Firstly
the
good
news,
the
receptionists
were
pleasant
and
helpful
and
the
reception/bar/restaurant
area
was
very
nice
with
pools
of
Goldfish,
candles
and
a
very
Zen
feel
to
it.
Other
than
that,
forget
it.
It
looks
do
nice
in
the
photos
on
the
website
but
they
were
obviously
very
well
staged
and
set
up.
Rooms
were
very
old
fashioned
and
in
urgent
need
of
a
refurb
and
a
good
clean.
The
bed
on
our
first
night
was
broken
and
we
spent
most
of
the
night
awake
trying
to
crawl
out
of
the
massive
sag
in
the
middle.
To
be
fair,
upon
complaining
the
next
morning
the
receptionist
changed
our
room
and
the
new
bed
was
better
but
still
sagged
in
the
middle.
Breakfast
time
was
difficult,
there
were
plenty
of
staff
but
they
spent
more
time
racing
around
like
blue
arsed
flies
going
nowhere
or
running
their
hands
through
their
hair
and
no
time
at
all
topping
up
the
empty
food
and
drink
counters.
Obviously
the
hotel
also
thinks
it
has
five
stars
with
its
food
and
drink
prices,
out
of
my
range
for
sure.
Almost
€6
for
water
and
€10
for
a
0,25
glass
of
wine?
They
have
to
be
joking
right?
It
was
€6
cheaper
just
down
the
road.
And
over
€20
for
a
set
meal
of
a
poxy
green
salad
to
start,
a
slice
of
pork
and
a
dozen
chips
for
main,
followed
by
a
jar
of
mousse
straight
from
the
€1
counter
an
the
supermarket.
Yes
the
hotel
is
conveniently
situated
for
the
town
and
railway
station
but
a
herd
of
stampeding
elephants
couldn't
drag
me
back.
