    In the middle of Kirkenes. Certainly of great military importance, otherwise quite simple. No German description.

    I appreciate remember history. But to honour the red army with russian flower bouquets in todays world makes me shiver and is not appropriate from my point of view

    Kirkenes has a very interesting wartime history. It’s importance could increase in the future if the Barents Sea, as a result of climate change and melting sea ice, makes a new shipping route to the east viable.

    Well, it's not that impressive, but it's very centrally located and you can take the detour when you're in Kirkenes.
