大好きな自然薯のとろろを食べられるお店。 人気店との事らしいので、開店30分ほど前に店舗に行きました。すでに数十人が開店前にも関わらず待っているようでしたが、コロナの影響なのかその場で並ばないように順番待ちの番号発行機が入口に設置されていました。 歴史を感じる茅葺き屋根の店舗をみて回ったりしているうちに、あっという間の開店時間。スタッフさんの手慣れたスムーズな案内と早めに行った甲斐もあり、一巡目に席に座れました。悩んだ末に「夫婦とろろ」(2名向きのお得なメニュー)をととろ増量で注文。 とろろの有名店だけあり、絶品とろろは増量で大正解！自然薯を使った料理が何品かありましたが、わたしが1番気に入ったのは「揚げとろ」でした。一個しかないのが残念… 主人は、「静岡だけあってお茶が美味いな！」とお茶が気に入ったようです。(料理じゃなくてお茶かい！(笑))

One of the oldest and the most historical restaurant in Shizuoka. You can enjoy Tororojiru, which is Japanese traditional homemade meal, with Edo age atmosphere.

Traditional Japanese teishoku - mashed yam with rice, and would be better if you got nother single order such as tamako-yaki and tatami-iwashi...

The moment when we arrived to this place by car, we already knew the place was popular. That's because the car park was full though it was raining heavily outside during lunchtime. Normally, we, foreigners aren't used to kneeling and eating. However, with the service there, it wasn't too bad at all. The environment in the restaurant was authentic (~ 500 years old), and every traditional dish was fresh. Ohhh BTW they have their own small gift shop and museum. It was worth the trip.

Can't understand what's the fuss about. Yes, restaurants been around for the longest time but the yam paste is not something foreigners could appreciate. Surrounding is nice.
