The park itself is still great. However Kirkless Council have made it almost impossible to get in and out with the roadworks, it took nearly 25 minutes as they have a diversion in place on a small road that let's about 4 cars out on the traffic signals! This was midweek. Next time I'd park elsewhere and walk across to it

The Range continues to be bang on trend in all departments. don't think any can beat them for craft stuff, Halloween scarem is currently being added whilst the garden tools etc are under the canopy outside, lovely selection of garden statuary - outside my price range though - .

The car park can be a nightmare to get out of when busy. Took me all of 10 minutes to reach the traffic lights at the exit. However the range of shops here is good and the overall car park is very well presented in terms of tidiness. There's nothing wrong with it per se, just gets quite busy at weekends and during holidays so be warned when visiting.

Hard work at the minute with the roadworks but has a few decent shops on there. Always a keen parking enforcement person on there so don't go over your parking time or you will get a ticket.

Decent parking available. Always handy when picking up loads of pet food from Pets at Home.

While the retail park itself was reasonably quiet due to the visit being midweek, the exit situation was absolutely horrendous due to the ongoing roadworks in the immediate area, it will be a long time before I visit again for definite.

There's only a few shops here but there's plenty of parking. It can take a while to get in and out of the car park with the roadworks just outside, but that seems to have improved.

Range... especially... surprised with the choice and prices....very well done...the painting was so beautiful, could not resist the temptation not to make a picture of it....come along...have a look

  • 3/5 James B. 1 year ago on Google
Fine with regards to the choice and size of shops. I would recommend going 1st thing in the morning otherwise you will get stuck in the major roadworks happening on the roundabout just outside

When road works are over near its entrance, I hope to go there more often. It has a big Big car park and quite a few stores. The entrance to car park can be improved in my opinion.. it gets too narrow when it turns in.. I recommend this place. These issues are minor.

Great stores grouped together. The car park has always been of a stupid design for entry/exit. The current road works intensify this issue especially at peak times. But they are stores I use and calling after work when passing isn't too bad. I wouldnt go on a weekend though.

Absolutely dreadful access and egress! Roadworks all along Leeds Road and the retail outlets within it. Council need to buck their ideas up! The shops available are good - Curry's, Boots, the Range, etc

  • 4/5 Janette T. 10 months ago on Google
Yes I like the range, things are well priced and you can get a variety of items

  • 4/5 Muriel H. 1 year ago on Google
Good selection of stores. Difficult to get into car park at tge moment due to road works and renewed access but will be fine when complete.

Nipped by today. Queued for over an over to get out of the car park, with lots of angry drivers, not cool when you have a tiny baby in the car! Last time I’ll be visiting

If anyone needs new windscreen wipers, you need to go into the Range. I needed some to replace the 18" ones I have on my MX5, which were the old metal sprung type. Got 2 of the new rubber blade type for £3.50 each and they work a treat 👍 What a steal. Dread to think what it would have cost me at Halfords etc 🤔

I made an illegal right turn off Lower Fitzwilliam Street into the carpark (missed the 'no right turn' sign). Does anyone know if there is camera coverage and whether I can expect a ticket or not. Crossed from Gasworks Street and turned immediate right instead of entering via the Leeds Road entrance.

I don't see what's so great about it, to be honest, but I guess it's harder to market The Adequate Northern Retail Park. Traffic's often very bad so it's hard to get in and out quickly, but the shops are basically fine for big out of town warehouse shops.

  • 3/5 Remy B. 4 months ago on Google
Nice popping into the stores to see what's on offer, Iceland is now down there too. Its nothing special though. It is what it is. A row of shops.

Who ever designed the traffic routes into and out of this retail park needs to try again. A second entrance has been added recently but this just makes congestion worst. Really needs 2 lane exit and rid of the ridiculous tight entrance turn.

Will never park here again so they will loose all my business. Got a £60 fine for parking with my tyre over the white line in the nearly empty car park, I’ve got a bad back so parked away from a post so I could open my car door wide. There were literally 100’s of spaces free, appealed but got threatened with court if I didn’t pay. In my opinion UKPC that this retail park use are thieves, used to shop there often, but I will never shop there again. Targeting honest working people again, if I had tried to shoplift and had no money I would be told off, but because I work I have to pay

Got fined for not parking in end bay within lines. This was because there was no disabled parking bays available and to enable a disabled person to exit car, so be aware not disabled friendly.

  • 3/5 Danny N. 7 months ago on Google
Great selection of store's. My biggest issue is the entrance and exit has a really stupidly placed traffic island to stop van's and travellers etc getting in. But this makes it incredibly tight for larger car's and it's a good few inches high with lot's of tyre rubber on it and chip's meaning many people must have damaged wheels and tyre's. I get a land yacht Volvo through but it's tight. Be warned.

Unbelievable and Disgusting.....Such a big place and No toilet!!!..I have to run here and there to beg each showroom that my 5yrs old has to wee and nobody came forward to allow the kid to use their toilet. They say we only have staff toilet.I understand that for staff safety they can't allow each and every other to suffer every day.use their toilet. But KUDOS to the Great and Genius architects of this centre who simply forget to build a public toilet. Think before you go there

Like everyone says, the place is good for the shopping, but getting out the car park is ridiculas, if you start queing from say currys everyone then pushers in down the other exits so those at the back get pushed furyher and further, maybe in busy times there ought to be marshals who control the traffic flow. Use stop and go signs or something to that effect, I wont go there again now till middle january, unless am on foot.

