I hate being harsh on reviews but we honestly didn’t have a great experience here. First, whose idea was it to put the fish cleaning station in the same shack as laundry? When you’re running the dryer, the whole place smells like hot fish. I would say that spots 12 through 15 are really nice with a great view of the reservoir. All of the other ones are akin to a big dusty parking lot with no privacy and a view of the back of the restaurant. The whole time we were there we had electrical issues, with our AC failing to power on and the workers admitting to us that the spots were not capable of supporting the amount of rigs that were there. Maybe if your campground can’t support them, you should limit the amount of guests you book at once? We ate at the restaurant once, and the view was great but the food was awful and over priced for being essentially frozen fish sticks and reheated French fries. We went to Lake of the Woods later in the week and the food was worlds better there. The owner also has the three employees doing every job around the property, from one waitress running the entire restaurant, to one handyman manning the desk, operating boating, and cutting down trees mid week. Best part about this place is the great view and the chance to kayak on the water. It’s a shame, because with proper upkeep, the location of this place could make it amazing.

We took a trip to Rocky Point Resort at the end of March and had a lovely time during our stay. We had originally booked to stay in one of the cabins and were informed of an electrical issue with the cabin so they put us in the camper instead. The camper did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the view of the lake and the fire pit. The owner went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was relaxing and memorable. We enjoyed dinner while taking in the gorgeous view of the lake. I highly recommend waking up before sunrise and watching it on the lake. We could not figure out how to get the water to stay hot, but it wasn’t a huge deal. The drive up to Crater Lake was beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This place is terrific. We are staying in our RV right on the lake. Scenery is beautiful and serene, the staff have been amazing and very helpful. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the restaurant last night took well over 2 hours to get our food, i didn’t feel they were that busy to take so long, it was over an hour just to take our order and get a drink. The wait guy was literally running but getting nothing done? It was just weird. Had to get snacks out of the car for the kids because it took so long. The food was excellent once we finally got it. Amazing clam chowder. Restrooms were nice and clean, bring quarters to shower. RV sites are plenty big enough with fire pits, tables and hookups. The little store had lots of cute things and expected staples.

Property was extremely well kept. The room we stayed in was in a section off the main entrance with four other rooms (5 total all side by side). The management was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They have a restaurant and bar as well onsite but you can't find the menu online anywhere. We went for dinner and we're the first ones there. It took a long time to get our food with only two other tables being served. Menu was okay for selection but not great. Definitely need to improve on their restaurant overall as far as wait staff, cook time, etc (but the scenery is beautiful, right off the lake and the inside is nice and clean with a great atmosphere). Our room was extremely clean, bed was nice, and the staff were all friendly. Linens fresh and a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, AC unit which kept the room cool and nice. The walls are a bit thin so if you happen to have a noisy person next door like we did you're in for a night of bad sleep, but that can happen anywhere. Will definitely stay at again should I pass through the area.

This place is a hidden gem! I loved the simple rustic appeal of everything from the Cabin to the convenience store and restaurant. My uppity wife on the other hand didn't enjoy the frog in the shower the lack of toilet paper and no filters for the coffee maker. So picky, right? The railing on the wrap around porch needs attention asap, before someone gets seriously injured. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen! Also, I'm not sure if telling your customers when they are done to leave the key inside, and the cabin unlocked is the best way to conduct business? A key drop at the office would be much smarter. The restaurant was good, not amazing but definitely not bad. The food was good and the service was good but a tad slow and they forgot about us at the end. We had to hunt down our waitress to get the check. No worries though, cause the view from our table was beautiful!!! I fully plan on returning (without the wife) for a fun filled fishing trip. We were passing through on our way to Corvallis so no time to investigate everything Rocky Point had to offer? This place does look incredible, if you're looking for a fishing getaway!!!

The room was cozy and better than camping. Reasteraunt had good food and wine selection. The boat rentals were the best part. There was some hair in the bath drain, but besides that we had a great Anniversary. They had a sleep by number bed.

Quick easy and cheap fun! We rented the little power boat and went up the channel a bit. The boat and all the equipment worked good and checking it out and in was a breeze. This is a good fit for solo travel or family fun. Lots of kayaks and other watercraft to choose from. Good little store and convenient looking campgrounds.

