Very difficult to get an actual appointment to the point that they are 3 weeks in the future or having to call up every day to get an emergency appointment then shamed by the staff when you book in for having an emergency slot, and forced to carry a card explaining why emergency appointments are taking up resources. Can’t win. The care when you do get to see someone is usually completely fine, it’s just the rubbish appointment system and lack of out of hours service. No good when you work during the day

I recently visited Elmwood Family doctors and had a very positive experience. The nurse (I believe her name was Julie) was extremely kind and helpful, as I was quite overwhelmed with the appointment. I left the surgery astounded at how wonderful she was and just couldn’t thank her enough for being so understanding and caring. We had no wait time and everything was explained fully.

Moved to this surgery after various issues with previous. What must be 7-8 years since then, Elmwood has been nothing short of perfect. I always hear stories from friends about their surgeries who struggle to get appointments, phone lines busy. Elmwood have such a great functioning set up, I have never not had a phone call answered, never ever not been able to get an appointment. Their website too is one of the best I have ever used, seconds to order a repeat prescription, honestly can not knock this place at all.

I can’t express how much of a positive experience this morning was. Rang at 8, answered within 4 minutes or so even though I started 8th in the queue. Appointment at 9:10 this morning. Charlotte and Dr Morton were great at explaining stuff even though I probably looked like I didn’t want to be there. Pharmacy, home, bed.

Absolutely had enough of having to battle with rude reception staff. About time we had a more accomadating customer service team.

This morning I accidentally attended the wrong surgery for my appointment. The receptionist was so helpful and called ahead to let the other surgery I was on my way. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so very friendly. Thank you!

My partner had an appointment with Dr Morton last night , fantastic experience, he took the time and patience needed to restore his confidence in the NHS . What a brilliant service from both Gp and reception staff.

I had an appointment with Dr. Morton yesterday & I have never felt so listened to, heard, seen, empathised & understood by a GP. He was so patient & didn’t try rush me along, he came up with solutions & I left feeling like someone finally had time for me. After a couple of frustrating appointments elsewhere, my appointment with him came just at the right time.
