Mismanaged shambles. People queueing for hours at immigration. Using some outdated fingerprint scanning system.

A disgrace for International Transit passengers. The airport transit area had no food, bottled water or other drinks, only a water dispenser with paper cones. The vending machines were empty and switched off. The place was like the scene from a disaster movie. Surely in an airport the size of Colombo they could have at least 1 food stalls open offering drinks and food. Unbelievable.

This is one of the best airports. Good design for Parking / drop off vehicles. Approaches are wide and clear. Signage system is perfect and well synchronized. Information for flights are updated after every minute. Must appreciate the software programs for quick clearance from checks, immigration, etc. Cleanliness is appreciated. Staff deputed for the guidance of travelers are competent and cooperative. Restrooms are clean and properly attended. Escalators are of good capacity and standards as no problem of vibration or noise. Stall / shops of foods are available.

Love to travel via KLIA. Altho not many stores like other airport in the departure area, the facilities are superb. Friendly staffs and great navigation (signboard) for first time visitor. Since everyone can converse in English, it is easy to travel here. Love to come very early before my flight time because I can walk slowly and look around the area. Comfortable vibes and clean too.

It's okay. Alot of shops closed. The airport feels a little dead during this year. But I'm sure in time it will go back to normal again. Plenty of food options around. Lighting could be better at some areas. There is a supermarket there which is nice. The toilets are clean. Airport is generally clean. All automated machine check ins now. Harder for the older people to figure it out. Over all okay. Just very empty at some areas of the airport.

Sorry I had to say this. The international departure lounge is very small, disorganized, with unclear management! Airport immigration staff are not friendly and treat people rudely. Bad experience at this airport! I show some videos of people running to catch their flights. The result of their long wait in the immigration line. I'm sure many of them missed their flights because of the slow immigration service. There was a long queue at immigration, and I spent around 2 hours just waiting in line. I feel like they were not prepared for the high influx of tourists during the holiday season. Out of the 4 counters in front of the line, only 2 officers were working, and even when their shifts were over, there was only 1 immigration staff left, while the queue remained very long. I hope that in the future, this manual system can be replaced with machines to make the process more efficient and eliminate long queues at immigration. I believe machines can work more professionally compared to human service, which can be affected by their bad mood throughout the day.

KLIA is the biggest airport of Malaysia.Interconnected metro train facility available at airport between terminals. All shops at airport are still closed due to COVID-19🦠😷 protocol, even vending machine products are out of stocks. Airport is well maintained cleaned & hygiene.Interior design is great. Big space for parking for bike, car, taxi & bus for tour at ground floor & first floor. Airport second & third floor for arrival departure facility for all kind of passenger's.

A very huge airport with excellent facilities. Very clean and well maintained airport with excellent amenities. Very good customer service and lot of options to shop inside this airport. The lounge inside the airport is very good but has very limited number of food options. One of the best and largest airports in Asia. The flights announcement is really good and friendly staff.

It has been quite a long time since I travelled to KL through KLIA 2. In some period it was pack sometimes it wasn't. Far from the city. Always need 1hr travel time to reach here at least. It was a big airport. I always reached earlier to avoid any unforeseen circumstances but yeah, can shop in here and eat before travel.

Was transiting from a domestic to an international flight at KLIA2 last week. Airport lounges and most eateries are closed temporary due to the pandemic (within the international transit area). Only 1 eatery selling "noodles" was operating, and not all items on the menu are available. So please do yourself a favour and try to exit the transit area if you can (I couldn't since I was on international transit, and they stamped my passport to indicate that I have exited Malaysia already). More food are available in the main departure area beyond transit. Other than that, the airport was in a great and clean condition with friendly and helpful staff. Looking for full travel to resume again so all the shops and amenities can be back in full swing.

One of the best airports in Asia, it's located a bit far from Kuala Lumpur city but the communication way is so good. It takes about 50-60 min to arrive in KL city from the airport. Thousands of people around the airport and immigration process are very smooth.

