This place is a dream come true. First of all, the staff is so nice, helpful, friendly and kind they make you feel like home in a second. Everything is so clean, well organized, the food is organic and very tasteful. Juliette and her team are so so so nice. The rooms are beautiful just like the rest of the resort. Treat yourself and stay here for a couple of nights!

Wonderful place to stay. The sunset, pool, architecture are amazing. The staff is wonderful. They are friendly, well informed, very helpful but they need to work too hard. I would recommend hiring more people because I think they are a bit understaffed at the pool/food area. Because 1 person needs to do 3 jobs at the same time ( show people around, bring food, get orders). Especially during breakfast and dinner service they have too much work to do at once. Would recommend this place immediately. But please consider getting more staff.

Positives : Lovely hotel. Nice rooms. STUNNING pool area. Pleasant staff. Negatives : Needs more variation in food , it gets boring very quickly. Its also quite pricey. They let externals use the facilities and because the hotel is so small when a group of 12 turn up it makes a massive negative impact on the communal areas. Sun loungers could do with updating. Dining area could do with more atmosphere, it's very basic.

Amazing views. The hotel is on the edge of cliff/land which is an unexpectedly beautiful area. Quite the road to get there, which we enjoyed too. You get too peek from the road into the local villages, without any tourists around. Such a serene and quiet hotel. The amenities are beyond expectations. At low tide,go down through the cave which leads to the beach. A sandbank forms at low tide too with the finest white sand. Quite raw and different than mainstream hotels, which is exactly what we wanted. Also, take the garden tour The staff are so attentive and nice.

We decided to spend the last 2 nights of our Zanzibar voyage here amazed by the world of mouth. The sunset is simply speechless but we got disappointed about all the rest. Access to the sea is pretty dangerous (even if spectacular in terms of view) through a small high ladder or a cavern full of water during high tide.. we would have appreciated a third access to make it safer and comfortable for everyone. The food is just expensive, nothing special nor authentic. Same applies to the music. The service was mediocre (they did not accommodate any changes during dinner just because we missed sending a whatsapp message) and the real Zanzibar vibe was missing. We live in UAE and this place tries to replicate Dubai prices without providing the same comfort. f.i. 120$ for a yoga session or 380$ per couple for a sunset dinner with wine. Last night we were scared because we asked throughout the entire day about the transfer to the airport, one guy left without even informing the colleague what we needed and of course no one helped us with the luggages from the little forest to the gate. The room was curated and we appreciated the terrace and its design, the mosquito net did not reach the ceiling so it was just design.. It would have been appreciated a free boat service to explore the surroundings like some boutique hotels of the same category have. Based on our experience we don’t suggest for more than a couple of nights.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Kizikula, however there are certain points to consider before booking. We enjoyed the beautiful design of the hotel, with rooms with outdoor shower. Overall clean property with just a couple of minor details. They serve a great breakfast where you can order all you want. They also offer snacks and small attentions throughout the day when spending it at the hotel. The pool area is nice, with several cute spots to chill. Pool is clean and enjoyable and the hotel has many fruits and veggies trees. When booking you need to keep in mind that the access to the sea can be done only via a ladder or a cave. None are very pleasant to go through and it’s quite dangerous. The sea is not great in this area. You need to either stay by the pool and relax or rent a car and go maybe 1h away to a good beach. Another minus point was the price for dinner. They offer a menu with a small soup, a dish (meat $30 / fish $35 / veggie $20) and a tiny dessert. You can also just order the dish for around $15 - $25). The food was great but we felt it was expensive. If you have a car, you can eat around in different spots for around $15 USD. Yes, food won’t be as good but portions will be larger and cheaper. We would suggest booking the hotel for 3 nights (as we did) in order to relax.

