On our way back from Florida and stopped by for an early dinner. We didn't chose anywhere specific, just something that we can't find in New York. Comparing to a few famous BBQ places that I been to, this place is not bad. The brisket (both thick cut and chopped) were the best I have tasted so far. Fried okra was not bad either. Stay away from chicken, a bit dry and didn't finish.

Wonderful Sunday lunch. Tried the new Bowl. Filling to say the least. Wings were huge and plump. Pulled pork was as usual, satisfying. Our waitress Stephanie made sure we were happy.

Absolutely delicious BBQ! Outstanding friendly service. My family and I really enjoyed eating here. The saint Louis ribs and the chicken fell off the bone. We had a great experience and highly recommend.

I went to this Kingsland Ga Sonny's. In the past Fernandina Beach had a Sonny's. But now it's a rental store. So I took State Road 200 to Highway 17 North to I95 North to 40 in Kingsland GA to Sonny's. And got this 1/4 lunch dark meat only with fries and beans. And a slice of garlic bread. The Beans were good but I would have liked them a little more loose than just a pile of beans. The chicken at 1:42pm was getting dry. I like the chicken to be moist. The Fries were very good. The Garlic bread was OK. I have had better at other Sonny's. I timed myself as soon as I sat down to when I ordered my food And my Water came first then my food made my table in just under 6 minutes. Not bad. The waitress was nice and I enjoyed my lunch. One way from Fernandina Beach Fl to Kingsland GA Sonny's is 25.5 miles. Then I headed back to Jacksonville Florida my Home. This is how much I like Sonny's over most other Bar B Q places. I will eat at others but Sonny's is my place to get good Bar B Q.

Our latest visit to our favorite Sonnys location was a huge disappointment. Look at my sliced turkey dinner! REALLY? My wife had a turkey sandwich with the same dry turkey bits ! I asked our waitress what happened to my sliced turkey and her only reply was "does it taste good?" I should have refused our meal and went elsewhere! Buyer beware!

First the food. We ordered the loaded tots with brisket. It was really good. That alone sharing with two people is a lot of food. My kid ordered the steak burger. He liked it. I ordered the sampler with corn on the cob and Mac and cheese. The meat was good. But the chicken was really dry. The Mac and cheese was alright. Everything else was really good. The service was great. It was done with a smile and frequent check-ins. Not a bad place to take the family out for a well priced meal.

Used to live in the area and this used to be a great place. Only 3 tables of customers yet 3 unbussed with employees standing around. Beer was awful. Tasted like the taps hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Donuts served without the "glaze" by the time we got the glaze they were cold. Very disappointed. Won't ever be back.

Tammy was our waitress and she did such a good job. Our food was hot and fresh. She was fast and gave us everything we needed for the meal. Sonny’s is definitely my new favorite place to eat. ❤️❤️❤️

All 15 of us enjoyed our meal. I loved the beans, ribs and chicken. Our waitress could have been friendlier. I mentioned to her that it was my daughters birthday and she just ignored me. No little birthday desert came out for her. We even had birthday balloons! She seemed rather grumpy and never smiled

Tammy was our server and she was absolutely amazing! She was super kind and very attentive to our table. Our food was delicious and delivered to us very quickly. The restaurant was very clean and very enjoyable to eat at.

Tammy was outstanding, she made our day. Very friendly an outgoing. Food was very good and plenty to fill you up. When heading back to Jacksonville will be stopping again for this great food and service.

The barbecue sauce, beans, coleslaw, and dry rub all leaned heavily towards the sweet side. While it's not our usual preference, we could appreciate the unique twist. One highlight was the chicken. It was incredibly juicy and flavorful, even extending to the chicken wings. Unfortunately, the brisket was a bit too fatty for our liking, which was a letdown. On the brighter side, the ribs and pulled pork were both delightful and made up for it. One peculiar thing we noticed was the absence of regular sausage, only offering jalapeno cheddar sausage. When we inquired about it, we received a somewhat puzzled reaction. Perhaps it's a Texas thing to expect a variety of sausage options. In summary, our experience at Sonny's BBQ was a mix of sweet flavors and hits and misses. If you have a sweet tooth and enjoy unique barbecue experiences, this place might be worth a visit. However, if you're a die-hard fan of traditional Texas barbecue, you might find some elements here a bit too different for your taste. Overall, we'd rate our experience at 3.5 stars. It's not our top barbecue spot, but it's worth trying for the adventurous palate.

