Great experience!! Very courteous and friendly service from Shanaka and all the guides we associated here. We went here for Dolphin watching. I couldn’t capture proper photographs of all the Dolphins we saw. We spotted 200+ spinner Dolphins. You get some very attractive tour options here which we are hoping to try very soon! Highly recommended for those seeking to watch Dolphins in the sea!! Can’t comment about rest of the tours / activities available, but I’m very sure they too would also provide a high quality experience and you wouldn’t be disappointed!!

If you're planning to vist Kalpitiya peninsula anytime soon you can make your journey more memorable with Ocean Lanka. They offer various services. Dolphin/whale watching, Scuba diving, kite surfing, boat tours, snorkeling... Dolphin watching was a great experience. They come close to the boat and jump out of the water. Usually the trip is +10km. The boat ride is quite bumpy and hard but also fun. Call them and make a reservation. It's easier that way. You'll need a ticket from the Wildlife department but they're gonna take care of it. The two gentlemen(Harsha and Shehan) who steered the boat were very friendly and informative. On a lucky day you can see whales, whale sharks. Highly recommend this place. Hang tight and enjoy the wonders of the ocean.

With heavy rain previous day we had are doubts if it would be safe and if we were able to see any dolphins. Thanks to these highly professional chaps who are headed by Shanaka, me and my family was in safe hands. They are well coordinated, highly skilled and in no time we were able to see plenty of dolphins and turtles in high sea. I would highly recommend Ocean Lanka Kalpitiya for dolphin, whales watching and scuba diving. Thank you Shanaka, we throughly enjoyed this memorable activity!

We went on for Dolphin watching for the very first time with these guys and it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend this place, if you look into Dolphin watching at Kalpitiya. We go into 9-10 km away from coast to see these beautiful creatures swimming in large groups.

We made a reservation for Whale Watching and Kayaking at Ocean Lanka . From the very first telephone conversation to the end of our session, Mr.Shanaka was very responsive and responsible. Their boats and the life jackets were of good quality. Ocean Lanka team made sure we had a memorable experience during whale watching and kayaking. We were lucky enough to spot a whale during our session.

Called him late on the day, late as 8pm for following day morning Dolphin watch. Yet Chanaka was a very helpful arranged a boat and also arranged a pickup & drop to my hotel at Valampuri at a very reasonable rate. Took time yet were able to see some Dolphins after travelling some distance. Still worth the trip.

We booked the combo of dolphin watching and diving and loved every minute of it. The owner communicates very well via email/whatsapp and is very friendly and professional. We saw 100’s of dolphins, and during diving many interesting creatures like octopus, snappers, giant morays and many others.

One of the best experiences ever! We, a team of 12 contacted Chanaka from Colombo and got a good deal for 2 boats. We reached Kalpitiya on 24th Nov’18. He guided us over the phone to his location and quickly got us ready for the ride. It was around 8.30, a gloomy day and no one (including other boats) had spotted a dolphin as at yet for the day. We travelled approx 5 to 6 Kms towards deep sea. We were afraid this was it. But he assured us he won’t turn back until we spot dolphins. Eventually we saw ones of the greatest sights ever. It was said there were around 2000 to 3000 dolphins in this pack that day. November is one of the best Seasons to watch Dolphins in Kalpitiya. He also went out of the way to arrange lunch for us 12, at a nearby restaurant for a good price. Chanaka and his team provides and excellent, professional service & was true to his word. I wish Chanaka and his Team the best of luck!
