  A 5 star experience. We had dinner here last night. The staff are very friendly and always speak with a smile. Our waitron was Poppie, most lovely lady. The ambience and decor is superb. The food was heart warming and it was a all round great evening. Thank you to the hard working staff.

  Had supper at The Hussar Grill while stopping over in Kimberley on our way back home to Cape Town. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant - great food, great atmosphere and super attentive staff! Poppie was an excellent server and talked us through the different steaks they offered which was super useful. I ordered the gnocchi with mushroom sauce, butternut and feta. Portion was well-sized and very tasty! Our party also ordered the steak special, a beef burger, blue cheese sirloin steak, and kingklip. My only complaint would be that the potatoes (chips that came with the burger and garlic potatoes that came with the steak special) could be improved. The chips were hard and the garlic potatoes were not very garlicky. They were supposed to be baked potatoes but they tasted like they had been microwaved. But after we finished our mains, Poppie brought vodka chocolate martinis for the entire table. Those were excellent and made up for the potato sides.

  Excellent service. I loved the relaxed ambience of the restaurant and I loved the books. Wish I had one with me to exchange for another but I look forward to going back again. From stepping into the restaurant, my family and I came and left with smiles The menu could be updated a bit to accommodate kids. Otherwise 👍🏼👍🏼

  We celebrated our Anniversary there and It was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Craig, Prudence and Grace see all soon. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to creating more memories there♥️

  Felt as if I'd gone back in time when quality service, food and an ambiance that we seldom find. Soft music that relaxed, waitresses that were intelligent, attentive but not intrusive and a maitre 'd that rounded off the experience that quietly added true class... Worth every Rand spent.

  Really enjoyed our date night on a Tuesday night. Food was on point. The owners are present which one can see is a resemblance in the food quality. Only criticism would be that some waitresses need to turn down their volume a bit to make it pleasurable for couples to hear one another.

  The staff are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The ambience and layout is good. The food was delicious and prepared very well. The best dine out experience I have had in quite a while. The top notch service and quality is proven by the fact the place was full with diners. We celebrated an 80th birthday of a family member and they made sure to congratulate him and spoil him with something extra on the house. I highly recommend a visit. It wasn't cheap, but absolutely worth every cent. We came away completely satisfied from the experience. Well done to the owner/s and staff.

  Had the BEST, BEST service from Elsie at the Hussar Grill in Kimberley. Wow, she really went out of her way to make sure our early lunch was absolutely perfect! The rest of the staff were fantastic too. 10 stars!

  WOW! One of the best meals we have eaten in a very long time. Everything we are was exceptional - travelling with one vegetarian in our group, and often we struggle to find a good vegetarian meal in a steak house, but the gnocchi was excellent. Tender and juicy steaks, great sauces, and amazing sides.

  I came in to have dinner with my family. We were ushered in by Grace and warmly welcomed by the watrons. The snacks were great, the biltong took us by surprise, haha. The food was exceptional and worth every cent! Compliments to chef Noelle once again, we could taste the love from her food. Excellent customer service all round - keep it up guys! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. An absolute 5-star experience.
