We were, unfortunately, transferred here after our long time endocrinologist retired in March. First, it was almost impossible to speak with anyone as nobody ever answered the phone. I tried for literal hours. Finally I got ahold of a nurse, who was extremely rude and transferred me to the front desk, where I had been calling, and where still nobody picked up. When I finally got someone, they also were rude and ridiculously unhelpful. I managed to secure appointments, 2 months out, and was told they could not give my husband an emergency refill of a daily medication until he was seen, 2 mo from then and to contact his former physician, the one who was now retired. I thought the Inova system would improve once they were no longer Nova Med group, but they may be worse. I've never gone through such a hassle to just speak to someone. The endocrinologists may be great, I'll never know as I've found an amazing practice. Now if we could just get our records transferred to our new doctor. Her requests have been unanswered by them and I've not been able to get a hold of anyone to request it myself. Not sure what's going on with this place, but do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I, like many others, called repeatedly yet no answer. When someone finally answered, I was trying to explain my request for imaging orders. The hospital had incorrect orders and I did too. They sent the orders were sent to the hospital but were not in My Chart. Only the incorrect orders were in my chart. I went through a case of insanity with an extremely rude and unprofessional person. I repeatedly told her the orders she was looking at in My Chart were wrong. She continued to get smart with me. I asked her to please take her tone down. She said she was not yelling but I was and she didn’t have to take it. I can’t yell. I can barely talk due to thyroid issues. I tried to reason with her to no avail. She said I don’t have to talk to you and hung up on me. I wrote every person on staff whose email I could find and told them what happened. I don’t expect much but I am planning to change clinics. I have enough to worry about than a rude receptionist.

I wish I could give zero star. First of all it took me 2 days to get a hold of someone, no one answers the phone. After picking up, I talked to a very rude receptionist (not sure the name, maybe Elisa), she hang up on me and did not pick up the phone after multiple tries. She did not even bother to check if they have received my medical record from my pcp. Very very rude and unprofessional staff, will never go back and will write a review everywhere about my experience. Maybe the doctors should consider hiring more personable staff. horrible, horrible

The three times I’ve called for an endocrine appt I always get someone friendly right away, and haven’t had much difficulty in scheduling for when I wanted to compared to other endocrine offices. Dr. Baru was thorough and nice and the nurse brought me back within 5 minutes of my appointment time. It’s a bit odd that the endocrine and primary care share an office but the separate billing and check in booths help.

The receptionist was rude and deliberately tried to make setting my appointment as difficult as possible. I have not even seen the doctor yet. But dealing with the lady that sets the appointments was enough to make me red hot angry. If you try to book an apoinment be warned, you may goaded into losing your temper.

I love the PRN who cares for me, but in the last month I have called three times to make (what I consider) an important follow up appt and the answering machine is ALWAYS diverted to call back “within 24 hrs” and I’m still waiting for a call. Other than physically driving there to make an appt in person, their staff is not responsive and I’m not sure what is happening there.

The receptionist was very rude and callous when I called to set an appointment just now. "You NEED a referral and we are booked 'til October." The woman literally hung up as I was speaking. How do you treat people like that?

Receptionist was very helpful. I think her name was Danielle. She answered all the questions I had. She also scheduled my appointment and blood work promptly. When I came in for my appointment she was very helpful and quite friendly. Great first impression.