Stunning boutique hotel, amazing for couples and tranquility. Should be 5* but a few things really let it down. You’ll find the same themes in my review as others which is not great as it means the hotel hasn’t taken onboard past feedback or made minor adjustments which could really improve people’s stay. I’m not going to spend time here as from the pictures you can see what this place has to offer and it’s amazing!: - ambiance - cocktails - sunset - pool - staff are very friendly - rooms & showers - free to use paddle boards - outdoor rustic gym - yoga mats - comfortable beach lounges and beds What needs improvement? 1. The Food - the dinner options really let’s this place down and it seems like most people share The same opinion. It wasn’t bad but you aren’t getting what you pay for and the lack of flexibility of options is a problem. The menu for dinner is very limited, you have a set menu which contain a meat/fish/veg dish. It comes with a smalll starter and dessert.. and it’s massively overpriced and under portioned. The mains come with the same rice and spinach every day we were there so the only thing that changed was the protein.. the desserts were horrible, you basically get a traybake style cake or fruit salad (same one every day).. and the portions were very small. I understand wanting to minimise waste and there isn’t anything wrong with a set menu but if that is all there is then it should be done to a much better standard. 2. Access to the sea - either ladder or the caves. I thought both options were very cool and “adventurous” but only if you’re able bodied. I unfortunately twisted my ankle just before my trip, thankfully I booked Kizikula at the end of my trip otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to go into the sea. Would I come here again? Yes. I loved the vibe but I’d bring a lot of snacks and/or hire a car to give myself the other food options.

Based on my last 3 trips to Zanzibar, Kizikula serves some of THE best and freshest food in town, hands down. Service is great. Staff are very polite and attentive and always willing to help. A different architect designed each room so none match and each room has its own unique signature. This hotel is my #1 place to stay. The place is magical, the people are welcoming and the guests are quiet. I can't wait to go back and to take my friends with me

This is such as tough review to write because on the whole it was lovely and I feel I should I be writing a raving review, but there were some major downfalls to add-ons which tainted our view on it. We did come back for additional days as the location and rooms are perfect, but they have clearly not addressed previous issues in other reviews and that is a real shame as it’s got so much potential. I would still recommend but just with the knowledge of the below. Good bits: - all the staff are super friendly and feel like family - shout out to Enock, Kennedy and Arafat who were all amazing! - Design is stunning and location is beautiful. Very tranquil. Rooms are gorgeous and saw best sunset we’ve ever experienced. - Food feels clean and healthy whereas some food we have had in Zanzibar feels very mass processed - great drinks - lovely atmosphere Bad bits: - expensive food - overpriced even by UK/European standards and not enough variety. There is little other restaurant choice around so you are stuck eating the food here. Had food in other hotel locations on Zanzibar for half the price that was outstanding so was hard to swallow these prices for the quality. - service can be slow and can need chasing. - massage wasn’t good, very basic. - allergies not really accommodated. When arriving, we were asked about allergies but I got served pineapple and nuts every day that I have an allergy to (which was not highlighted on menus) regardless of reminding them multiple times. It’s fine if you maintain very vigilant but not good service. One day will catch them out seriously. - laundry - They caused quite a lot of damage to clothes (shrunk and stained). It’s always a risk but not what is expected from this level hotel when the laundry service is expensive. They seemed apologetic when it happened didn’t do enough to resolve. - Transport/taxis are expensive but in line with other expensive hotels. - not a massive fan of the fact food has to be ordered through WhatsApp so you always need your phone on you. Minor point though - any ‘extras’ are overpriced generally.

We loved our stay here. It’s a hidden gem. If you are looking for a relaxed stay with privacy it’s the perfect place. The interior is very nice and above the standard of other hotels. I would recommend it for 3-4 nights as you are bound to the hotel restaurant and from other places it’s easier to do activities.

