Jej autorem jest Bolesław Michałek, artysta z Istebnej. Pomnik ma 2,20 cm wysokości i waży 4,5 tony. Wykonany został z piaskowca o nazwie "mucharz", pochodzącego z kamieniołomów pod Wadowicami. Dzik ma nazwę "Kiełek", wymyśloną przez dzieci z Jaworzynki, które oglądały go jeszcze w pracowni artysty.
