Minus 1000 What a TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience!!! Charged the wrong amount, which happens... but what I didn't expect is to turn into an embarrassing 10 minute issue. Amanda, the individual sorting this out, was horrendously rude to a BAME colleague, but perfectly fine with a white lady that worked with her. I call it outward racism!! There were no apologies, Amanda was shouting at the other colleague in front of customers which was VERY awkward. We then had to empty every item onto the counter in front of everyone, and endure more embarrassment. Terrible place, I have never shopped anywhere quite as horrible and dealt with a staff member so unprofessional!!! My advice to anyone reading this is to NOT shop here if you want an easy stress free experience. AVOID

Poor customer service. There were no boxes or packaging for the items you buy even if you want presents for someone. So we asked to provide assistance and they all literally just ignored us and gave us these kind of boxes (in the pic) for us to do something with it. We could not find from these cardboard boxes (ofcourse they aren't presentable) so we left without even getting the item required.

Extremely rude individual staff who walk around looking to boss any customers around for no reason. Didn’t get the name of the staff member but horridly abusive to anyone in her path, saw her talking down on multiple people as I walked through the store and yelled at us for using a trolley the wrong way. Other reviews probably met the same staff member.

One of the biggest The Range I’ve come across. A big variety of products to choose from. You can find Iceland and a restaurant within the building so just shows you how big it is. The lower floor has most of the household items with an accessible outside garden centre. The above floor has mostly Christmas and art products which is also where the restaurant is. I’m not sure how busy the restaurant would get as it seems out of the way and almost hidden. A large number of staff on the tills and stocking the floors. Can’t really go wrong.

Absolutely everything you could wish for in this particular store. Not too impressed with the customer service !!! Some staff members mostly the older end of staff helpful and polite but younger members of staff need basic customer service training at the very least. Had to interrupt 2 young staff members to ask where some fairy lights where that were on display. They both looked at me with blank faces and the girl answered "upstairs' pointed her arm in the direction and turned back to the male member of staff she was talking too and continued on their conversation !!! Really not a good feeling as a customer to feel you are interesting their chat about their private life !!!

Popped into range to do some shopping and was followed around the store, then went to pay for our items to then be accused of stealing. It’s most likely because of the young age, however I still don’t think it’s acceptable to be accused of shoplifting as a valued customer who is a full grown adult. Fix your staff (certain ones)

The store is great but this review is for the cafe upstairs. The manager was lovely and friendly when we visited yesterday but the older lady working with him was blunt, and while obviously stressed, wasn't very polite and made us feel a bit of an inconvenience. We ordered panini's which were not cooked in a panini press (as you'd expect) and were instead warmed in an oven, resulting in the filling spilling out and not warmed through properly. The queue was huge and very slow moving so we left the food and went elsewhere to eat after shopping.

The biggest Range I've visited. Over two larger floors with a cafe area as you would expect. Good variety of products. Parking is really good, it may depend when you visit as this is shared with other near by shops. Location is great for me as I am able to visit other shops located in the retail park too.

Well... I went in for a wrench, but came out with a wrench, a set of spanners and a toolbox. Great prices, a massive range of stuff to decorate and fill your house with. I even met an old work colleague who now works there, we had a bit of a chin wag in the doorway, I trumped (causing a right fuss) and then went home with my new stuff. All in all a great evening.

The size of the store and the variety of the products it stocks, is truly outstanding. I may have just been a bit short on sleep but I can say I've never felt such a terrifying presence as The Range, Birstall. I was glad for the surprisingly slow tills, as the wait to check out was a much needed breather after such a heady and overwhelming consumer experience.

I like this store. They always have a good selection of goods and their prices are competetive. Also had a very nice toasted sandwhich and a coffee in the cafe. Served by a very bright and pleasant young woman. Didn't get her name but she deserves a thank you.

A good range of products at good prices but checkouts are a nightmare, with most operators out of sight of the queue. Also having the same checkouts for homeware and Iceland grocery shopping causes difficulty. Having to poke your goods through a sort of letterbox is crazy too.

All that glitter, fantastic selection of all manner of household items. We also like it because they have toilets on the ground floor and a cafe upstairs.

Impressively big! You can literally buy a kitchen from this place and god knows whatever else you need. Defo worth a walk around. It was a very neat and tidy store because when I walked in I was a little taken back and thus assumed it would be mess... but it wasn't.

The lift and up escalator weren't working which for me being disabled was not good at all. I managed but only just. They had the product I wanted and that was fine.

Awful place, miserable staff (probably down to working conditions and low pay as staff have told me when they have served me on more than one occasion) they overcharge once you get to the tills if there is no manager around to reduce every sale item scan override as staff aren't trusted with this privilege. (sale items go through as full price and discount bargains also go through as full amount and if you take anything back to return they will check the cctv of the tills to make sure you isn't steal it. A culture of mistrust and penny pinching from my 3 experiences.

My daughter and I visited the range and went to look at what the cafe had to offer. It had a good range of food but we didn't have the time to stay so we returned the following week to enjoy lunch out. We were told that only children could have sausage and as my daughter was 23 this wasn't possible but also that if it had been they had run out anyway! As we started to make our choices we were informed that actually most things were unavailable! It was only 12.30 and not overly busy! We said thanks but no thanks and went to IKEA. We did return to shop at the Range and we enjoyed our visit to the store. We got lots of things for Christmas too!
