The atmosphere and service were lovely. The king crab pasta had great flavour, but the pasta was a teeny tiny bit overcooked.

Expensive, but pretty good. Service is great and very sympathetic. Meat is some of the best I've had (whale and reindeer). Cabbage was surprisingly awesome, but vegetables didn't seem to be always fresh. Very nice place to be in, and food was also great overall.

Hyvää ruokaa ja hyvä palvelu. Kuninasrapupasta oli 5/5, lohikeitto 5/5 ja fish&chips 4/5 koska panerointi ei ollut tarpeeksi rapea.

Kiva miljöö ja palvelu. Saavuttiin ruuhkaiseen aikaan ja siinä hässäkässä taisi meidän tilaus unohtua, joten jouduttiin odottamaan ruokaa aika pitkään. Fish ja Chips oli maukas eli kannatti odottaa. Päivä oli lämmin joten varmaan siksi sisällä oli aika kuuma.

Came from Canada, spent 11 days in Kirkenes and Vardo and we ate here twice. Excellent food and service. Reindeer was outstanding. Worth travelling 6K to have a meal.

We were recommended to dine at this restaurant not far from our hotel. Indeed it's probably the best eatery in town. You are very well received by the owner and his young Ukranian trainee. There is a good choice of dishes cooked with local products but little in the way of vegetarian food. I had marinated fried cod tongue followed by a perfectly executed fish and chips, my daughter chose arctic char served with risotto and pop-corn, an interesting twist. Overall, good value for money for Norway with its outrageous restaurant price levels.

Cozy ambience and friendly crew. If you are adventurous, do try their whale steak.

Really enjoyed the food at my last visit there. Smiling and polite staff☺️👍Got the whalestake, and banoffee(?) for dessert. Loved the stake, but the dessert was some of the best I have ever tasted 👌👌Also, the coffee was 10/10! Open till 22.

Very cute place, very friendly staff, very fast when we said we were on a schedule. the reindeer was very tender, the king crab pasta was amazing and the burger and calamari rings were great. Would definitely recommend a visit when you are in Kirkenes!

Great combinations of local quality ingrediens, such as king crab, cod and reindeer, and international cuisine. Recommended.

Lovely little restaurant in Kirknes. Out of all the options we saw, this was open earliest (11am) and had really great food. Prices were under average for Norway which was a nice surprise

great ambience and good service. the menu is very detailed about allergens but neglected to mention that the vegetable wok is considerably spicy, which feels like a bit of an oversight. taking off a star for that and for having whale meat on the menu. don't hunt whales, kids. the fish and chips seems to be a local favorite; the fish was cooked to perfection, soft and fluffy with a light crisp coating. very generous portions too. worth a visit if you're in the area.

Arrived at 9.40 and was looking for takeaway, after talking to the waitress we were told it was no problem to order and she told us what they didnt have today. Changed our minds and decided to sit in instead but were told by someone I assume is the manager, that they had closed the kitchen early today and they wouldnt be seating us or serving us. Could easily have made 1000,- plus off us tonight but instead they said they were closing early. Would like to give a zero rating but its not possible. Thank you Surf and Turf I wont be eating with you ever. 100% rude

Chanced upon this place while searching for a lunch place. Ordered the light and dark Nordkapp largers, fish & chips, king crab spring rolls with noodles and nachos. Fish & Chips and nacho were great, but the spring roll and noodles were too salty. Cozy environment though.

The reindeer starter was AMAZING 👌🏼 Seriously some of the best cuts of meat I have had. Children has child size portions of adult meals, which they liked. Main course was good as well. Staff attentive. Overall, a recommended place to eat when in Kirkenes. Only downside was that it was fairly pricey for what it was - although Kirkenes does seem to be oddly more expensive than the rest of Norway..