The staff are super friendly. The room is really nice, too. The pool are pretty. And it is very quiet and cosy, I’d love to stay at it again. The only downside that we did not really like is the food, food is mediocre yet very pricey (perhaps more expensive than Europe despite the basic ingredients and presentation). Kitchenware were also just okay, I’d suggest working on it to suit the design of the hotel. If you are in that area, I would recommend visiting Mtende beach, the most beautiful beach on the whole island and Paje.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Kizikula Hotel, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This hotel truly excels in every aspect, making it one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. To begin with, the views at Kizikula are simply breathtaking. The hotel is situated in a romantic and secluded location, offering mesmerizing vistas that are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The beautiful architecture of the hotel blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural beauty, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere. The staff at Kizikula are truly outstanding. One individual who stood out was Kennedy. He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect. Kennedy was accommodating, friendly, and made our experience truly memorable. His genuine care and attention to detail made us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. Another staff member who deserves a special mention is Chindoo, who mixed up amazing cocktails that added an extra level of enjoyment to our evenings. The rooms at Kizikula are the epitome of luxury. From the moment we stepped into our room, we were blown away by the opulence and attention to detail. The beds were incredibly comfortable, allowing us to enjoy a restful night's sleep. One standout feature was the outdoor shower, which added a touch of indulgence and uniqueness to our stay. Overall, Kizikula Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The excellence displayed in its location, architecture, and amenities was only matched by the exceptional service provided by the staff. This hotel truly knows how to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for its guests. In conclusion, if you are looking for a hotel that offers stunning views, beautiful architecture, a romantic and secluded location, luxurious rooms, and excellent service, then Kizikula Hotel is the perfect choice. From the accommodating and fun staff, led by the amazing Kennedy, to the comfortable beds and delightful outdoor showers, this hotel is a true gem. My stay at Kizikula was nothing short of exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable hotel experience.

Beautiful location, excellent staff and a very fair price. Rooms are new and food is brilliant - having been around the island and looked at a few other places nowhere else is anywhere near as good a value in this price range - one thing though would recommend walking into town for a tour, it’s c. half price there and the tours we did were great - but please don’t let this out you off staying!!

This place was everything we were looking for for our holiday! A beautifully designed quiet oasis right at the ocean with a beautiful pool, breathtaking views and great food! On top of that the staff was just amazing, super sweet, very attentive and in general fun to be around. We would come back in an instant. Asante sana Kizikula, everything was poa!

One of my favorite hotel worldwide. The owners are genuinely kind beings. And the chef’s food is the best (still dreaming about her curry) ! And they are growing their own products and got lambs, chickens and plenty fruits and veggies!

This place is truly amazing! Our stay of 5 nights was splendid! Great staff, service and accommodation. A place that needs to be experienced :) Pros: - Sunset (best on the island?) - Rooms: spacious, well designed & AC - Pool: Large, great depth and no noticeable chlorine - Staff & Service - Overall food experience Cons: - Lack of dinner variations (only 2 per night) - No beach (but possible to walk around during low tide)

Amazing place. Spent 3 nights and would definitely come back. Very quiet location with amazing sunsets over the water. Truly incredible to swim in the ocean at high tide as the sun sets.

By far the best hotel stay we ever had!! Super friendly and helpful staff, great local food (most of it grown in their own backyard), and super cool open rooms. The pictures don't lie, it is a beautiful place.

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel on the stunning island of Zanzibar, and we must say, it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful architecture of the hotel, which was both elegant and unique. But what really made our stay truly special was the incredibly friendly staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, treating us like family rather than just another guests. They were always available to answer our questions, offer recommendations, and make sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. One of the highlights of our visit was the delicious food prepared at the hotel's restaurant. The chef made use of fresh organic produce grown in their own luscious green garden in the backyard, and the result was truly unforgettable. The flavors were vibrant and delicious, and it was clear that a lot of care had gone into every dish. But what really stands out in our minds was the kindness of the staff. When we both got a bad sunburn one day, they went out of their way to cut some fresh aloe vera from their garden to help treat it. It's little gestures like these that make a hotel stay truly memorable. Overall, we can't recommend this hotel enough. The beautiful architecture, friendly staff, and delicious food made for a truly unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to go back again soon. If you're planning a trip to Zanzibar, be sure to book a stay at this wonderful hotel - you won't be disappointed!

I have no words to describe how amazing this hotel is, as someone who has travelled a lot and stayed in many a luxurious hotel. This is the best of the best. Shoutout to all staff including Hamsa and all bar and waitressing staff. The kindest, most helpful and friendliest people you will come across. The rooms are spectacular, the food is the best we have had in Zanzibar and been here for 3 weeks and stayed in numerous resorts and hotels. If you want to unwind, be completely relaxed in a luxurious environment, this is the place for you!

The best place on Earth, everything was perfect - rooms, surroundings, food, sunsets. When we arrived, they explained the meaning of the phrase «Hakuna matata» and recommended us to embrace it, and we did just that. We relaxed and enjoyed, and even after 3 years, we still remember this vacation as one of the best. A huge thank you to the entire hotel team.
