As a truck driver I just love this kind of “hidden gems”. Is the kind of place you plan your trip around. Brad & Montana in the Kitchen know what they are doing, great wings, Janice at the bar very attentive and basically people that knows about hospitality and make you feel welcome. Come eat have a drink if you can, you won’t regret it. AMAZING PLACE

I had the chance to meet the owner and his rock solid side kick Montana while I enjoyed a fantastic and very reasonably priced steak dinner two days ago. These are true entrepreneurs with a unique vision and the skill to bring fresh ideas forward. This is scratch cooking folks. The real deal. Lots of talent and know-how going in this kitchen. A new original is on the map. Great food and conversation. Fun spot.

Fantastic small town restaurant. My family and I stopped in here on the way to bend and had a great experience. Everything was top-notch. I had a daily special Patty Melt, it was so juicy and flavourful and had this tremendous homemade russian dressing, it was on some fresh marble rye and came with some delish wood chips. My wife had a Philly Cheese, it was loaded with meat and cheese and super delicious, also with wood chips. The 2 little guys had a grilled cheese with wood chips and a tortilla soup, both were super. As well, we shared some honey drizzle bbq rub wings. The wings may have been the best wings I've ever had, incredible! All the food was fresh, made from scratch and delicious. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Big city eateries could learn from a restaurant like Ponderosa Public House. The place was clean, washrooms were clean as well, and the artwork on the outside of the building is what drew us in. Highly recommend to anyone lucky enough to be around this place! Eat here!

What a cool place! And Chef Brad knows his stuff. First 2 times, had the Guinness stout battered pacific Rock Fish 8oz filet. Served with his famous chips and remoulade sauce for only $15.00! Had one of the best dining experiences and we drove 35 miles one way, but so WELL worth the drive. Went back for a delightful Valentine's Day 4 course meal. Incredible salad with homemade dressing, crab cake and coconut shrimp, then either shrimp or steak topped off with brownie and raspberry sauce. We love this place in Chemult.

This place is always amazing! We make the 40 minute drive from La Pine frequently because the food is always fresh and delicious. They always feature the best specials. Nearly everything is made in house. I’ve never had a bad meal here.

This restaurant showed me what potato chips could be. I'm not a potato chip person. I find most to be too dry, too salty, and generally not worth the calories. But Ponderosa Public House's "Wood Chips" are one of the best foods I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Potato slices baked to a just-barely-crisp perfection, slathered in a homemade barbecue rub made with smoked paprika. These chips are a culinary experience. These chips, of course, came as a side to my Philly. Well-cut meat with delicious fresh cheese, peppers, and onions. You'd expect a Philly cheese steak to be heavy and greasy, but this one is very well balanced. It comes with au jous, and my only nitpick with my meal is that I wish it had just a touch more flavor, but it still added a wonderful butteriness to the sandwich regardless. My mother, who was with me, had their daily special of fish and chips. Overall we were very pleased with this restaurant. There's a reason it has the rating it does. Anyone driving along the highway should stop by and check this place out if they have the time.

Awesome Henry paint job on the outside and a awesome burger on the inside. Watched Monday Night Football and got to meet the owner Brad. Great guy. And a great burger. They have 5 star reviews for a reason. Great place!