Traffic!!! Which tool decided it would be better to have 2 entrances & only 1 exit. Any fool can see that if they made the new entrance a right turn only exit with a yellow box junction, there wouldn't be the stress of even thinking about shopping at this centre!

Horrendous entrance/exit to this retail park. Spent over 1.5hrs getting out. Wouldn't recommend going on a weekend or during rush hour traffic midweek. Good range of shops but not worth it for the stress of the car park!

We come here quite often especially to the Range. Very easy for parking and plenty of choice for household goods and garden gear. Very helpful staff and good value for money.

Good range of shops mothercare shop remains empty

Purchased a fabulous Picture Frame from The Range and had a peruse in Tkmaxx. Good sized Stores, easy to Access and Free Parking is always A Plus!

  • 5/5 lauren 2 years ago on Google
Not a bad little retail park although in busy periods it is a nightmare to get out of.

  • 3/5 James T. 2 years ago on Google
The entrance could have a bit more room but it's okay, the exit is necessarily controlled by traffic lights as it exits to a main road so can be a bit of a race. The layout is typical with the shops round the circumference of the cast park. The shops themselves are an eclectic mix and should have they're own reviews but the area seemed clean enough and apparently free of litter. Parking is obviously based upon the clientele and not the shops but I've never let that stop me judging a place. Parking was poor, using multiple spaces for single cars and blatant abuse of the disabled spaces. Doubt I'll be back in a hurry.

Shops are decent but the car park is a nightmare to get out of at busy times. Took us 20 minutes the other weekend.

  • 2/5 kevin g. 2 years ago on Google
It's ok but geting out on Leeds rd is a pain in bum it takes longer than the shopping go elsewhere

  • 3/5 Diana R. 2 years ago on Google
Went to Currys, friendly staff, large store with all up to date technology and white goods.

Shops are great, parking fine, getting out on a weekend an absolute nightmare.

  • 2/5 Simon C. 1 year ago on Google
The shops on site are good, the retail park itself is a nightmare. There is an unwritten rule that you should never here on a weekend! The car park is a nightmare and you will always queue to get out. Currently with the road works outside its even worse. My advice to anyone would be park on the road at the back and walk round its so much easier.

  • 4/5 Mike M. 1 year ago on Google
Good range of shops, just a shame about the vehicle access off Leeds Road. Spent longer queueing to get out than in the shop.

  • 4/5 eroX 1 year ago on Google
Large parking area with few shops. No bike roads which is disappointing. However you can find places to lock your bike. Traffic jams since it's one lane going out. I know of 3 different entrances as a pedestrian to the parking area.

  • 1/5 John L. 1 year ago on Google
The shops are fine but the design of the car park is the worst I’ve ever known. Took almost an hour to get out today. Fair enough there’s road works just now but it’s always like this. Poorly designed. Waste of time. Could be easily fixed if there was someone monitoring.

  • 3/5 William H. 2 years ago on Google
It's good, if the shops are on your "to do" list. But getting into and out of the site by car has always been difficult at busy times and it is very bad at present because of road improvements and extra traffic lights. Hopefully the road works will improve access.

  • 4/5 Stevie C. 1 year ago on Google
Good variety of stores and more than ample parking. The only real problem is one entrance and exit meaning that at busy times, you will be waiting in a queue to get out particularly with the roadworks just outside the retail park so plan accordingly.

Pretty decent if your going for certain things. not really the place to go if your just out for a shopping trip, like old school times when you would walk around town and see what you could find. If its peak times better get your camping gear ready for when you try to leave.

  • 1/5 Amy H. 1 year ago on Google
Constant traffic jam to get out of the car park and once you enter you have no choice but to sit for hours in a traffic jam to leave. Absolutely ridiculous! Avoid coming here at all costs!

  • 1/5 Barry B. 1 year ago on Google
Traffic was terrible but the tarmac was great. Tried doing donuts. There were pedestrians screaming at me(wanting me to go faster, I'm sure) but I got bored.

  • 3/5 Dominic R. 1 year ago on Google
Its ok, I went on Saturday 24th September late in the after, however with the MAJOR ROAD WORKS DIRECTLY OUTSIDE getting in and especially getting out of the car park can take over 15 mins just nudging forward a few cars at a time. I won't visit again because of the road works, be warned Christmas will be a nightmare. Its a shame really as the shops have a lot to offer.

  • 3/5 Ken W. 1 year ago on Google
The Range store is big The car park is ok if you are prepared to queue for half an hour to get out. Didn't find any toilets in any of the stores. Asked a worker she said there were none.

  • 2/5 Kenworthy P. 1 year ago on Google
Shops are great but queuing for over an hour to get out of the car park? Hope the road works make a big difference soon!

  • 5/5 duckmad 1 year ago on Google
Good place and nice variety Parking sucks and trying to get in and out is a total headache. Let's see what happens once the road works are finished.
