I had a great experience at Hotel 2000. The staff's exceptional service, especially Shalom who was so kind and provided invaluable assistance, stood out as the highlight. The entire staff, including Emi and Jossy, was incredibly friendly and made my stay truly enjoyable. Moreover, the room was very nice and impeccably clean.

The hotel is located right in the middle of a busy street, malls , shops, cabs, etc. But once you enter , it becomes a peaceful haven. A tourist would appreciate lodging here more because it will help you feel the heart beat of Kigali. The rooms have a fantastic view of the city and they have a nice Asian fusion restaurant, their meals were very nice and very good value for money.

No A/C in a lot of their rooms, not sure if it's a countrywide regulation, and you're not told until you check in and you're in the room. They put in a 'chiller' which is basically a mini A/C that is not a chiller or A/C but a fan To order meals in your room, it takes about 30 minutes to bring the menu to you then if you're lucky another 45 minutes to get the food to you. You're better off going to pick anything you need than calling the reception or restaurant, in some instances 1 hour and you're still waiting for something as basic as a glass of ice. Oh, most of the fridges in the rooms don't work as well. Highlight is some members of staff, like Adeline, Shalom and some of the restaurant staff, who go over and beyond to make your stay manageable.

It was extremely dirty with stains all over the carpet ,couch ,chairs and walls.The room smelt mouldy with peeling wallpaper and the windows and curtains were filthy.It was extremely noisy and the bath towels were as hard as rocks. We complained and moved us to a room that was worse. False advertising it said it was very clean. We paid for the night and moved out no apology from management. Very disappointing our first visit to Rwanda. As an African heritage I felt ashamed & embarrassed. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone I know.

It's not such a genius idea to fuse markets and hotel together, but I guess the owners were trying to maximise space and customer base. The place can be a chaos and it's wearing out their infrastructures. It's not the best place for anyone who doesn't like nice and wants a serene environment.

I was on this hotel for 7 days oct 21-27. This is three star hotel with great food, people and centrally located. Kigali convention center is almost 12 mins drive a way. It does not have open garden but rooms are good and clean. Staff in reception, restaurant, customer service are great. They pick up from airport and drop too. Security is nicely maintained. They have good room service. Direct booking with local contact can make your room charge 30% less costly.

Location was perfect. Rooms are super spacious: haven’t seen such a large bedroom in a hotel before. The staff were very polite, friendly and welcoming: answering all our questions about moving around Kigali and most especially helping us get a cab at the right price (after we got overcharged on our very first cab ride in Kigali). The hotel provided transportation from the airport and back, which was very convenient, the drivers were very patient and friendly. My only negative comment: there is no double glazing, which made it difficult to sleep with noise from traffic.

Customer service was at its best at 2000 Hotel Downtown Kigali. From the time we were picked up by the free shuttle to arriving at the hotel, to each time we left and came back everyone was helpful. They even gave us umbrellas as we wanted to go for a walk in case it rained. Speak to the reception and door staff for real prices and great places for bargains and they don’t disappoint. Everything is walking distance from here and it was very safe. The food at this place is Asian fusion but definitely worth the price compared to other places. Boda boda motorcycles are the best way to get around. Negotiation skills are a must as they quote tourist prices when they see you coming. We paid 800 Rwandan shillings from the hotel to the Genocide museum, that should be an indicator for distance and price.

We had a good stay, the rooms were spacious and the buffet was excellent. The Front Desk Agent Kelly was very helpful and the Doorman Donath had a pleasant personality and knew how to greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner to make them feel welcome. 2000 hotel is in the center of the city and very accessible. They have a nice ambience and a nice environment. I was here here for two nights. Booked my stay on priceline. Everything went smooth. The concierge were warm and welcoming. Almost excited to have me. The reservation came with shuttle pickup from the airport, breakfast and my room had a view of the mountains. Room service is quick and the rooms are spacious and clean. I loved everything about the hotel except security. The security personnel are rude. Both on the side of the hotel and the supermarket. Rude enough to make you skip this hotel and go somewhere else. But that's just me. Maybe it's because I was speaking Kinyarwanda. Overall, it's a hidden gem in the middle of the city. Check it out.

Hotel looks old and does not look like the photos on the website. No aircon in rooms. Carpets are worn out. It is difficult to get to the restaurant when it rains. Certainly not a four star hotel. The room facing the street were very noisy and windows do not close properly so I had to pay extra for a mountain facing room.
