Came to have lunch at this restaurant around 2:30 pm on a Monday, it was completely empty. I read the reviews before I went and some customers had complained about the service, but for me they were attentive, and took a reasonable amount of time to deliver the food and drinks. They had a nice selection of goods, and the food we ordered was delicious. It’s good place to have lunch.

Not sure I understand the connection but I will be back when I return to Kigali at the end of January. Bananas flambe dessert was tasty but not served on fire. 😭 It's a short walk from the Marriott. They have attentive staff and a pleasant dining area. Only one other table was occupied on a Saturday evening, yet we'd eat here again. 🇷🇼

Why do I have to pay USD 6 to 7 for bread in the name of pizza. No toppings whatsoever. Before you judge me, I didn't order for a Margherita. It was a Diable pizza and again it has just about two tiny sausage worth of toppings on top. Well if it is the Italian way of Pizza, as the courteous service person explained... I am willing to accept Italian style pizza but not for that kind of pricing. Boo hoo! The frog legs were good and so was the coconut milk chicken curry that I has with a side of chips.

We had one really great meal here. The next was mediocre. The last we were very ill afterwards and are sure we had food poisoning. We ordered cooked food but perhaps it was cross contamination? Super unfortunate as we love the ambiance. We visited on October 15. We had frog legs, avo salad, stuffed eggplant, the Congolese goat, and tilapia.

Nice pizza & Italian food

The food is good. I like the African influenced items in the menu. The pizzas have always been great. The ambiance is also great. However the service kills it all. To make it more clear the staff become hostile as it approaches 9 PM even during weekends most restaurants in Kigali have solved this issue but some how Cactus still holds on to this old Kigali style of get out of our place by 9 attitude. I would have been a more frequent visitor if their service improved.