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. I was expecting my own savory and tantalizing experience like they have in the movie Ratatouille - but that didn’t happen. The sweet tea is not what I would expect from a sweet southern state like Georgia. Sweet tea is always ready for an afternoon visitor or an easy cool-down on a hot summer day. The stuff they had here tasted sad. Regardless, we left with full bellies and overall it was a fine experience.

This is how you serve your orca? It was shoved into some bag for my to go order. This is terrible and it was $6.00. Way to go with the terrible presentation even worse the way it looks. My kids meal had pieces of chicken tenders someone obviously ripped up and shoved into a box. Thanks for making this experience forgettable Sonny’s.

Val was our server tonight and everything was fantastic. She recommended some really delicious dishes and gave incredible service. We're definitely marking this on Google maps for future road trips. The BBQ was so good!!!

my server was alexa and she was absolutely amazing. she was very bubbly and attentive. she never let our drinks go empty. our food came out fast and was amazing. the pulled pork was a new fave!!! definitely will be coming back.

Clean place with delicious food. Properly cooked corn nuggets & fries without an after taste are a very rare thing to find these days but this Sonny's location stepped up. The only negative is that the beans are a bit watery & I miss having mild in a bottle instead of the little packages but aside of that it's all extremely good. Even the wait staff is professional and not overly into checking up.

I have always enjoyed a good bbq from Sonny's. However, this visit was a little disappointing due to my pulled pork being barely warm. The Mac and cheese was edible and a small amount on the plate. The server did try to correct the problem. The second serving of pulled pork was again not hot. I ate it anyway. *I will still visit Sonny's because times are tough and we're losing good businesses and workers. I sincerely hope things get better.

Dined in for the first time today and Tammy was exceptional ! The moment I walked in she made me feel so welcome. The food was delicious as usual but the service I received made it even better !! Definitely will be dining in more often as I normally get take out.

Stopped at Sonny’s in Kingsland on our vacation. Starving parents and kids. We were met by an incredible staff and yummy food! The restaurant was super clean. The brisket, both chopped and sliced were something to write home about! My son said the ribs were some of the best he’s had & had to have another order to go before we left. The lasting impression was the Manager. She was visible, kind, genuine & hustling. There wasn’t a task in that restaurant that she wasn’t willing to do herself - and you could tell that staff respected their leader. I finally asked her name - Michelle - and she spoke to me as if we had been friends forever. I observed this several times throughout the visit. She’s an absolute asset to this organization and combined with the delicious lunch we enjoyed - is the reason for the 5 stars!

Stopped in for a late lunch and was greeted as I walked in. No wait and was seated quickly. Ashlie was our server and done a great job. She was extremely friendly and always smiling. It was my first time at Sonny’s and she recommended the Sampler. It didn’t disappoint either. I Highly recommend eating here and ask for Ashlie to be your server.

What a wonderful dinner! We ordered to go. We were our normal playful selves while waiting on our dinner.😜 He had the st Louis ribs, I had the three meat plate and added a side of potato salad. They were very understaffed, but from the service we got you couldn't tell it. I am a chef, and for me to say I enjoyed every aspect of the meal says a lot. Will definitely be back. Hang in there y'all, you are doing a fabulous job.

We've gone to Sonny's a few times lately as it's always so good!! Had the slab of baby back ribs with corn bread, beans and tator tots!! Mmmm... so good!! Couldn't get a better picture cause we had eaten it too quickly!!

I had the smoked wings and ribs, sweet tea, and banana pudding for dessert. The meat is tender and slow cooked to perfection. Not dry at all and delicious! I had the sweet potato for a side and it was yummy with the cinnamon butter...decadent really. Didn't really NEED a dessert but I figured if everything else was this tasty the dessert would be as well...Spot on-I enjoyed the banana pudding as much if not more than the meal. Great tasting fare; I was very happy with that and the service. 8/10 (alcohol would make this place better imho).