The airport is so clean and well-maintained. I stayed here for 6hr to waiting for my flight to Bali, Restroom - Restrooms are so maintained and well cleaned, In every 1hr bathroom is cleaned by the staff. Also, they provided a bathroom to handicapped people. Ambiance - The airport ambiance is so beautiful, and the view from the airport windows is so beautiful. Water - During my Bali visit, I found free water just only this airport. but the paper glass quality is so cheap I think cups are made with recycled plastic. Too many shops and food areas, I have purchased chocolates from one of the stores. The indoor metro is so fast and clean, its properly maintained by the authorities.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport is well-maintained and has a well-planned layout with clear signage. It's always helpful when airports are easy to navigate. Additionally, it's fantastic that the cleanliness of the restrooms is well taken care of. Clean and tidy facilities, especially restrooms, are crucial for a pleasant travel experience. The airport's diverse range of duty-free shops and boutiques also provides a variety of options to pass the time. Overall, Kuala Lumpur International Airport offers a positive experience with its cleanliness, efficient design, and diverse retail options.

It seemed to me that the airport was grand and expansive and a great engineering work with modern amenities, shops, fused with interiors and decors that are truly unique to Malaysia. With all the grandeur, there is one very important aspect of the airport that is neglected and left behind, and that is passenger convenience. I walked a kilometer distance from the time I dropped off from the bus to the final departure area. If it was exhausting and tiring for me, how much more for the elderly and handicapped? I noticed that the intention of the airport layout was to tire and make thirsty every passenger by walking no matter their physical condition to compel them to eat in restos and shops along the way, squeeze their money, force them to buy before boarding the plane. Hence the airport layout was more profit oriented without minding too much on passenger comfort and convenience. I suggest that from drop off point outside the airport, there will be an underground tramp or vehicle that will usher all passenger to the nearest possible point before the departure area. If smaller airports can do this, why not big, majestic and grandiose ones? So long.

One of a nice and comfort airport in South East Asia, but confusing especially when we check-in in different terminal then we should take airport train. The terminal 2 is nice with a lot of stores and restaurants just like a mall or maybe it is a mall as I saw a lot of people hanging out there. There available train and other transportation from/to airport and city, and this make an easier and cheaper alternative to those in taking the transportation.

It is definitely one of the busiest airport of South East Asia. Post the CoVid-19 pandemic, I noticed that many of the outlets that were closed due to the pandemic, have now been replaced by new ones. The airport slowly have started it's business as usual once again. One area in particular that has transformed was the foods outlet on level 2. Much better than before with much more selection to choose from.

This is a large and clean airport. This airport consists of two different parts that are connected by train. When you fly, be very careful not to go to the wrong terminal. The airport to the city center is approximately one hour by taxi. There are many shops to buy souvenirs, chocolates, perfumes, etc. The weakness of this airport is that there are not enough seats to sit. Of course, there are a number of cafes and restaurants.

KLIA has been a nice clean airport that gave a good feeling whenever I fly out or it. Sadly, this time it was rather empty due to the Covid restrcitions. Starbucks was open. Most other shops closed. And extremely few passengers.

We had an hour and a half between flights and made it through the airport. No problem coming through immigration, they did confiscate my scissors which should have been allowed but I didn't have the time to argue πŸ™„. Well signed, all good, toilets were good and clean. We spent more time here coming back, really nice airport, very friendly. It is a big airport, easy to get lost in.

A pretty good international airport overall. It’s fairly clean for the most part, has some good lounging areas, large food courts, and plenty of restrooms. Not a bad place to kill a few hours if you’ve got a transfer. Security is pretty easy for the most part, though international flights out of KLIA have security at the gate, which is quite unusual. I don’t have much to complain about, but I also don’t have anything to overly praise. One nice thing here is that the rail system comes directly into the airport, and can take you between terminals or into the city center of Kuala Lumpur. It’s somewhat similar to Chicago O’Hare International in Chicago, IL, USA in that regard.