Almost a 5-star review. The staff were all great, from housekeeping to the restaurant wait staff. The location was superb for kayaking the canoe trails. The resort is small, quiet and clean. We stayed in a rustic cabin. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen had just about everything you should need. Our only complaint about the cabin was the dim lighting in the living-dining room. It was hard to see at night. The restaurant produced rather ample proportions of decent food. The taters are interesting, halfway between a tater chip and a fry. Expect basic dining, not fine dining. The view from the restaurant is superb, and we were not rushed from our table. There is a store there with basic stuff. We found there was not much to do locally in the evening except walk on the road going past the resort. There are no nearby hiking trails. Beautiful country. We came in March to see birds and boy did we see birds. The canoe trails were mostly empty of people therefore nobody bothering the wildlife.

We only visited the restaurant, but really one of the best meals I've had in some time. The staff was great and friendly, and we enjoyed the sweeping views from the patio. There was a salmon dinner special that was delicate and fresh, I loved it. Do not miss out on this gem!

Cute, rustic, and charming place to getaway. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. Some things around the resort are a little outdated, but it doesn't stop it from being a nice place to visit. We want to come back for a longer stay. A little bummed the TV didn't connect to the internet. Granted we didn't go for the TV, but it would of been nice to relax. Store closed early, but it seemed like they were short staffed so we understood. Room was clean and the coffee that was provided in the room was good.

Very welcoming staff and a peaceful location. I stayed with my dog in the hotel cabin section and it was nicely updated yet lake resort quaint. The restaurant has a gorgeous view for dinner and drinks. I will definitely stop by again.

I messed up my reservation, but the clerk accommodated me. We stayed in a 30 ft or so RV. I would have liked the cabins better, but that was my fault. The clerk was awesome. The resort had a restaurant on site as well. Pretty good food.

The room was so clean and had a lovely porch. We went kayaking and saw some beautiful wildlife! The restaurant was also a nice touch, with a great selection of wines and beers, and yummy “dipper” potatoes.

Decent place food was good, fries were over done but they did offer to redo them. I was too hungry to wait. Peaceful area with beautiful lake views. Well set up lots of wild life to watch while eating.

Owner was very helpful and checked up in even though we arrived a few minutes past front desk closing. She also was quick to tell us all the different things we could try while we were in town for the few days. The restaurant was also quick and food was good. Cabin was quiet and kayaking around the lake was a great way to spend some extra time we had.

We stopped in there on our way up to Crater lake for lunch. It took a half an hour to get Waters for three people. Another half an hour to get a menu only to be told that they were out of 3/4 of the things on the menu. Not impressed with the service not impressed with the food but absolutely love the location and the view!

We rented #6 for the week of July 4th (No campground activities) A furnished trailer. Perfect location! View of the water and short walk to store and dock. However, the trailer just wasn’t stocked well. Only 2 bath towels for a weeks stay. No extra blankets or pillows anywhere. Only 2 pans. Both small. Zero extras, such as salt and pepper, or oil to cook with. There is no TV antenna, but they provide free DVD rentals. And ZERO instructions on how to work ANYTHING! We spoke to the owner and she didn’t seem to acknowledge or care. She literally shrugged 🤷‍♀️. The restaurant is beautiful, and what a waste! It says open by 4:30. Cook was late and wasn’t ready for an hour. Then to find out the menu is nothing like online. And expensive. We left and took our business elsewhere. They really should be open for breakfast and lunch if anything. Nobody was going there. I recommend Lake of the Woods up the street! Don’t bother with trying to call or email. They do not respond whatsoever. But we did catch! And again, the view was great. They just need to polish up the business end of things.

The view from the restaurant is amazing, and the service, food, and drink options are fantastic. I'm obsessed with their potato dippers! They slice them in a way that gives them a crispy exterior but still has the texture of a potato wedge! I'm so excited to try out their apple bread pudding with a whiskey glaze tonight!

We had reservations for Wednesday afternoon through Sunday. We ended up leaving Friday morning due to the swarms of hornets and other issues at our site. It was an awful experience and would not recommend or return. If hornets weren't enough, kids were running through our site at all hours of the day, dogs were running loose, our pup was leashed. Unleashed dogs were pooping in our site and we had to clean up after them. It was noisy, gross, and overall experience was a complete downer. We traveled 10 hours one way to get there, so ending the trip early was a disappointment.

