Some of the park Is flat but go up into the woods and it is steep although we have done the walks,a few years ago.some of the walks are a bit lumpy, probably because of lack of money!! Car parking is quite good. There used to be a small cafe, but we did not go this time, but it looked open. Plenty of birds to feed around the pond,we will go back when our great granddaughter is older

Nice place to visit with family or friends. It’s spring time and weather presently nice nowadays. U can enjoy all day long. Parking is good enough. There is walking track for walking and running lovers. Benches are everywhere so you can find a place easily when u feel tired. And there is a museum as well. In fact this Park name is Bagshaw Museum and Wilton Park. So u must visit museum.

Lovely park in Batley. The lower park has a lake, children's play area, bowling greens, tennis courts and a carpark. There's a wooded hill walk up to the upper part of the park, where there's the Bagshaw Museum, a butterfly house and carpark.

Amazing park. Sand watched a heron resting next to the lake a few weeks ago. There are a lot of water fowl and a small island with some bird houses and trees in the centre of the lake.

There are nice walks in and around the park. We especially like the parks up to Bagshaw Museum and choose a different path each time.

Beautifully kept gardens. Model boat racing on lake whilst we were there. 2 stars given as do not feel safe walking around this place anymore even in daytime which is a shame given the work Kirklees has put into it.

Beautiful woodland to walk around, kids loved butterfly house outside Bagshaw museum. Would have gone to museum but not open until midday on Sunday. Lake is small but beautiful. Unfortunately the park was let down by the bins not being emptied, so rubbish was everywhere near the kids play area.

Great place to walk around, especially on a warmer day. Lots of paths and places to explore. There is a cafe and toilets, tennis and basketball courts. A large lake seen model boats coming out on a weekend.

Park and museum are nice, cafe near the lake is a bit nasty, I've seen rats every time I've been near it recently. The staff are unpleasant and latte I had was a sachet with undissolved lumps. I will just stick to a nice walk in future.

This park used to be beautiful place to visit, unfortunately since the councillors decided to share all the public funds between themselves, it has run into ruin. Its muddy, dirty and the play area is unusable. Typical of kirklees.

A nice place to go, especially with the woodland paths behind leading to the museum and butterfly house. The park need a lot of money spending on it now though. Hence only 3 stars.

I love Wilton Park. It's a favourite of ours. Love the Museum and the walk to the top. Sundays have the mini boats on the lake. It's so beautiful been coming since I was a child.

Batley Park was looking very good yesterday. The flower beds were looking very pretty with excellent colour schemes and choice of plants. I was delighted to find that a lot of the path round the lake had been resurfaced, making the it very smooth for my disabled buggy. Unfortunately, it didn't go all the way round so back to the potholes in places. It is a beautiful park with lots of places to explore, we're very fortunate to have this facility.

A lovely park at any time of the year. Plenty of parking. A lake and garden to walk round. A park for children around 11 and under. A couple of the geese had extreamly damaged wings which we have let the right people know about them.

Free Car Parking, Ducks, A pond , Ice Cream Van (most days). It's good to walk up away from the main pond area and into the paths that twist around the tall trees. There are some good well made paths and some muddy ones too! If you keep going up away from the pond you will get to Bagshaw museum.

I didnt get stabbed or set on fire during my visit which is always a welcome bonus in this area but I really wouldn't reccomend going here after dark. During the day though its nice there's usually people with sailing boats and plenty of geese around.

A beautiful clean park ideal to stroll in, flat terrain a large selection of water fowl and birds. Children's fenced off play ground, Ice cream van and plenty of parking.

The park is lovely, great to walk around and play area nice. Lots of parking available. Plenty of wildlife to see. Recommend wearing sensible foot wear for walks in the woodland area. Shame not everyone cleans up after their dogs though!

Nice, pleasant park that's actually clean and not fill with broken glass and drugs, with a little of everything for all ages, great for a small stroll, or allowing kids to spend some energy. Tennis courts are in need of some TLC and parking area could be better.

Lovely park, rain or shine. Great kids play area. Lovely big pond with ducks, geese etc. Parking can be iffy on Bank Holidays and special events.

Lovely clean place to take the kids. It was pretty busy when we went, although social distancing is a struggle it was still possible to maintain a distance and have plenty of places and things to play on. Great mini skate park too.

To have a place like this just on my door step is amazing! Somewhere that shouldn't be over looked by the community! My kids love it here and we seem to visit now every other week! It has a good walk, great water area, animals and a sound playground for the children. Highly recommended to everyone! The council do a great job to keep it so clean in comparison to other areas
