Small humble Muslim-friendly restaurant. Muslim menu available, though selection is quite limited. Tried all their Muslim friendly options during my stay in Sapporo & always left the restaurant with a full tummy & a smile on my face. The best thing about this restaurant is that the customer service is excellent. The only downside is that waiting time for a table might take a while (may take up to an hour during peak timing). Be prepared to embrace the cold while waiting for a table if you are planning to visit during winter. The long wait/queue is mostly due to their limited seating capacity. There are only 3 tables (seats 4 person each) & a long table adjacent to the kitchen (seats 5 individually). Hence, the wait.

It is not worth the waiting line. Totally overrated. The food is not that bad, overall I give it 6/10. But hey, waiting for 30-60 minute to eat an average food is not okay. If you are curious why the que line is long, that is because the place is small and they cook very slow 😔 They also provide a vegetarian and muslim friendly ramen, so some people with limited food choice have to queue. Not because the food is special. Again, the food is not bad. I just felt disappointed because the long queue is not justified. It's like a tourist trap (but unintentionally 😂)

Words can't describe how glad I am to have found this place! Got there around 10 pm and had to wait in line, but it is definitely worth it. Extremely hospitable staff + awesome halal food. I recommend the Gengis Khan miso ramen in Peppery-bean-paste Broth. I easily finished the Extra-Large serving! P.S. they do have non-halal options so make sure to let them know you want to eat halal. Also, not all the condiments are halal so the server pointed out which ones I could have.

This outlet offers muslim friendly menu. Delicious and generous portion. The place is small and popular even amongst the locals. We had to queue about an hr when we visited during dinner time. Overall great food and def worth the queue!

Wow just wow, the food is soooo delicious and hearty, the portions were soooo big I couldn't finish the whole bowl and boy it felt so good to have a halal ramen, yes halal! Thanks for that. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The place was a bit cramped but it was okay. Worth it's price. I'll come again.

I got the halal spicy Gengkhis Khan and it’s very good. The lamb smell was not too strong. Ramen noodles were nice. Sticky and chewy. Not as spicy as it looks! Got the normal size and it’s HUGE, lots of ramen and lots of meat!! If you don’t eat alot, just get the usual size. The shop is quite small so we had to wait a few queues before us. The only halal meat is lamb. No chicken no beef. Gyoza was okay but ramen was better. My friend got the non-spicy Gengkhis Khan and it was saltier than mine. Would definitely eat here again the next time I visit Sapporo!!

Great halal ramen shop in Sapporo. Genghis khan miso ramen and genghis khan miso ramen in peppery-bean-paste broth are worth a try. The authentic Japanese atmosphere with artisans cooking where you can see them is worth the wait.

Lovely place. Small, typical, known for its famous ramen... and halal ! Their portions are generous so dont run for the Large meal only if you are really ready for it :) Last thing, it is very common to face a crazy queue.. so be patient, its worth it.

Delicious ramen with a large portion. The best part is some menus are Muslim friendly and they give separate sauce (without alcohol). Nice ambience and hospitality

Have to admit I am not a fan for ramen but this is the kind of shop I like. My favourite kind of Japanese eatery. Small and old venue but with very friendly staff who tried her best to help u. The 3 chefs looked so professional and dedicated to their jobs. We tried 4 diff noodles in the menu. Think shoyu tasted the best. Noodle was a bit more chewy that others. All was up to what I expect from a Japanese ramen experience.

This is my favourite ramen in Sapporo, I always go for the spicy lamb ramen. The server is so lovely she always goes beyond to make the nest service for the staff. Cosy atmosphere.

Really amazing ramen - especially for Muslims visiting & looking for non-pork broths. Really fantastic taste - they must have boiled the soup for the whole day. Such a good meal twas.

The halal Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) ramen was soooooo good. The gyoza are also a must. This is a famous miso ramen shop that added halal items to their menu a few years ago so it’s as authentic as you can get. The people working there are artisans!

