Excellent place for events hire, good service, very clean and peaceful. Located in the CBD which makes it easier to move around and access different services.

The food was good. The service was good. We were curious about going down to see the garden but weren't allowed to do so. The menu items are a little bit on the pricey side ranging from 190- 400 a plate. If you're looking for something budget friendly you're better off going on buffet nights. Their buffets are good too. Saturday's and Friday's I think (not sure). All in all a good night. Be ready to pay a lot for food that's 'just so'.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to find a clean, competitively priced hotel, where the staff are always wishing to help the client. Location is good next to a mall and a 5 to 10 minutes walk to another mall in case you need to get some collectables. Beautiful gardens and fish pond for your pictures.

Excellent Hotel. The staff - each one - has been super nice and friendly, helpful and responsive. Room was in excellent condition, the beds and pillows were probably imported from heaven SO comfortable. The food is great - specifically the Pizza, probably the best I ever had anywhere, and reasonably priced. Strong Wifi, always works. Absolutely zero complaints about anything.

The hotel is okay, not great. Pros: the rooms are reasonably sized, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located and has extra amenities like gym and pool. Cons: the staff aren’t well trained. The reception staff were not welcoming - one was dealing with a client when I arrived, the other was just standing behind the counter - didn’t greet me or let me know that he was not working (I’m guessing). The breakfast was busy and chaotic around their small servery- not well organized. I ordered fried eggs and was told they would be brought to me - 20 minutes & 2 reminders later I still had no eggs (pretty slow for a business hotel). Left without them. The chicken strips tasted a lot like pork/beef sausages- I’m guessing they’re cooked using the same pans and utensils - not great for those of us who don’t eat beef or pork. The food is overpriced for what you get. I ordered chicken wings for room service. They tasted okay but had lots of small feathers still in them - not nice. Surely the price one pays for the wings covers complete removal of the feathers. There is a bit of a stench from the drains in the bathrooms and outside by the pool. The lift (only one) was really busy and slow in the mornings and the stairs are hard to find, which was annoying. Although there is a pool it’s more of an aesthetic feature - small and overlooked by the bar and restaurant. If you like to swim to work out, it’s not the pool for you.

Deserves five star rating, staying their was worth the money. Nice rooms, food, customer service and beautiful environment.

Southern Sun hotels never disappoints. An ambient, serene and beautiful place located right next to ECL mall and a stone throw from Mukuba mall. Staff are professional and welcoming, the breakfast is impeccable, the rooms are comfortable and clean, though I must make mention I did come across a roach or two in my during my stay there, fumigation would be recommended. Overall, perfect place to lodge if you’re on business, a work trip, or even on vacation. They also boast a beautiful pool, well maintained gym, and remarkable outdoor view. I highly recommend

The garden court is very beautiful, the rooms are very clean and well designed. The food is very good too. It also has a pool and a gym to keep you fit during your stay. It is located by a mall making it easy to take a walk around the area, you can also easily get transport to whatever location you need to get to.

This is a 5 star hotel. The workers offer a friendly service. The rooms are excellent. For the meals, aaahhhh it's mwaah 😘

One of the only few hotels of its kind in Kitwe. Rooms are good but service seems to breakdown after 9PM. If you want to have a good check in and dining experience do it before. Anytime after that is the wild Wild West. Very slow and very frustrating.

This is the best place to stay if you do go to Kitwe. I loved my stay there.

What you guys did on the Ethiopian athletes is insane. I think the hotel is for all public services those who are able to pay their bills. There is no such like indigent quality of services for customers. Even though Ethiopia athletes did great success in the same place. Viva for Ethiopian athletes. A guest has the respect that this world is not our home our home is in Heaven. This is how believe so if you come to Ethiopia you got a special bedroom for free. I don't advise to go such a place for any event.

I still maintain that their customer service is the best I've experienced in the hotel industry in Zambia. Even if they did give me a room right at the end of the corridor despite asking for one next to the lift 😒 And maybe a breakfast take away bag for early check-out should have muffins and fruit ad opposed to beans and spaghetti 🙄 which left me with cold food I'd rather eat hot and a messy bag from the runny bag

Great hotel, located very conveniently in Kitwe. Service levels are high, hotel is clean and neat and the staff are friendly. Pricey for a 3 star rated place, but definitely a cut above locally.

Great hotel! Beautiful rooms and incredibly tasty food. Had a great sleep and wonderful shower. The restaurant is very busy during lunch hours. We didn't know who our waitress was because we had 3 people coming to us. We had to order drinks, ice and lemon multiple times and still by the end of our meal we still didnt get what we asked for.

Stayed a night, room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant and Bar area are clean and fairly cosy. Breakfast was really good. Hotel staff are polite and helpful. Disability friendly too!

We phoned them to find out if we needed to make a booking for Sunday lunch. A very friendly professional and courteous lady enquired if this was for a birthday or a party, she then informed us that we could just come and they will show us to a table. On arrival I went to reception and as soon as I asked for a table, the lady said "Table for 3", as she remembered my phone call earlier. They have an extensive menu that caters for everyone's taste. The service by the waiter was first class. She was very friendly, professional and very efficient. Our food arrived within amicable time, was very well presented, the portions was large and delicious. Would go back there any day.

The atmosphere and the staff service is fine especially the house keeping. The rooms are modern and nice however there is drain smells and kitchen food smell if you switch aircon at night. Staff are friendly ,food is average ,no condiments on tables ,if you like Chilli be on fasting for the duration of the stay. There is a beautiful artificial pond for you to go read or sit and observe the fish playing if you are a nature fanatic. It's close to all malls.

Stayed there in mid May this year. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff is professional and friendly. Food was okay. I don't think it's a 5 stars though (I didn't get or felt that 5 stars experience) and the rooms are overpriced for the standards offered ($150)- didn't get the value for money.

Absolutely terrible service. The waitresses take for ever to never bring your orders. The hotel is nice but the appaling service really really let's it down.

The food was not great. I ordered steak and Nshima. The steak was over done and the Nshima was not done. I had to ask for French Fries as a replacement.

I think management can do better. The room service people left their cleaning detergents in my bathroom, they disturbed me often, low quality cookies for snacks, and the hotel can definitely improve on the air conditioning and smell in the lobby. It smelled of fish and sweat.

Just went to have some coffee with a few friends. Really good ambience with some outdoor seating. Good breeze and the coffee wasnt too bad.

Great food. Great staff. Very friendly and polite. Meals on time despite the demand oh and great pizza too. Awesome environment..me and my partner enjoyed ourselves..just never really got an excellent picture for memories but we are sure visiting again.
