Went for lunch one hot afternoon and found seats pretty fast. This was followed by prompt great service by the staff. The ambience like all other Chowman outlets is oriental and chique. The food was awesome and fingerlicking. We tried mostly chicken dishes and loved each one of them. Had a great experience.

Great ambiance, delicious food, and also maintaining decent hygiene. Staff behaviour is also great. Cost is reasonable respect to quantity. Single plate is more than enough for 2 people. A decent family restaurant. Recommended for all.

First time visit in Sodepur Chowman. Was in festive mood. The ambience is lovely. Prompt service. The management system is good. The 'stir fried chicken with basil' was especially tasty. Whenever you visit ,try that. Hong Kong style bhetki fish and Hong Kong style drums of heaven caught our taste in a different way! The brownie also tasted awesome. 'Chowman' is one of the best authentic Chinese fine dining restaurants in Kolkata. They have many outlets spread all across the city. It has become a big brand itself. We visited the Sodepur branch, which is a few metres before Sodepur Traffic More, if you're heading towards Barrackpore. It is situated at the B.T.Road. The overall ambience is great, nice instrumentals are played in the background. A perfect place for a family gathering. All the food items are really tasty. Be it chicken or fish they serve very fresh food with an authentic taste, which has become rare nowadays. Another thing, they keep updating their menu with fresh new items. Crispy Chilli Fish & Stir Fried Chicken with Basil are recommended items from the starters. Chowman's Signature Prawn Balls is a signature dish and also a good option for starters. In the main course they serve different variety of rice, noddles and meifoon. If you want a pungent & spicy option among rice, then only choose Chowman's Special Rice; otherwise choose a different item. Fish in Chilli Mustard Sauce and Chilli Fish Dry both are very good options from the mains. In chicken, Chowman's Special Chicken and Hunan Chicken both are equally good. There are pork, lamb and prawn options as well in the menu. One thing needs to be mentioned is the amount of food, the noodles or rice served is sufficient for 2 people!

This branch of chowman is located in B.T. road Sodepur. The interiors are well decorated. The service is okayish. They made us wait a long time and then informed that a particular dish isn't available for the day which was a bit disappointing. The food was wholesome and the quantity was great. The pork was tender and cooked till perfection. The squid and Singapore noodles tasted amazing. The dessert was simple and good. Nothing fancy about the desserts. Overall a hearty meal with fav people is all we need to wrap up the dinner scenes. Recommended ✅

Ordered from zomato and they delivered perfectly. The Korean Chicken Wings were delicious. Seafood ramen was full of prawns, squids, seaweeds and veggies. The broth was almost black. It wasn't that bad.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurant in kolkata the one thing came in my mind when i think of this restaurant is authenticity from the restaurants decorations to music to food everything gives the authentic Chinese vibes. I just love it when ever i visit kolkata i went there.

The ambience is soo good quiet . We took chowman's special noodles , drums of heaven . Tastes amazing. Both the quality and quantity was amazing. The chowman's special noodles contains lots of prawns, mushrooms, chicken and was wrapped in egg. The service was really good and felt a nice place to hang out .Though the price is on the high side but still recommended .

We have to wait for 30min bcz of saraswati pujo. After entering first impression was like wowww. Very peaceful ambience with soft music. Food was very tasty and quantity was pretty decent. It can be shared between two people. Amount seems to be a little expensive. Approx 800 for two.

I have always been a fan of Chinese food. And Chowman has been one of the leaders in the casual dining scene. Earlier I had a really good experience at Chowman Sinthi, so was very hopeful about their Sodepur outlet. I chose my anniversary evening and considering the fact there were not so many dining option in Barrackpore, Chowman Sodepur was a wise choice. At the entrance, I was told that they have replaced their cutlery with disposable ones and hence would charge INR 25 per guest. I found that absolutely fine considering the pandemic situation. The ambience was quite expected but the way hygiene was taken care was something really commendable. Everyone was following the safety norms which made me very comfortable able the food. I ordered Roasted chilli pork, Crispy honey fried wonton and Honey glazed pan fried chicken with lemon as starters. The service was quick and the food was delicious. The crispy wantons were a little too sweet as per my taste but I was already warned by my server for the day. In the main course, we ordered Mixed Chilli Garlic Noodles, Chowman's special rice and Kung Pao chicken. The food was extremely delicious and the portions were enormous. Really loved the fact that the disposable cutlery was not cheap plastic and did it's job of cutting or holding the meat very well. All in all, it was a satisfactory trip to one of my favorite chain in Kolkata