Halal friendly Genghis Khan Ramen. We ordered both the normal and peppery one (Extra large portions, we were really hungry!) Both has its own unique taste. They ensured to change the condiments (ones with green dot sticker) for the halal friendly dishes. Old school vibes with many photos of people (famous maybe?) on their walls of fame. Friendly staff that makes you feel very welcome.

Superb. Delicious. Clean! I had a miso soup with pork slices and other staff which I can’t describe. It was absolutely delicious. I also got 5 peaces of gyoza, one serving, added sauce and ate even the plate ... I wanted to ask the old gentleman working behind the bar if he’s the one in the photo taken in 1957 but my Japanese skills are poor. Fantastic experience at a very reasonable amount of money, $17-$18 per head. I super enjoyed my meal entertained by Jazz sound bits, what a day!

This restaurant served me the best halal ramen I ever tasted in my 1.5 years stay in Japan. I will obviously search for the same taste anywhere I try a ramen. The meat was perfectly cooked, neither raw nor over-cooked. The broath had just the perfect amount of spices in it. The gingery flavor made the broath so special that one of my friends wanted to try 2 bowls of ramen a single time. However, don't think that they served a small amount, I was full after having a small bowl of ramen. I forgot the name of the ramen, but I think all the halal options are good. This place is highly recommended, specially if you are looking for a halal ramen in Sapporo.

Very clean shop. The owner aware of halal food for muslim. They even place a sticker on bowls, spoons to differentiate for muslim people. Taste is good. And you can choose sizes of bowl that you want. It is located near the susukino station. Just need to walk a bit and the shop will be along the road.

It’s one of the halal-approved ramen store. Our favourite is definitely the Genghis one. The bowl is quite big for a single person and the meat chunks are plenty. The dumplings are too ‘peppery’ for us tho. The store is quite small, there are 3-4 tables of six and 5-8 bar-like stools. But the ambiance is right since most of the patrons are the locals. We came at 10-11pm; the crowds and the waiting time still acceptable.

We, the Barcelona 6 plus two, had to wait for 30 minutes outside the store, while it was SNOWING outside!! As we were told that even celebrities came here for the halal ramen, so we had to go check it out...it was actually "indah kabar dari rupa", as the real reason for the long waiting list was because there were very limited seating inside!! And from the whole menu, only five (5) items were of halal status!! And the taste of the dishes were really nothing to shout about in the first place!!! We should know as we ordered all 5 dishes from the halal menu!! Talk about under delivering, this is a classic case...

They have muslim friendly menu, I ordered the spicy jenghis khan ramen, the broth is made from spicy miso with lamb meat, surprisingly it tasted like tongseng kambing with mie 🤭

An old fashioned ramen shop but with nice jazz music. I was welcomed by a happy smiling waitress. I ordered Genghis Khan miso ramen and gyoza and the lady explained that it is lamb. Then I watched the 3 dedicated chefs looking at each other and start cooking when they were all in place and ready. One chef prepared soup, one prepared noodles and one cooked meat. I felt like watching a Japanese Drama. One chef also very kind and taught me to mix 2 sauces when eating gyoza. They gave all customers big smile and thanks when we left. Really love this restaurant although the ramen is a bit salty to me. Highly recommended. Cash only.

Amazing ramen. Flavours are perfect and well balanced. Can see why they have been in business since 1957 and why so many famous people ate here over the years!

3rd visit to this particular halal ramen in a span of 4 years and nothing has ever change— top-notch service shown by both chef + servers and irresistible food (spicy ramen + gyoza). additional points too as menu + (plates+utensils) are all seperated for hygiene + halal purposes. highly recommended.

It's very interesting that every ramen resto has its own specialty. And this ramen is very special. I tried the moslem friendly genghis khan spicy miso ramen & the gyoza, and it tasted very goooood. The normal portion is pretty big. The staffs are also friendly. I came when the shop was not crowded, so I picked a big table for myself, later on I felt guilty 'cause after that there's a long queue outside.

