Used to be our favorite. Always bummed when we would stay in the area in the past and they were full. This time we were appalled at how dirty and in need of repair this place is. Furniture in our room was stained, carpet in room was gross. All throughout the lobby/common areas need a deep clean. Carpets frayed and worn and stained. Walls need repairs and paint. Just overall a rundown dirty version of the place I used to seek out.

A very disappointing experience. Our room was very unclean and we even found a used bandaid on the bathroom floor. 2 lights didn’t work, and the room smelled terrible like mildew. When we were checking out, I noticed there was a pending charge in my bank account for another night’s stay. I brought this to their attention, and they assured me it was a mistake and would be taken off. I told them if it came out of my account then I would have an overdraft fee at my bank. And wouldn’t you know, it was taken out of my account the next day. I tried to contact the manager for 2 days, leaving messages. I finally got in touch and told her the dilemma and she got very nasty with me, but told me it would be taken care of. I decided to call their corporate office and they told me I had to wait 2 more days and then needed to send them my bank account statements proving I was charged and they would give me another room free of charge. So, long story shortened, it took a week for the charge to come back to my account and I never received the free points to get the room. I was in a car accident and stayed a night there to relax in the hot tub room, but instead it costed me more money and more stress. Unacceptable!

Country Inn and Suites, I can clearly say was one of my BEST experiences from beginning to end. From the friendly professional staff, to the clean rooms, to the great water pressure and temperature and having the incidentals when and where you need them. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. Best crispy waffles. It was a stress free stay. I'll definitly come back when passing through again. ❤️

Stay here if you want your feet to look back after walking around in your room. Or stay here if you want to swim in a pool that will give you a rash or make you violently ill. Absolutely disgusting all around. Don’t waste your money here. The pictures are deceiving. Only reason we didn’t walk out is because it was already paid for after driving 15 hours and surprisingly had no bugs and bed linen was okay enough to sleep on for one night. I will never stay here again. I don’t know how they feel this is acceptable. Anyone that leaves a review saying it was clean, I would be scared to see what their home looks like if they consider that filthy place clean. Run from this place. I don’t know how that pool is considered an “amenity” when it’ll leave you sick and the smell will turn your stomach. How do they expect you to use that? Anyways run away.

The room was very dirty. Looked as though the floors hadn't ever been swept. Ruined my white socks just walking across the floor a few times. Old soap was left in the bath tub. Someone's half eaten food was left in the refrigerator. Pool and hot tub sketchy. Kids were very disappointed bc we didn't let them swim. Wouldn't recommend

We had to clean the floor, shower was cool, not cold because it was manageable, 3 towels for 5 people, 1 washcloth, no blankets for the pull-out bed we had to go get it, 1 remote for 2 TVs and they did not have the other.

It all started with the phone call. Called to check availability, said they would need a credit card to hold the room. They didn't just hold the room they booked me and then said that I couldn't cancel, that it was past the cancelation time. We arrived to check in and it was a different price than what was quoted over the phone. When we went into the room, the room door was propped open and there was no TV in the room. Called the front desk to get another room. This room had a TV but no remote to work the TV. The carpet was filty, shower was moldy, and there was no cold water in the shower. It was either very hot or off. The bed was tilted toward the head, had to get pillows to prop head up, so our heads were higher than our feet. I would not recommend this hotel at all. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Worst experience we have had and we travel quite often.

We did not have a good stay, the only working ice machine was on 3 rd floor with bed frames propped up against it it. I let that go by. Went to hang towel on rack by jacuzzi and rack fell off, reported to front desk they apologized went and got dinner and brought it back to have dinner and movie, TV was broke, 2 employees brought another TV and had to have my husband the guest help hook it up and then we tried to enjoy our cold dinner when checking out I spoke with front desk and said I was not asking for refund as most guest would but wanted him to be aware of the inconvenience we experienced while staying after a couple days the hotel charged us $150 for smoking which we did NOT as they have me on camera smoking out front late at night and early in the early morning hours, I am so astonished that they would wrongly charge because they need the money for their repairs

I will echo much of what has already been said. The rooms are dated, poorly maintained, and generally dirty. Rusting bathroom equipment, dirt, and debris on the floors. Don't bother with breakfast it's terrible, and the serving dishes are old, shabby, and gross from lack of professional cleaning. What made us stay as opposed to just going over to Fairfield... the staff, extremely friendly and they know the place is ruff and they try but.... The other saving grace was the bed was clean, comfortable. The rest..... I wanted to be angry at the GM, but the more I looked, listened to what wasn't being said. This is an owners failure. A staff that cares is hard to come by, how dare the owner not hand them the tools and resources to be able to have pride in the work. This place is a tired, sad little ghost of a once nice American highway hotel. The bed was clean and well made up by someone who knows pride in their work....that tells me the rest of this place is under supported. To the staff, well done, we see you trying hard. To the owner.....sell...you are either really well meaning but underskilled or you are a feckless idiot who wants the product without the hard effort. Sell, and let someone who has the needed skill, ability and attitude save this place and reflect the goodness the staff has.

It is one of the better hotels in the immediate area. Friendly check-in. The room was comfortable. They appear to be renovating. Lots of activity. Pet friendly, but @ $30. There is a very good Italian restaurant 50 feet away. They need a pet station here, especially in consideration of the pet fee.