It has been 3 yrs since I last visited. Still find the architecture amazing. Huge and very well maintained. Washrooms were clean but can be improved on the ventilation. Plenty of F&B outlets and retails. Window displays were beautiful too. It was nice to have water dispensers near the boarding gates. Also MAS was giving out door gifts for departing and arriving too. Not sure whether its just for a promotional period but we were happy to receive. Great service from the staff.

The biggest international airport in Malaysia. Well maintained the proper hygienic condition. Interior design is attractive and all terminals are inter connected by trains. Staffs at checking desk and boarding area are very strict and make sure your baggage weights are with the allowed limits. Nowadays airport looks like a dead airport at the night time. All shops are closed by evening time. It feels really uncomfortable if you have to stay longer time during dark hours as even most of vending machines are out of order or out of stocks..

KLIA 2 is really the territory of AirAsia. 🀭 You can spotted all "red" plane park alongside the track after your plane landing. The airport environment is clean & some say cozy πŸ˜‰ as the area is wide & bright. Since the desolate period due to Covid, currently entering the endemic, you can see the travel pace slowly recover when this place starts crowded with people all around the world. Upon arrival, although the airport is quite big, just follow the notice board to proceed to baggage collection. Everythings is simple & easy. If you are searching for food during lunch hour, there are a lot of choices from fast food such as Texas Chicken to different countries cuisine like Korean food. I ordered a kimchi fried rice from the Korean stall at the food court but was disappointed with its taste. The rice tastes super sour...... πŸ˜… Another complain, the food stall besides Korean stall, yong chow fried rice, photo showing 3 prawns but we only manage to find 1 little prawn hiding underneath the rice. What a typical β€œη…§ιͺ—”, means photo is just cheating. Before departure, remember to move to the side of the building & you can spot an outside smoking area. That is a great photo shooting place for some planes & the track. While entering the baggage check in area, there are lots of kiosk for baggage self check-in & really make travel more convenient & fast nowadays. Before entering the checking point, there are lots of shops for shopping & perhaps grabbing some souvenirs before leaving KL. Overall, after a few years I didn't come here, everything's still the same but you can notice the significant decrease in airport ground handling staff & mostly replace with machines such as baggage check in koisk. Last but not least, all the washrooms are clean & well maintained 🀭 this should as well an important place for traveller.

Loved it.. Seems new as before COVID-19. Small changes or rearrangement of shops.. More online kiosk of check in and more restaurant as well. You can spend time there approx few hours just like another malls. Parking expensive, I rather take shuttle bus from KL Sentral.

The immigration department works well and faster. Overall find better. And can be consider arrive for check in within two hours. Seems process is not complicated and not crowdy so no need to be hurry for check in. Happy Traveling 🌸

Malaysia's International airport has been in the limelight time and time again. It is a beautiful airport which is spacious but a little dark. The management needs to lower the rental and get more interesting shops inside here. MAHB really needs to change the entire team to revamp this. Gates are located at the right places, but not enough signage. I've been flying from here for over 20 years, and there's so much to be done. Hopefully, one day, Ε΅e will be like Singapore or Bangkok Airport.

The airport was pretty big. When we got to immigration the lines were short but very slow. It took us about 20 minutes with 15 people ahead of us. On the departure day the ticket counter was a bit messy before they opened but it got better after. Inside the terminal was empty and nice to walk. I was very impressed with the open garden that is like a jungle, the best thing is that you can walk through.

As it stands nothing in the airport is open. I can understand why everything was closed but if you want to continue to operate here instead of moving to KLIA1 then you should at least provide basic services to travelers. At 0930am there was 1 noodle Shop open with not even a conscience store operating. I could not even buy water before my flight. The entire Foodcourt is closed and boarded up as well as the rest of the stores below. What remains is an apple store, high end clothing and 1 half of a duty free shop.

I like this airport so much, one of their specials is the ambience. You could find many officers everywhere to ask for, or to get more information. All of them are fluent in english. Then over the immigration is friendly and faster than other country. I really recommend you all to visit or transit in this airport at least once in your travels.

