Tight entrance and exit for the car park but plenty of spaces for parking. Centre has a selection of shops, coffee shops and snack shops. House of Fraser was nice with helpful friendly staff. Costa coffee shop had ar least 6 staff and were very disorganised and no customer service from the staff but the chairs were great. TK Maxx had a good range of products.

Lots of parking available and quick access to shops. However... bays are tight and require a lot of patience to get into as you can see from the photo. Clean tidy and well lit but the spaces and pillars make it frustrating. In terms of pricing less than 6hrs is well priced then after that the price will double to £12.50 which is hefty but i imagine in line with other car parks.

Good shopping centre with carparking in Huddersfield. It's got plenty of place to eat and a House of Fraser store. Parking on Sunday is £1.50 for the whole day.

The Kingsgate Shopping Centre must be the cleanest of its kind I've ever seen. A lovely front entrance leads into what is an immaculate arcade of shops which are all the 'big hitters' of the high street. I don't know how long it's been open but it's 'whiteness & pureness' is hard to ignore. Well done to the staff for keeping it looking stunning... It has been noticed but maybe not by everyone 👍

It's ok , apart from parking charges. The town would be vibrant,if there was free parking ! Do the council not listen to the public ??

My wife always insists she's going the right way from the car park and EVERY SINGLE TIME takes me on a grand tour of the perimeter. Horrible place to go with my wife. She's going on her own next time. I'm going to the pub.

Absolutely Fantastic. Established for nearly 20 years. This will occur in 2024. Great shops, Great products. Has enhanced the Royal Town of Victoria, West Yorkshire.

The Kingsgate shopping center is Huddersfield's answer to the indoor shopping mall. Many of the branded retailers have left and the current range of shops include clothes, books, jewellery and watches, mobile phones, shoes and a small collection of other goods. The mall is clean, bright and inviting with a few cafes offering hot/cold drinks and fast foods. The attached car park has plenty of space though the spaces are a little tight and the price is time dependant. Parking prices are greater than the local municipal car parks.

You wouldn't travel any distance to visit here put it that way. Very limited shops, some have been broken up into a food court and one for stalls/small shops, which I think is a great idea but needs to be promoted more and some money investing into the right parts of it. Plans to extend are all well and good buy if you can't fill the existing shops then its going to be a huge waste.

Closing times not great, parking fee not worth the available stores (it'd be 4 stars if parking was very cheat or almost free). That said, if you're after TK Max, Sports world, JD Sports, the usually affordable greeting card shop (not Clinton but can't remember its name), River Island, Next then you should be fine here and it should be somewhat worth it for you. There are other random stores outside the indoor shopping and many places to grab takeout or eat.

Full of useful things in stores and restaurants plus other things to loot at all under one roof, pity toilets are right at the back of the complex.

Remember coming here as a kid and it was always full and a wide range of stuff. Shame how shopping behaviour changing and the pandemic has affected it

A mediocre range of shops, mostly chains such as next, TK Maxx and River Island. Plenty of parking which is handy.

Pretty quite in comparison to what it used to be most shops still open. I visited Waterstones and got a book while catching up with a mate. Food is available and retail shops.

Shopping could be better but Huddersfield not as good as it once was

The glory days of Huddersfield shopping are gone. Accelerated in part by the ineptitude of of Kirklees Council and their belligerent attitude towards what the really wants. Public consultation and public dictation are 2 things Kirklees Council need to grasp.

Nice clean mall, however just a few stores. There should be more choice. If there was a children's play area the mall would get busy and worth visiting because the shops dont have much to offer.

Very clean and a good range of shops. Plenty of places to eat and the staff in stores that I had reason to talk to were friendly and cheerful.

All I can say is in the disabled toilets, there is a red cord for emergencies. Stop tieing it up! It needs to reach the floor. If someone falls over and is face down, they have a chance or reaching the cord, if you tie it up, they won't.

Called into kingsgate shopping centre today and used the little news agent that is in there next to sports direct..all I wanted was some lotto tickets and when I asked for these the young guy behind the counter said I could only purchase these if I made a purchase of some items aswell otherwise I couldn't get the lotto tickets..absolutely ridiculous..Will not be using again

Some decent shops. Some rubbish tatty shops. Some empty units. Has a free water fountain to fill up bottles. Always very warm inside.