Nice and cosy ambience.. Hygiene maintenance is superb! They are providing disposable cups and dishes to the guests and charging very nominal for this(Only 25 rs per guest). Taste was good but should be improved! Dishes seemed bit overpriced to me .Quantity was sufficient.parking area should be improved

Usually,I don't like Chinese Cuisine.But After Visited This Place,I have a crush on Chinese cuisine.According to me,This the Best Chinese restaurant in the town.Ambience is so so good,I just fell in love with this place.I heard about Drums of Heaven(Hong Kong Style) of this place.Honestly Speaking,It's amazing as a starter and also with Wok Tossed Chicken Hakka Noodles.

Taste of Food is superb. Hospitality is also very good. All the staffs are very much polite. Each and every items we ordered is so much tasteful. Everyone should try this. We have tried Drums of heaven, Vetki fish pan fried hong kong style, Chicken Bao, Chowman's special noodles, King pao chicken. All the items are very good. Very good hygene is mainted. For me 5 star for Chowman Sodepur.

Located near Panihati, Dhankol bus stand near the pepperfry showroom. 1. Ambience of the restaurant is quite peaceful ☮️ slow Japanese music playing on the background makes it even better. 2. Food menu is quite big. There's so much to choose from. Prawn, crab, mushroom, fish, chiken, pork, squid etc. 3. Price is reasonable and quantity & quality of the food is great. Drinks and beverage item should be more. Overall a great dine in experience & l'd love to visit again.

Visited thousand times to enjoy delicious Chinese dishes. They have 8 to 9 tables for around 30 seats. Ambience is quite similar like other Chowman branches ( one lord Buddha wall sculpture with some Chinese words in wall and some soothing classiical Chinese music). It's very neat and clean with tidy bathroom also and staffs are well behaved, they ask u for every actions like what type of water u would take house water or mineral water ,u r ready order or not, u need help with menu or not, whether they serve dishes in ur plate or u help yourself. They have a parking lot front of restaurant. Lastly about food among drinks they have 6 to 7 options. If u r fan of squid plz try Mountain Chilli Squid (super hot) Sweet and Spicy squid as starter. In chicken option u can choose Lat mai kai Or Chicken with Basil. Among Noodles I love just normal Hakka Noodles. In main course option u can choose whatever bcz all are so good and quantity is enough for two people. Lastly in desert option u can choose Truti Fruity or Brownie with Vallina ice-cream.

My kids love to go this place because of the taste of the food... No doubt, taste is too good... In desert, must try Toffee walnut ... It's awesome... ❤️.... Barbeque chicken is too good as starter... I recommend Wok tossed noodles as the main course with chowman special white chicken in this summer.... Because it is too light to digest.... Love it❤️

Chowman on Sundays is definitely a busy place so we had to wait outside for few minutes and then entered.The ambience was good. Food was delicious. Chilli shrimps is a must try. But the waiters were in a hurry as the restaurant was crowdy then.

24/10/21 Visited at around 1.30 pm and was quite crowded I'd say as the place isn't very spacious. I'd like to talk about the hygiene first which at the moment is of prime significance. •They provided qr codes for ordering the menu and each table had a small bottle of sanitizer which is a great plus point and I appreciate it. •The food is no doubt good like the other outlets of Chowman. •10/10 would recommend visiting here once for an appetizing experience. •Staff behaviour : 9/10 •Food: 7/10

Very bad preparation during durga pujas..ordered mxd rice n chilli chckn frm chowman app..prwans are divided into 2..no eggs found..1 piece shredded chicken in entire rice..please dont order during pujas..they are trying to make double profit compromising the quality..else it os very good..but dont order in pujas..money is hard earned..paid 500 plus fr a plate f rice n chckn and this is what they r delivering

The food was good but the smell inside the resturant was so bad that I have to tell them about room spray.They had it.And when I told they used room spray and then we can sit over there.I don't know that fishy smell was of what but I couldn't bear that for a minute.staffs' behaved well.

Loved the ambience so much. The food is too good and the staff is so very helpful n caring. Loved the soup n the starters specially. One should try their lung Fung soup n the squid definitely! One of the best Chinese restaurant according to me.

