Had
the
£30
Sunday
set
menu
with
a
couple
of
friends.
Calamari
was
very
nice,
steaks
(8oz
ribeye,
£2
extra)
were
OK,
but
asked
for
medium
rare
(medium
was
recommended)
and
only
the
middle
was
medium
rare
and
the
outer
bits
were
overcooked
and
dry.
Also
under-seasoned.
The
triple
cooked
chips
(£1
extra)
were
disappointing,
not
crispy
and
a
bit
pointless.
The
best
bit
was
the
lettuce
wedges!
Desert
was
tasty,
but
rather
ungenerous
in
size.
Our
waiter
Josh
was
friendly
with
good
banter,
knowledgeable
about
the
food
and
no
complaints
about
him,
but
overall,
despite
there
being
more
staff
than
customers,
the
service
didn't
flow
as
well
as
it
could.
Compared
with
other
places
in
the
area,
the
food
fell
rather
flat,
and
at
£30,
was
overpriced
for
the
quality.
On
other
days
the
set
menu
is
much
more
reasonable
with
3
courses
£15.50.
So,
I'd
avoid
Sundays
if
you
can..
Try
another
day.
