Breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel. The sauna was great as was the pool, the room was clean and shower was hot. There is free washer/dryer downstairs and they let us store our bikes in the back.

Could not eat in the restaurant in the evening because it was booked up with a coach party!

Service at check in and from staff was great. Was surprising that dinner was advertised but the hotel then booked the entire restaurant for a group that was not staying at the hotel. Advised to go to another place which was closed.

This is a basic hotel that is perfect for people who are going on the Hurtigruten or Havila the next day. While the port isn't too close, it's definitely walking distance for most people. The breakfast was surprisingly quite good for a basic and value hotel. That was probably the best bit ! The check in staff member was polite. Either take the airport bus or book a taxi with Kirkenes Taxis to get here.

The hotel is in the central area. Breakfast was delicious, I like the ginger shots. Scandic is a great choice in Escandinávia

Service and breakfast was great! Room is also well maintained. Close to the port! Plus easy to access from airport with shuttle bus.

This is an uninspiring hotel in a rather uninspiring city. We spent a night here between the Varanger peninsula and Rovaniemi. The staff is very pleasant. We had booked a superior room with the only advantage being that we were on the uppermost floor. You had to shower in the bath tub with damaged enamel and no anti-slip pattern, dangerous for elderly guests. The breakfast was OK but the breakfast room was too small for all the guests that flooded the place. On a positive note, there was ample parking belonging to the hotel and in the nearby streets.

We had a nice weekend stay at Scandic Kirkenes. We enjoyed the varied breakfast, the pool and sauna, the bath in the room and the lounge area. We would like to give a special thanks to Natalia at the reception and Jan at the restaurant, for being helpful and resourceful! They did all they could and helped us with our problem starting the car! Thank you!

Couldn't ask for a better place. Comfy and clean. Staff friendly and extremely helpful. I needed to see a doctor because I'd done something to my knee in the process of trying to make the flight to Kirkenes, and the young woman at the front desk helped me with getting an appointment at Kirkenes Legesenter. Thank you!

A overnight stay between flying to Norway, then board a boat trip to see the Northern Lights.

The service you get by reception is fantastic. Nice and humble people, they have some really tasty food and a great breakfast in the morning. I would recommend this hotel to everyone 👌😊

Why keep the restaurant closed? Most inconvenient during cold evenings.

Affordable price. Beds were not the best. Enjoyed the sauna, the pool was closed so did not get a chance to try that. The breakfast times on their website was wrong, learnt that the hard way. The overall quality of the food was ok. The walls appeared to be a bit thin as we could hear our neighbors really enjoying their stay. If you have an iPhone and plan on watching shows form your phone on the tv you have to pack a Chromecast as the tv’s built in cast function doesn’t support iPhones

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. A b it pricey imo given that it feels a bit aged at places. Definitely could use a bit of dredging up here and there. Then again, Norway is expensive.

Lovely hotel. Rooms warm, clean with everything required. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Buffet style with lots of choice. Fresh yogurt and granola's, cereals. Selection of breads and crossiants. Selection of cold meats, cheeses and smoked salmon. Selection of hot foods, eggs, potatoes, sausages. Delicious giving a great start to the day. Scandic is in the center of town with activities around. Great location to the Port if you are going on a Cruise of the Fjords.

This a good budget hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. You can make tea and coffee in your room and a hair dryer and iron are provided. The shuttle bus from the airport drops you at the door. Don't be put off that the bus says Hurtigruten on the front - it is a normal bus.

Fantastic family stay! A wonderful man from the hotel came over talked to kids about history of Kirkenes and the king crabs. If your family has an opportunity to meet him it will be a highlight! Breakfast was great and bus to airport stops outside. Looking forward to returning!

Very comfortable rooms, family rooms available. The pool & sauna facilities are excellent. Evening meals showcase regional specialties (including fresh King Crab) and the breakfast buffet is excellent. The location is central and served by the airport / ship shuttle bus service. Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Probably the best value for money hotel I've ever stayed at.

Good, clean hotel with nice rooms. Central location and staff very helpful. Breakfast was good but only criticism is the restaurant/breakfast area is quite small for the capacity of the hotel particularly when guests check out at the same time which means breakfast is really busy.

I stayed here as they allow pets (eventhough I didn't have mine with me I like to support business which allow animals). Amazing breakfast. You can tell it used to be a nice hotel but needs refurbishment. Pool not open. Was clean & staff friendly. Issue with the booking, where bedding configuration not as requested. Finally staff put the beds together & the fastening screws fell apart without even sitting on the bed! Doors slam & walls paper thin.

A cozy hotel placed centrally in the town. Staff were very kind and polite as well as quick. Fair pricing and food was good both with dinner and breakfast the next morning. The room was big enough and bathroom even had a bathtub. Beds were fine as well. TV was a bit small but alright.