Past years, we would get a motel room, and our parents would get a cabin, and there were several other families that would also be in the group. Every year it seemed like there were some minor issues that we could overlook (Minor cleaning issues, maintenance issues, lack of linens, restaurant staffing issues). This year, we chose to stay in a trailer. Upon late check-in, we discovered the trailer had been leaking due to the thunderstorm that had come through that day, and there were further signs that the trailer had leaking issues in the past. The trailer indicated it could sleep 4, but there was no bedding for the couch that turned into a bed. The mold in the trailer from the leaks was overwhelming. We made it through the first night of our stay as it was so late, and moved to other lodging that was also on the property, and reimbursed the others who crammed into a single cabin to assist. The management only provided us a partial refund, and did not bother to provide the other group that graciously downsized to one cabin any discount. I love the location, but we will not be staying at this location until its clear things improve.

my son had a reservation at Rocky Point for a 4 night stay for a local training class he was taking. He is a wildland firefighter and 2 days after he made the reservation was called out on a fire that required him to cancel his reservation. Since he was not in a service area i called right away to explain the situation, they told me the best they could do was not charge him the balance due on his stay (which was half the total amount). They eventually ended up refunding him an additional $75 but kept $150 of his deposit. For what I ask? did the 2 day reservation cost them anything? Most people would understand the situation, realize it is by no fault of his own that he had to cancel, and be thankful for his service--but not them. When the time comes for him to take this training class he will NOT be staying at Rocky Point.

The resort itself is probably fine, it just needs a little updating. The pillows were so flat even folding them in half helped little. The smell was that of sweat on the pillows and bedding. When we arrived the power was out for the whole resort and they were very little apologies or concessions.

Beautiful remote location, very friendly staff, tons of outdoor activities! We stayed in cabin 1 and it's absolutely adorable! The bed is so comfy with the orthopedic gel memory foam topper, I immediately got on Amazon and bought myself one. A very picturesque little spot for a getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed our night out of town!

The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice. The room was cute but there were lots of spider webs that had been there long enough to have multiple bugs in them. :(. We loved kayaking on the lake.

We stopped here going to try out the restaurant, but we were between meal serving times. We grabbed a few things in the store and sat at a picnic table. Prices were what you expect at a n out of the way resort, but everything we had was in good condition - nothing had been sitting on the shelf for 5 years, as is sometimes the case at resort stores. Service was great. Very pleasant atmosphere. Clean and well maintained.

Nice RV park. Decent access to Crater Lake. Restrooms very nice, has pay showers. Didn't get a cabin, all were full. We tried to book two weeks ahead and that was too.late. We ended up in trailer #8. Staff was friendly. Note there are limited refunds, and they really mean it. Avoid trailer #8. Can't run AC and microwave at the same time. Bed is sloped. Trailer is really old. Fridge is replaced with a motel type mini fridge. Limited cooking utensils.

The cabin had everything we needed, we cooked our own meals most of the time. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening. The food was delicious and the view was remarkable! Very remote area. Bring everything you need with you and be sure have enough gas in your car. No gas station for several miles. We enjoyed our stay

The stayed in the hotel/cabin rooms. 1 room studio with a toilet. A tiny bit snug for plus size, but shower was large enough. Bed was squeaky & the walls were thin. BUT we didn't stay in the room long. Beautiful view. Worth waking up early to see the beautiful sunrise. Close to Crater Lake & the city to grab food. The restaurant was good as well.

Recently just stayed here for 2 nights with my mom, great little place, it has a rustic feeling but in a nice comforting way. All staff were super friendly all over the resort including at the restaurant. Rooms are great for what you expect, we stayed in the motel section and it was comfortable. We also went canoeing for a few hours and saw some birds including an eagle! Restaurant food is great, and the view you get from the outside seating is beautiful! Overall a great experience if you want the perfect amount of "middle of nowhere" vibes mixed with the right amount of amenities.

We got there and the area looked like something out of Friday the 13th horror movie. Extremely creepy. Staff was nice and friendly. The beds in the cabin were extremely uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on rocks. One of the beds was sinking down towards the ground when u got on it. After one night we switched hotels. Do not recommend this place.

We had the privilege of staying right at the start of the season when the restaurant opened. My husband, baby and I ended our paternity/ maternity leave with a stay here: the very best experience we could have had. Wonderful staff and beautiful place to wrap up our leave!

Kim is a very friendly host who is extremely helpful as well. The entire staff was welcoming and our stay went off without a hitch. Views of the lake are beautiful as well. Nice little rustic spot with full hookups, coin showers and clean bathrooms! We will be back!
