It's an okay hotel. Too expensive for what it is. No AC or heating in the room. I went during summer times and the room is just sooooo hot, it's unbearable. And I particularly have had two issues. First, my card was invalid and couldn't enter my room. Because there is no staff in the hotel, I had to wait until someone would come to solve the issue. The same happened with a colleague. They clearly don't have a consistent process to registering cards. Then, my TV remote control was out of juice. Because there is no staff, there's not much I could do either.

As a Canadian, I have come to expect nothing but superlative products and services from German companies. Hotel am Engelberg certainly did not disappoint in any way, shape or form. Clean, quiet, safe and an overall terrific place to rest during my business trip.

Fine little room with all you need in a hotel when traveling alone. Good resturent next door. Decently cleaned. My problem is the noice. The radiator was dripping/running alle night, really high and the contact in the hallway was clicking all night as well. Made it hard to sleep.

I stayed twice in this hotel and I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are really spacious and perfectly furnished and designed for the people those who are in the area for work visit. They provide all the necessary facilities including breakfast which is not expensive if you compare it with the variety of options in the menu. I am happy to recommend the place to the people and believe me your stay will be comfortable.

It is a comfortable hotel that satisfys all the needs of a traveller. The thing I personallly like is the possibility do do the check in by youself without having to respect the reception hours of opening.

Nice hotel, rooms are very comfortable, clean. No noises around the hotel, good to make a rest. Restauran in the hotel also is very good with tasty food offer. General feeling very nice.

Even just for one night i did enjoy my stay at this hotel. People were very friendy and nice. My room was very comfortable and sparkling clean. The breakfast in the morning very well organized and yummy. I will be back for sure at this hotel next time in the area.

Just an overnight stay, arrived late. Good location, close to the motorway. However, as the windows didn't close tightly, the was some traffic noise, coming through to the room. The room was good, quite spacey for a single bed. Nice size bathroom too. Nice breakfast, at an extra, but very fair cost. All in, good value for money

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in, no service, poorly ventilated rooms, and very very dirty everywhere and not just the hotel room.

Very clean, modern and minimalist hotel. Friendly, warm reception with English-speaking staff. Gym is not well-equipped, but had enough of the basics to carry out a basic workout; €10 deposit or passport required for access (recommend checking the gym times online, as sometimes opens at 7, sometimes at 9!). Breakfast was poor for the price, only bread and cold cuts with no eggs etc. available.