My wife and I visited this place in 2019 & we really love your ramen. We hope we can eat here again for our upcoming trip in late January 2023. Are you open during those days?

Came at 2pm & managed to get tables. Popular with locals & tourists. Best halal ramen I ever eaten in Japan

Thank god we arrived early (6 pm). We barely got a table! We didn't have to wait in the drizzling rain and the strong wind outside. I won't ever know how to put this in words, but if I had to (at a minimum), I'd say it was THE best bowl of ramen I've ever had. Lamb + Miso + Ramen, nothing could go wrong!

A famous place, many famous people have visited This restaurant has both halal and non-halal food. Halal ramen had mutton instead of roasted pork fillet, which was new and tasty. To distinguish, they were served in golden bowl. I also enjoyed Gyoza, pork was replaced by tofu.

As a Seventh-Day Adventist, I really appreciate the availability of ramen without pork or shellfish under the Muslim-friendly menu. The Genghis Khan Miso Ramen is delicious. It was a little salty, but that could be my lowered tolerance for salt since living in Japan, so the 5 star rating stands. I ordered an egg and corn separately.

It was my first time eating Ramen Noodles. It tasted so delicious and with the chili spices, it's added a nice flavor. If you were in Japan you really need to try it, you won’t regret it.

They have only 3 menus for halal-dishes: ramen with Genghis Khan miso broth, ramen peppery bean paste broth, and peppery gyoza. Beware: the size of the ramen is beyond normal size, (plus many vegs and meats), but you can ask for a half (ramen peppery bean only), and gyoza was too salty IMO. Sometimes you need to line up to get the seats because it’s quite small restaurant with 2 cooks.

The staffs were very helpful with the menu. One of my favorite halal ramen in Japan. The volume was very affordable. Great place to have brunch.

Delicious ramen with a very unique base soup. It's definitely one of a kind. There aren't too many items on offer, but it's the type of restaurant that does a great job at the dishes it offers. The dumplings were so tasty I almost forgot to take a picture. The ramen had such a great taste and it was slightly spicy, enough to warm you up from the inside out which is great on a cold snowy day. The restaurant is always full, so there's a slight wait, about 10 minutes, until you're seated. Then the food takes around 15 minutes until it's served.

There are always long lines in front this place. Now, I understand why. The place is there since 1957, and of course the owners are specialist to cook ramen, if not the place didn’t exist anymore. The owners and cookers are charismatic too much and they are kind of folkloric persons. The staff (little girl) is very kind. The place is very small. If you want to have a real ramen experience, seat on the counter then you can watch the magic of cooking ramen. One advertisement, if you are people that can’t see any dirty and eat, stay away this place. Hygiene is not the positive point of the place. It doesn’t matter, the ramen was the best in the world. I ate all including the soup. I want to go again. I tried the lamb ramen. It was my first time. Now I believe that this place is one of the best place in the world to eat ramen. and I tried many ramen in Japan, I live in Tokyo since 2015. Try! I really recommend!

Highly recommend! The place has been here since 1957, and the team is extremely courteous and welcoming. We tried the Genghis Khan Miso Ramen with Peppery Bean paste and the Genghis Khan Miso Ramen. It was absolutely delicious - one of the best ramen bowls in Japan.

Halal lamb ramen served on Feb 10, 2023 didn't taste like what I had several times in 2019 and 2020. The miso base soup for halal ramen was incredibly salty. Also the staff members seemed to be still in training and the situation in the kitchen was a mess. Hope the management will look into the issue so I can fix my rating when my next visit.

Came here for the convenience of halal menu but I’m so impressed :) The place is very charming and staff are super friendly. The wall filled with their customers over the years was so sweet to see (even from the 90s!). Ramen is super flavourful and cooked to perfection Extra thoughtfulness with differentiation of the sauces for Muslim and non muslims
