2022 Feb - Best traditional Italian cuisine in town. Highly recommend, price is also reasonable and acceptable. 2022 Apr - added few more dishes. highly recommended again and again but Sea bass Laviola is case by case, it was not good at Apr 1st. 2022 Jul - Still fine, best in town. 2022 Sep - Have few of new dishes and highly recommend Avocado salad with Burata cheese.

The owner served it himself and examined it carefully, so I had a good meal

Really nice authentic Italian experience with yummi dishes: Salad with Bruschetta, Mushroom-Saffron Gnocchi, Pizza and Dragonfruit Panna cotta, served with Verdi's Nabucco. Excellent👌

Would recommend for sure. It’s definitely not the cheapest Italian but it has to be one of the best I’ve had in 6 months of Asia. It’s managed by a very happy Italian guy and the staff are all very professional

We by chance found this restaurant last night and were extremely pleased with our find. We order a large pizza and their special seafood on bruschetta appetizer. The pizza was as good as I’ve had in Rome or Napoli. After 2 weeks of Asian food a dinner in Italy was welcome. A carafe of their house wine was just right. The shared tiramisu was also very nice. Ed the General Manager was very helpful and recommended a nice grappa finish. We just arrived in Siem Reap and will make every effort to try the Il Forno here over the next few days.

Margherita pizza: it is average quality but I guess you can't expect much more in this part of the world. The pizza crust is crunchy, like a cookie, seems there isn't much yeast. Also, it seems a bit undercooked. There is basil on the pizza which is good, as in this country is not easy to find basil on pizza, but generally the basil is fresh, while in this case it looks cooked. For the rest it's just average, but at least it is a pizza and not just something that they call 'pizza'. Cheers.

I stopped by two days in a row! For the lasagna! It was perfect for me and I have eaten lasagna all over the world. Creamy, cheesy and fresh! The restaurant also has a nice wine selection to help wash down the lovely food. I wish I had more time to review other foods but not having the lasagna a second time before I leave the city would have been an injustice. 😂 I will be back…will I order something else ? Probably not.

What used to be my favorite pizza is no more. They used to use good ingredients. But... They used pathetic canned mushroom for my pizza few times. For 12usd it is super painful See the attached, before/after and it is easy to guess which one is which one just looking at these horrible canned mushrooms. I would prefer to pay 15usd but get the Pizza they used to make before. Now it is worth 6usd now in my opinion, no offence.

Great, authentic Italian food! Everything we tried was good. Some in our group were pleasantly surprised by their calzone. A bit pricey. Credit cards accepted. Recommended.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Phnom Penh with a very nice, modern atmosphere, delicious Italian food and a very good selection of top wines. That's why we went to eat at Il Forno twice on consecutive days.

    Incredible pizza, great service.

Excellent restaurant. And this would have been 4.5 stars if that was possible. We had a great meal. The prices were extremely reasonable given the quality. Only downsides - the service staff and kitchen need to work harder at getting food and drinks to the table at the same time (not one at a time) and in a restaurant of this calibre I really hate being expected to use the same cutlery for my starter and main. Recommended.

Delightful and authentic Italian restaurant and wine cellar.

We had high hopes on entering Il Forno however when we arrived to the restaurant at 7pm there was only one other table occupied. The starters where good but we have had better in Italian restaurants. However, the main issue arose when the mains arrived. We had orederd a gnocchi and a ravioli but were instead served a gnocchi and a Tagliatelle, when we questioned this we where told this was right but only when we pushed further the Tagliatelle was returned to the chef. This then meant we where eating out mains a different times as we waited for he correct main dish to be served. For a western style restaurant charging western prices this was not good enough. We totally understand mistakes happens but to pay €90 for our meal to only get one simple "sorry" was a massive let down.

Lovely Italian restaurant in Phnom Penh! Lots to choose from- they also have in house wood fire oven. Extensive wine list and wonderful service! Wish I'd taken a photo though but we were very hungry today- the service was prompt without being obtrusive Would come back here again for sure👍👍👍👍

Best Italian fine dining restaurant in Phnom Penh with an impressive choice of wine. Among the few Italian fine dining restaurants this is however the one with the most honest prices. I often dine here and the quality is consistent. The menu has several options for every budget and there is also pizza. Best selection of Italian wines.

Had my birthday supper at Il Forno and was not disappointed. Best Carbonara I've ever had.

  • 5/5 J O. 1 year ago on Google
Went here for birthday dinner and got a free bottle of prosecco, which was lovely. Ordered cheese platter, carbonara and lasagna, which was gigantic! We shared it but still wasn't able to finish the whole dish! Recommended for special occasions! Will definitely come back :)

Absolutely lovely western style Italian restaurant for those living in Phnom Penh and craving a good three course meal. The owner and waitress were both absolutely lovely and they even offered me a complementary limoncello at the end of my meal. Highly recommended.

I give three stars for the environment and for the user-centered politeness but... We followed the review to choose this restaurant. My 4 formagi pizza was so salty and greasy. My wife took pasta carbonara and so oil too, the pasta drowned. She loves pasta in general so much and she doesn't finish, what a pity. So the service is average and if you are very hungry. If you come here to have very good Italian quality, you will be wrong.

This place is one of the oldest brands in Cambodia. The one in Siem Reap is very popular. Last week I went there and ordered a risotto because not many restaurants in Phnom Penh have this dish and I have to say the risotto with seafood is superb. The rice is soaked in white wine sauce, which is perfect match for seafood. The rice is not overcooked because you don’t want too soft rice in a risotto. I was also told by the manager that they can offer more kinds of risotto outside of the menu based on client’s preferences and the materials available, which is interesting. I plan to try the classic mushroom risotto next time.

Took wife for dinner. Friendly owner, nice ambience and food was not bad, however, the mango smoothie I ordered was under the fresh juice section. It tasted like syrup and not fresh at all. I would suggest the restaurant to dice some mango for topping (since it is advertised as fresh fruit, right?) instead of rainbow sugar topping.

Had heard great things about Il Forno and glad we gave it a shot. Had a couple amazing pizzas (recommend the tuna) and really enjoyed the experience overall.

The Italya restaurant in Wat Lanka area. The decorating is very beautiful. Combine of Cambodia and Europe style. Food is normal. Italian taste. Staff is professional, but there is very few staff so it a bit difficult to call them. Price is a bit high. Its suitable for the place but i think they need improve quality of food and hygiene more.

Great food, service, and atmosphere! I had a glass of Pinot Grigio , large margarita pizza, and a garden salad for less than 20 bucks! Highly recommended!

My favourite Italian food in Phnom Penh. Incredible. Even made the risotto vegetarian for me. So yummy!

I like the place very much. Food is good along with the red wine. Atmosphere is quite decent as well.
