The upgrade works are expected to be completed in June 2024. The Amahoro Stadium is the largest stadium in Rwanda. It hosts football matches, athletics, concerts, and public events. The football clubs Armée Patriotique Rwandaise F.C. and Rayon Sports F.C. are the tenants. The venue is also sometimes used for rugby union. The stadium's renovation will cost $132 million (RWF 160 billion/ UGX 495 billion). Works started in March, 2023. SUMMA, the Turkish concern, is known for high quality and timely execution. The stadium is being upgraded to the best level and it took efforts that even the Kigali Metropolitan police headquarters that was around had been demolished to give more place. We are waiting it's reopening in 2024

Was there today for the peace marathon by MTN. Quite some fun. Many gyms in the place and sometimes the track is open to the public so you can go jog or whatever training you may like. Also attended a couple of memorable concerts here.

Amahoro national stadium has capacity to host other national ceremonies where 30, 000 people sit comfortably. Its football pitch has natural grasses, the pitch is surrounded by water paths where there is no remaining water other pitch after rain. It's building has different offices like office of ministry of sports and culture and other associations' offices.

Very well built sports infrastructure, offering different fields and courts for various sport disciplines. Football, handball, athletism among others. A good places to run and keep fit in Kigali!

The stadium is great especially the entertainment just outside the field, there are very fine bars and restau which offer a great variety of drinks and foods.