We have stayed at all sorts of hotels in our lives. So I speak with experience. Absolutely disgustingly dirty. Our room was falling apart and so were the other 2 rooms we were staying in. The hair on the floor was not mine that’s why I included a picture of my hair color. And I have no idea how you get that much dirt and grime on the top of an outlet switch! Breakfast was a nasty mess. Extremely disappointed. I will be writing the corporation. I would advise not to stay here.

This was probably the dirtiest Country Inn and Suites we have stayed in. The bathroom was filthy!! There were long curly hairs in the bathtub and the same hairs were all over the floor. Three bathroom floors were not swept or cleaned. The beds were nice but it makes you wonder how clean the sheets were when the bathroom was so nasty. On the other hand, the breakfast bar was very good!! Food, coffee, snacks were well stocked and fresh. It was noisier than we thought it would be. Since it is not close to I-95, we thought it would be quieter, but the road in front of the Suites were pretty noisy.

I'm amazed that they didn't have my reservation even though everything was confirmed and my money was taken. The front desk clerk was at a loss for what to do, but it was primarily the fault of management. Rather than getting me another room, they advised I phone booking. Excellent client service!

Absolutely disgusting. Mold EVERYWHERE including on the comforter. Had to switch rooms because the ac didn’t work properly in the first one and the ac stopped working at around 4:30 am in the second room. Both ice machines were broken and the towels were overused and dirty. Do not stay here

Absolutely atrocious. Carpet on the stairway and hallway was gross and looked like it had not been vacuumed in months. Continental breakfast should not even be offered as there was nothing to choose from. They let all kinds of ruckus go on during the night that was not addressed. Look at another hotel option.

They have some very questionable people wander in and hand their staff some cash in exchange for a room key. Their maintenance guy looks like he climbed out of a swamp and just watched me and my girls walk down the hallway anytime we were there. The pool needs some major cleaning and updating. The rooms are ok but they also need some better upkeep. Front desk staff would all wander off to go smoke or congregate elsewhere with some people and they would come to the front desk. When I checked in it took 30 minutes to get someone to come assist.

Looks deceptively nice on the outside. Carpets in halls were gross, dog food scattered in the hall near the lobby, musty smell. After we switched rooms because first one smelled like cigarettes, the second was marginally better, at least not stinky. The bed linens were nice and clean, can’t say as much for the bathroom that had moldy caulk in the shower. There was a very full dehumidifier in the room that we had to empty. Just no.

Just NO! Spend the extra $20 and go some place clean. This hotel is filthy! The floors in the rooms will literally turn your feet black! There was a used razor and empty shampoo bottle behind the bathroom door a long with LOTS of debri. The beds are hard and there are no curtains- 1 white and very thin blind only. Pool and especially hot tub was disgusting. The hot tub smelled awful and the water was dirty. Bathroom gross. The morning we left, there was maintenance being done on the pool. We stayed after driving 15 hrs bc it was paid for already and the bed linens were at least clean.

We stayed at this location numerous times at a weekly rate each week. Then a new manager came in and charged us full price for 7 weeks without telling us and at check out they charged us $10,000.00! We spoke to the manager 4 separate times about this matter and they did not and would not give us the weekly rate. This is $1200.00 a week! So not worth it AT ALL! If you stay at this location do not give em your credit card, pay cash! They will quote you a rate and switch it at check out!!

The picture we seen on price time the place look nice and clean. The quality of the place but this is like it was not clean enough for me. They had dogs barking kids playing in the hallway. We went out came back they locked the door we had to go back downstairs to get our key programmed. Christmas Day nobody cleaned the rooms so that mean no clean towels no bed made and a place is not clean enough. I will never recommend somebody to come here thank you

We stayed here for one night while traveling to FL. Staff was friendly, room was clean and fresh. Indoor pool was warm. A very good choice with a variety of food options close by. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

All of the staff was very nice from front desk to the breakfast attendant. The bed was comfortable. Once you left the lobby, the place was a bit disappointing. There was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor, we didn’t feel comfortable walking without shoes anywhere. We also had a dehumidifier in our room that HAD to be used because the room felt damp. We had to empty it twice during the night. It was a bit inconvenient. A lot of the property seemed to be in disrepair from disconnected venting tubes at the back an uninviting pool area to hallway carpets that need to be cleaned. Country Inn and Suites can do better for the St Mary’s/ Kingsland Ga area. Thank you for your time.

I am literally writing the review as I stand!!! Because I do not want to sit anywhere. I brought my own linens (thank god) and the only reason I am here is because we’ve been in the car 12 hours and my 2 yr old and 5 month old are asleep. There is a roach in the living room area and a earwig in the shower. I am disappointed and disgusted. Front desk guy was so nice. But this hotel is disgusting. It is 1 am and literally every other hotel is booked.

Bathroom floor had a LOT of hair on it and mildew. Also, dead bugs. The light upon entering the room had a short and didn't work. Based on the condition of the room, we decided to skip the complimentary breakfast. Honestly, we should have asked for a new room but it was about 2:15 am and we were exhausted. Definitely will NOT stay at this hotel again. I took pictures.

The GM Donna and her entire staff were amazing during our stay. We evacuated from Florida due to Hurricane Ian and chose this hotel mostly based on availability and distance. They welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family for the duration of our stay. Everyone from Donna down was kind, sympathetic, and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comforted during this difficult time. By the end of the stay I looked forward to running into Donna and her staff just for the opportunity to have a chat with them and forget about what we were running away from. They did everything possible to accommodate us and were so kind to myself and my family. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was great. We plan to return to this property under better circumstances if for no other reason than to see our new friends again.