A very decent place for a family dinner. A friendly smile greets you at the door and you are guided for being seated. Every guest is checked for temperature and hands are sanitized. The disposable plates are great, however the sight of plastic spoons are a turn off. Maybe edible or wooden spoons can be a bit eco friendly. The portion size for every dish is decent and even the taste is indeed great. Hoping to visit the place again.

We had a wonderful experience at Chowman.Ambience was really good and the staff were so polite and well-behaved.The duck festival was the main attraction.We ordered Mongolian duck roast which was really delicious and lip smacking.. And worth every penny. 6 pieces were served in the platter. The dish that I didn't like was chowman special noodles with seafood.Those who don't want to try continental DON'T go for seafood..Otherwise all were really good served for two.

Excellent ambience and service. Went for lunch with friends. Since we knew nothing about Chinese cuisine, we asked the waitress for recommendations. They were all fabulous. Especially their signature summer mango dessert. Would recommend 10/10. For four people z our total bill was around 2500, it was value for money.

I keep on visiting this place because of their food. Their menu covers authentic Chinese and Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is also quite nice. Last day I had Chinese chop suey and it was good.

Awesome experience. I had visited authentic Chinese food point first time with family. Starters and main course wonderful. My kid 5yrs and wife enjoy most. One portion is more than enough for two adult. I ware visited for lunch and it was weekdays so quit less crowded. Decoration was good. I must recommend to visit and I was interested to next visit.

I have already been to other outlets of Chowman in Kolkata and I had no doubt that they will live upto the bar already set. Interiors are well done, staff is well mannered, washrooms are clean, serving time is not too long and finally, the food is tasty. Location is an added advantage. Set on the BT ROAD, Sodepur. Parking also should not be much of a trouble. Though we took a cab to and fro. Cannot say much about any particular facilities available for specially abled guests.

Had dinner at this place. We ordered chicken corn soup , golden fried prone , mocktails, mixed fried rice, fish , sweet & sour chicken & devils pork. Pork & the rice were not up to the mark. Other items were delicious. Nice ambience. Overall satisfactory.

The ambience is cosy. The interior of the restaurant alongwith the music creates a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is courteous & delivers a prompt service. As far as the food is concerned the taste is good. We had ordered barbeque chicken as starter. The taste was a bit sweet but the chicken pieces were succulent & juicy. For the main course we had Rice with Asian Greens, Schezwan Veg Fried Rice, Wok Tossed Veg Hakka Noodles, Teriyaki Chicken & Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce. Rice with Asian Greens was light in taste & flavourful. Schezwan Veg Fried Rice was quite spicy but it had good taste. The Hakka Noodles was awesome. It had sufficient quantity of vegetables. The burnt flavour made it all the more delicious. Teriyaki chicken was sweet in taste. Chicken in hot garlic sauce was quite bland and was below average in taste.

Wah! What a food! Chowman never disappoints. This time we ordered dry chilli pork from the starter section, chowman special rice, mixed fried rice and hot and sour fish (which is available in both bhetki and basa varient). Each food tasted simply amazing without any question. Special mention to the chowman special rice, which had a burst of flavours. The quality and the quantity is undoubtedly top notch. This outlet of chowman is located on B.T. Road, Panihati (opposite Arsalan).

A good restaurant to enjoy with family and friends. I visited first time to have dinner with my family on my daughter's birthday. Variety of dishes. Professional staff. Good taste reasonable price but I thing they can look into quantity which I felt little less when compared to price we paid.

I always wanted to eat octopus But I can't..resturant also unavailable some times..but now my dream come true..in seafoos festivals i eat two typ dishes of octopus...and i really really satisfied..But overall it's best chinese restaurant I saw ever... The foods are quite expensive, quantity is manageable, but I did not feel the authenticity of Chinese cuisine in their dishes. The interior is meditating and relaxing. The food could have been better in taste, quantity and authenticity.

Quite a long food menu.. decent ambience..price is little bit on the higher side..but the taste..the quantity and the main attraction the quality of the food is really great..the taste is awesome..must visit..all items taste very authentic and upto the mark..it's like exceeds expectations in terms of the taste..even the desert tasted so much good inspite of not being a Chinese item (they are specialised in Chinese items) In a nutshell you won't regret and might visit more often than you think. PS-they have food delivery app too which works within some 5-10 km radius.
