, then $3200 for the second. I did not authorize a specific dollar amount to be billed... People often mention doctor, asked, insurance, care,

They requested two (2) separate sleep studies. Instead of two, this could have been completed in zero (0) because a previous sleep study was already completed. My insurance company was billed $3000 for the first, then $3200 for the second. I did not authorize a specific dollar amount to be billed. Furthermore, I requested to be informed if there would be any out-of-pocket costs. This company failed to list specific fees, after I asked. $6,400.00 for two (2) nights? Dr. Ioana Carabin is not a pleasant service worker. And to be charged these absurd rates without explicit permission should be illegal. I suppose that being shielded by the American Medical Association, is permission to fleece insurance companies and her 'customers.' I'm filing a complaint with the AMA, and BBB.

Dr. Ioana Carabin is not a pleasant service worker." Don't waste your time and money, find a doctor who cares about you and respects the patient, Ioana Carabin MD was very rude with my wife after the Front desk employee poorly trained don't know how to explain the cost of a treatment without Insurance, they overcharge for the Allergy test, they charge for the price of a blood Allergy test $750 but they did a skin test and they charge $750.00 for the test plus $200 when A skin allergy test can cost around $300 or less. after all the Office gave two different prices for the same service, the Office gave a price for the allergy vial and couple days after they wants more money for the same allergy vial, we had to cancel the treatment because we no longer trust this doctor and ask for the deposit money back . Absolutely disappointed, I would never expect this from a doctor its all about $$$$$$

Unfortunately I have to use this place because of my insurance. The woman who runs the place has a very unpleasant bedside manner and I refuse to have her as my doctor. Fortunately there are a couple of men who work there that I can interact with but don’t go to They are and ask for the main woman who runs and owns the place. She’s very unpleasant as another reviewer said I can confirm this. notice I have my name on this review.

I went in the an impacted ear canal, and the male doctor had my ear feeling like I could hear again in minutes after them going at it with a vacuum. The copay for my Medicare was only $10! I left happy and able to hear. Good experience

I was in extream pain in my left ear on Friday. The receptionist said she would call me back to see if she had an opening. She called me back in less then 30 minutes and by the way was the sweetest woman, told me to come at 10:30! Dr Caraban knows her stuff she got me fixed up in no time and I am looking forward to my follow up appointment! Also they didn't take the insurance I had and it was cheaper then the other ENT who took my insurance😳Weird! Super grateful👂👍🏼

The Cuban lady in the reception, said “we don’t take your insurance” I paid half up front and the rest after the being seen. Turns out yes, they do take my insurance card, she just didn’t feel like doing the paper work, is been a month now and still waiting for my $195.00 reimbursement... PA doesn’t seem knowledgeable Doctor was just plain awful!

Had a great experience with everyone from the secretary to the doctors to my stay for the sleep study. The office is fast and extremely helpful. And now I am able to sleep easy. And I learned so much about my problem. No other doctor has ever took the time to explain why I need what I need. And I had one of the best nights sleeps at their health spa. Now I can finally enjoy the same sleep at home. Thank you.

I have gone to Island ENT over the years for various reasons. The latest was for my son and some ongoing allergies he was experiencing. The doctor is knowledgeable in the field but where they fell short is in the communication with us. My son had allergy testing and the result was to create a special mix to combat his airborne allergies. The special mix was a few thousand dollars to do, paid in advance and in cash / check. Only after I committed to paying this fee was I informed that they only give allergy shots from 5-7PM on Tuesdays! We got in a few rounds of shots but with school and sports and living outside Key West it became difficult to adhere to this schedule. I even tried to get the medicine transferred to another doctor but Island ENT made that also almost impossible. I just received a call today from the nurse to tell me the shots had expired. Thanks for that... it would have been nice to know the expiration date well ahead of today! Never again Island ENT.

March 21, 2023 After seeing my primary doctor, I went over with a printed referral to make an appointment. A staff member approached & with an unpleasant demeanor asked what we wanted. When I showed her the referral, she asked if we asked if we had called. No, we were close & wanted to set it up as I have been sick for over three weeks. She was so abrasive in our exchange, telling my husband & I to come back later since we had an attitude (?!?!). I asked if there was someone else we could speak to & she said she was the only one there. (Another woman was sitting at a different desk behind the counter.) We again asked to speak to someone & called her on how she was speaking to us. We were STUNNED to be spoken to that way. She ignored me twice when I asked her for her name and told us to get out of there as she walked away denying me medical care.

There is only One Ear, nose and throat doctor on the island and they don't take children under 12? Children under 12 are the ones that usually have ear and throat issues! When I called, the lady on the phone was curt, rude and when I asked if they knew of another ENT doctor in town as I only found one listing on the internet, she said "I am not a phonebook, try the internet, then hung up on me". So much for professional courtesy... or any courtesy.

Called today with an ear fluid question and spoke with the rudest and most impatient front desk receptionist. She would not even allow me to speak with a nurse to determine if I should make an appointment.

Dr. Carabain is an amazing specialist along with her staff members. I was having some ear complications so I made an appointment with my primary care provider that day. My primary care provider had diagnosed me with an ear infection, but later found it to be a misdiagnosis! A month later with no results & discomfort I found Dr. Carabain. I made an appointment with her & she diagnosed me with a bacterial infection in my ear. She expedited medications & within 2 days my ear pain had subsided. A week later my ear pain was completely gone. I'm grateful for her care and staff considering I had been in pain for over a month. You guys are great. Thank you so much Frank Wright

Dr. Carabin is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. I have had nothing but great experiences with her. I have dealt with sinus issues for most of my life. She is the first doctor that actually took time to evaluate the problem, care for me properly, and make a plan of care. Highly recommend this physician.
