Great place, great people, awesome experience. This place is absolutely amazing with wonderful people who make sure you have the best tea ceremony you can experience. Everything from getting dressed to drinking tea is simply amazing. They have a lot of kimonos you can choose from, and they will turn you into a geisha in under 30 minutes. Our tea ceremony was held by Yamakawa, the loveliest lady you could meet in Japan. I highly recommend her and will forever be grateful to her for this experience. It's definitely a must while in Tokyo.

What a wonderful experience in Tokyo! I recommend buying your tickets in advance online because we originally wanted to do a tea ceremony in Kyoto but they were completely sold out. Luckily, the Tokyo location still had a couple spots open and we were able to make some changes to our trip itinerary. You first start by choosing your kimono and then the geishas dress you and do your hair. There were ten people total in the room doing the tea ceremony and one geisha hosting. Our host was very informative and friendly. Some people weren’t able to sit on the floor so they were provided a small chair and table so that they could still participate. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of making a drinking tea in Japan. After the ceremony, everyone went outside to the Japanese garden to take pictures. You are allowed to wear your kimono out for the rest of the day as long as you returned it by 6pm. Highly recommend!

This was one of my best experiences on my trip to Tokyo!!! We had a large variety of Kimono and Obi and hair accessories to pick from, and they dressed us properly, not just for show. The tea ceremony itself was very well lead, and very well explained so even people new to tea ceremony could follow very well. What was a very pleasant surprise, was that we could actually keep the Kimono on and walk around the city in them - at which point the fact that we were dressed for actual functionality made perfect sense. I'm sure the website wait that we could keep wearing the Kimono, I just didn't see it before. And since the district here is an old one, there's a ton of shrines and traditional places- and obviously the big Temple- nearly. Perfect opportunity for foto ops. 10/10 will recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Great experience on our trip to Tokyo, very friendly & warm staff, tea ceremony itself was relaxed giving just the right amount of information on tea ceremony history. The kimono rental included really took this to the next level, the staff taking so much care fitting us into the lovely kimonos. Lastly we were given the opportunity to roam the streets for an hour or so following to take pictures. Highly recommend.

We went here for my birthday while also on our honeymoon! It was one of our favorite experiences in our 2-week Japan trip. We did the wagashi making course + tea ceremony and it was so fun and educational. Staff were friendly and the place was beautiful. Yoko-San led our tea ceremony and was very knowledgeable, humble, and kind. She also helped us take lots of beautiful photos and gave great recommendations for where to buy the equipments for tea ceremonies. Yoko-San also made us a lovely paper crane and hand-wrote a personal note congratulating us on our honeymoon. It was such a wonderful experience!

My friends and I just came here for the tea ceremony and sweets making class. We definitely enjoyed it after just shopping around Tokyo for the last couple of days. The class was informative and interesting and we get to bring one of the sweets we made to the tea ceremony to enjoy. We love choosing our kimonos and they set up our hair to fit our face shape well. I recommend coming here to try it out because it was also relaxing. Afterwards, we got to wear the kimonos out to walk around in. It was very fun!

What an incredible experience, the team are very welcoming and professional. From the moment we entered the process was very well organized. Confirm booking, go upstairs choose your kimono - they help you get dressed, do you hair and then show you to the tea room. Once inside, the explain the process, history and teach you some Japanese words. Afterwards you can wear the kimono outside the venue to go and take pictures! Really special!! Thank you Maikoya!!

The shop was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony was one of the most amazing experiences with culture, history, and enjoyment of the tea. Our host was perfect and the ladies who help dress the kimonos make you feel like a princess. Highly recommend!