  • 3/5 Elina 10 months ago on Google
very bright and warm inside on sunny weather, smells of kids vaping 😑 but shops are good, always nice service

Lift out of order. If you are a disabled person entering the facility from the car park then you have to navigate the stairs or go out, enter through the main entrance and exit in reverse. Parents with prams must have been furious and probably gone somewhere else. Not a good experience this time.

Its ok stores keeo closing and opening. Glad to see a J. Store opened in Kingsgate. The centre is clean but facilities are very very poor there are even enough toilets available. Used to be much better before.

Easy to park, clean and tidy shopping centre. Toilets, food and drinks all easily accessible

  • 3/5 talldarkrandom 2 years ago on Google
I feel like it's too small. The variety of shops are OK but I don't think they are good enough to warrant a visit. I hope they extended it maybe then bigger companies will come in.

It’s a great little shopping Center although it do with a few more shops. Easy parking and easily accessible.

A decent middle of town shopping mall. Good selection of stores with some higher end stores for Huddersfield. House of Fraser is great with good sales usually on and the TK Maxx is decent. You can get a good feed here with range of options and coffee shops and the local toilets are next to the multi storey car park.

Lots of shops inside. Many reliable highstreet names, plus a few stalls. Wish they had a food hall, I think it would do really well. Huddersfield is dying and I think the kingsgate is doing its best to keep it alive

Loved to stroll around Kingsgate Shopping Centre on my most recent visit to Huddersfield. Plenty of stores to explore and prices are reasonable good in comparison with prices in London. Worth a visit if you’re looking to get something while in town.

This place has alot of other businesses in it. Very contemporary. Eat out, stores, supermarkets, big shops, etc available in this facility..love it

Looks nice from the outside, has decent amount of stores. Parking is at the rear and is large enough. However the town centre is anti car which means the King's Gate is losing customers. People rather drive to retail parks.

Clean light and airy good amount of shops pity the main one at the bottom has closed though

  • 5/5 Nunayon H. 1 year ago on Google
Took me a while to locate this one but ....if you need trainers and jackets at affordable prices there are a number of stores there with good deals.

  • 3/5 David J. 1 year ago on Google
Limted size, good for parking but you get through the centre very quickly. Nothing special.

  • 3/5 Haroon M. 1 year ago on Google
A great place for a lot of classic shops such as game and Waterstones could do with more Verity and food places

  • 3/5 Simon C. 1 year ago on Google
Car park spaces seem small, worried when the kids were getting out not to hit the car next to us. There is hardly any shops open as many of them have moved on or closed down. It was fine for what we needed.

Suppose it's ok, don't expect Trafford Centre once you get in, go round the corner and it's over!

  • 4/5 Scott M. 1 year ago on Google
This is Huddersfield's premier shopping centre and most high end shops are in here. There are others areas in Huddersfield though to shop too and you need to look around.

  • 2/5 Andrew H. 1 year ago on Google
Yuk. Yuk. Yuk. A real pity to say it but this place has been going steadily down hill for a while now. To be fair, so has the rest of Huddersfield but this centre used to be so much better.

Good place to shop but with house of grazer closing down and I think they are making a cinema complex there don’t know how this might effect your shopping experience

  • 4/5 pure c. 1 year ago on Google
The newest shopping mall in Huddersfield. All on one level (the shopping), carpark is a few floors below with lifts and wheelchair access. The shopping experience is OK, can get busy, particularly on a weekend. Lots of shops, and a few stalls. Also some coffee shops at the end where house of Fraser is/was.

  • 4/5 Andy H. 1 year ago on Google
Reasonable shopping centre with most shops occupied and a few places to get coffee and cake. Could do with a few more seat down the middle for those of us that just need a little sit down. Good parking attached to the centre.

  • 4/5 Michael B. 1 year ago on Google
One or two empty shops, just like any shopping centre, but still a decent place to go. The recent loss of House of Frazer was quickly covered by the announcement of a cinema to take its place. Clean with good amenities.