Not busy as previous before Pandemic. But still every flight especially domestic always full and they have to open many counters for check in. Well organise of course, as this is one of the best international airport. This airport will sanitize and daily as I can smell and see. Great facilities of course. Both surau at international and domestic well maintain and clean. Toilets are super clean too. Always remember to on your My Sejahtera when you are here. Do double check your flight details, numbers and time to make sure you don't missed yours. We need to come together to play our part to make sure we don't regret later. Do our job to follow their standard procedure in this Pandemic time if you wish to travel again very soon.

So, my hundredth review. What better subject to pick than one of the most efficient airports in the world? Arrived from Jakarta. 15 minutes from plane to train (granted, business class, so, head start). 15 minutes wait for the train (modern, clean, AC). It doesn't get much better than this. The airport has free WiFi, comfortable seats, and clean washing rooms. All other mod cons also included, besides the ubiquitous brand shops. So, commendable.

Clean, friendly staff & quite convenient There's self check-in kiosks available all around the airport, travellers bringing check-in luggage can check-in your luggages there with your mobile device. If first time user for FACES in the AirAsia Super app, then you would need to let the staff at airport to scan your FACES QR code for later boarding used. And this is one time which your face would be saved permanently.

Less crowded these days due to restricted travelling. If you are flying Domestic or International during this times, I would suggest to check in online and head to the airport few hours earlier as they are a few more checkpoints before you reach your boarding gate.

Malaysia International Airport terminal. is a nice airport. You must board a bus to get to immigration when your foreign flight lands at the airport in Malaysia. From there, you must exit to pick up your bags at the belt and then proceed to the exit gate. If you have to board an international flight while in Malaysia, there are departure gates. Once you have a boarding card and have passed immigration, you can enter the airport freely. However, there is a security check for your boarding pass and bag check-in is at the gate. The majority of duty-free shops, including those selling perfume and chocolate, are located inside the airport in a gorgeous, branded showroom.

My experience was nice with both arrival and departure. The processes are smooth if you have all your documents prepared. However, it’ll be great to know your stuff well before arriving at the airport. Passengers are not directed by staff and it might surprise you to find spots with no personnel around to ask for any information. For departure (international), it’s great to check in online or arrive with your documents for self check in at the booths. The assisted check-ins seem might not be available at dawn. You can do self-luggage dropping and check-in at the provided screens simply.

This is the 1st time I visited KL airport very early in the morning. It’s a big airport. Check in and check out is very smooth. The security check in is also smooth. Water not allowed through security check in so you can drink it and inside again you can fill the bottle. For transit at least 1 and half hour is good. Otherwise you have to run. It’s really big.

Much bigger than i remembered. The airport has all the new facilities. I had a small time frame to move to my next flight due to a flight delay. so i had to run through the airport. Not a very busy airport from the times I've been there. Just that you need to be well aware of which gate your flight is at, as some require you to take a train or bus to the other side of the terminal which will take some time. Other than that, you can easily find staff on duty who are roaming around the airport to assist you anytime you're I need of it. Highly recommend heading to the G gates area to rest if you're on a long transit, and dont intend to check into their transit hotel. They also have power sockets everywhere so you don't have to worry about having to head to a cafe to charge your devices.

This review is only for terminal 2, where I took an Air Asia flight. The airport feels old and neglected compared to the terminal 1. There is a small mall before entering security, where you can find few hotels, shops and restaurants. Some open until late but not many. After security forget of everything because all your food and shopping options are very limited. The walking distances are insane. If you are late and need to run, you are screwed. Many of the electric bands were not working at the time I was there. The hallways next to the gates are narrow, feel old and there are very few seating options. My other complain is that you need to pay 2MYR to move between terminals ! It should be free moving between terminals.

Helpful and friendly AirAsia crew, and 24/7 Starbucks - yay. That’s just the outside. Once inside, it’s super spacious and clean. Lots of shops, options; and chairs and resting places. Restrooms are clean and there’s free water by Coway. Paper cups and all are ready and the machines functions well for cold and hot water. I like the chairs that are designed for us to lay back and take a nap - it’s also wide and comfy to just rest while waiting for our flight. Fly with AirAsia!
