Had no stay, but already the first contact was horrible. It was like they really have no interest in guests. Beside this, the person at the phone was very motivated to explain what they don't have and offer :-)

Room was too dirty and small. And bath booth is too small. It was not convenience to shower. Everything was not convenience. But, staffs were kind. Only one reason to give 2 star due to staff. I do not want to come to this hotel.

Probably more a business hotel rather than a tourist hotel. No frills. Quite basic. Comparing prices in the market you can find much better elsewhere. Rooms are tiny. The whole ambience is very dated. Our 'double bed' moved away from the wall whilst we rested against the headboard. WiFi is not encrypted and not very strong. The wash basin was blocked and drained very very slowly. It even gurgled through the night. The lights in the bathroom flickered like a strobe light, making shaving dangerous and putting in contact lenses almost impossible. Shower cubicle was tiny. Breakfast wasn't great either, selection was poor, push button coffee. Bread rolls were not fresh, just warmed up. It's at least a 30 minute walk into the city centre. Rooms were not cleaned, just new towels. First and last visit..

Decent hotel with helpful and kind staff. Hotel is near to the forrest, but Villingen downtown is a bit far, so I recommend coming with a car. Note that reception works only from around 7AM to the around 7PM. Rest of the time key lockbox is in use.

Rooms were clean. Breakfast was ok but began rather late.
