A great day out, plenty to explore loads of great scenery to view throughout the park. Would strongly advise that correct footwear is worn like wellies or walking shoes/boots. As in some areas, it can get rather muddy, I'm yet to fully explore this amazing park, but what I have explored so far has simply blown my mind with it amazing beauty. There are spots that have picnic tables, plenty of seating dotted around. It's worth a day out exploring this amazing park you won't be disappointed. Update: I have further explored this amazing park and personally feel that 70% is accessible for wheelchairs prams and mobility issues. But be advised that some areas have different levels that increase in height and drop in height although the surface is flat. I would also strongly advise you to keep a close eye on any kids that you may bring as there are vast drops located around the park. The other 30% consists of steps and muddy trails great for exploring and getting them steps in. There is a lot to see and explore within the park and you won't be disappointed.

What an absolutely beautiful park, so much to look at. I am a photographer and this is one of the best places I've been in a while to take photos. Parts of it were magical and the history of the place is just great. Only shame was we couldn't get down to see the old railway tunnel entrance.

Great park. Plenty for the children to play on. Lovely walks around the park which is massive and leads into a wooded area. Great little nature trail of wooden animals for the children to find which of some of them are in the wooded area. One thing that is not so great but it's each to their own are hills and stairs and some of the pathways are not the best. I know some of this can't be helped due to the tree roots but others can. Lots more fun for the kids if you download the trail on your phone. See pics provided

Interesting park in Huddersfield. The layout is unique, long and steep. The views over to Castle Hill are great! The top of the park is clean and well looked after, however the further down the hill you go the less inviting it becomes, could do with a bit of love.

Play park available, looks super fun for the kids! Lots of different paths to walk, with or without dogs. Lots of interesting wooden carved statues, waterfalls, benches, green areas, view points, beautiful trees, shrubs and plants, as well as woodland areas too for a more secluded off-lead dog walking. Would definitely spend a whole day exploring and some. Highly recommend!

Beautiful park and walk! A little bit difficult with a pram but some parts are do-able! There are bits with steps that other than going out of the park and entering at a different part cannot be avoided. The actual children's play park looks brilliant and will definitely be taking my little one when she is a little bit bigger! Lots of benches and places to sit and admire the scenery and views which are beautiful as the park is quite high up. Lots of different parts to walk about and a truly stunning park! Highly recommended for a lovely little walk around or to help little ones burn off some energy!

Divine park, a mix of ancient woodland with beautiful stonework and traditional walls and gates. Plus formal lawns, ponds and a bandstand. Beautiful vista views across Huddersfield, dreamy!

Great park to walk around, there are a variety of things to do including playgrounds, playing field and woodland walks. The walks very in difficulty and type of terrain some following an old railway at the bottom of the hill and others more formal walkways through the park. From the ridge there are decent views across the valley into Huddersfield. There looks to be a cafe although this was shut, it was late Sunday afternoon. The park is relatively linear in shape and follows the valley hillside. Could definitely go on a number of occasions and still have stuff to explore. Throughout the woods some of the fallen trees have been carved into different shapes. I would recommend trainers or decent shoes especially if going exploring through the woods. Definitely somewhere you can get lost in.

Lovely visit to Huddersfield's first public park. In keeping with the area, lots of ups and downs so prepare to enjoy a workout if exploring all levels. It is set out on quite a steep gradient,in a long narrow length. Good play area at far end and then lots of history and beauty throughout.

What a glorious find! The part that we explored involved a lot of stairs and climbing, follies and gorgeousness, views for the gods and the ghost platform of the Meltham line but we will be back to explore more. Entertaining for all three kids ranging from 8 to 14 and not horrendously far fro. Leeds.

This is the most beautiful park I have seen in the UK. Yes, it's hard to admit that it beats Princes Street Gardens and Inverleith Park in Edinburgh. The animal statues and castle ruins, embedded in nature below the canopy of trees is the substance of an adventure novel. Do visit with friends and family. There's a play park for young ones - an all round winner.

Lovely big park it's an old park so you'll see alot of olden original pavings and stones bridges etc signage is dotted around the park so you know abit about the park and what used to be here back in the days. Please wear correct footwear as some steps are steep and some of the paths aren't concrete. Really enjoyed a walk in it.

Beaumont Park is almost too good to be true. A beautifully scenic and tranquil place like this is a rare thing such a short distance from Huddersfield town. It's obvious that the beauty of this park is very well maintained. Perfect for all walks of life too, whether that be dog walkers, families or even if you're just going for a wander on your own - It's hard to find a more peaceful way to spend your time.

Lovely park. Some parts are understandably muddy at the moment and there's been a bit of damage from the storms but it's still beautiful!

Easy to get here. It was nice afternoon. The cool weather and sunny skies helped lift moods. There were many wooden figures animals and birds available saw them all on my long walk around the park

Beaumont Park is an ideal place to bring kids for scooting, biking or walking. It has lots of lovely grassy areas, plenty of places to climb and explore, wide, flat paths and beautiful views across to Castle Hill. The playground and woodland walkway are great too. I just wish it had a cafe!

Lovely park on the side of a steep hill. Lots of steps, etc. Really nice mix of Victorian park, children's play area and woody area/disused railway. There's also often and ice cream van and small cafe area. Mainly on-road parking.

Lovely views and a more challenging walk as its a bit hilly, some historic features and not too muddy as there are set paths through some of the park, some paths are through wooded areas so not all concrete paths. There are toilets and refreshments at the visitors centre but this has opening and closing times.

Great spaces with different trails for a nice walk but there is also an excellent children's play area. Went expecting to just have a walk somewhere different but spent as long in the play area, lots seems newly added and made it an even better trip out. Download Love Exploring to view trails. Great one with carved animals to find. Lots of the paths would be suitable for a pram, even though there's a number of steps sure these could be avoided to follow a loop for a nice walk.

Vast walking area. Moderate level of difficulty...lots of steps, but also flat pathway to walk about and get everywhere. Amazing views

What a beautiful park with stunning views and plenty of moments of interest as you walk around. It is on a slope so those who aren't strong walkers may struggle with large stairs of steep slopes. It does have play area for children with a new larger one about to open. Plenty of old Victorian buildings and structures around to discover with a wooden animal trail for the lilones to find. A must if you are in the area. Even if you are not strong footed the pathways at the top have the best views and can be accessed by all.

Nice location for a walk but has many steep sections. Ok if you are fit enough but would be a struggle for anyone else. Saw a few elderly couples walking but they were sticking to the fairly flat upper section. Some nice views though. Public toilets available too which is always a bonus. There was a visitor centre which was closed when we were there on a Wednesday afternoon.

This park is great for a quick stroll or a good long walk! I now go every Saturday and Sunday morning and I still feel like there are paths I haven't seen! It's massive! Last week I saw 2 deer in the woods and I imagine there's wildlife everywhere. There are some old castle ruins and a couple of little waterfalls and the place is surrounded with history, there are plaques all over describing the history behind it. There is a park for the kids and a bandstand as well. I would definitely recommend the park to anyone looking for a nice peaceful walk

Very nice park, with quite good views. Not too big though and plenty of muddy paths. Generally though very enjoyable and I would recommend
