We loved our stay here. The owners are remarkable. The accommodation is perfect. The room was super clean and has everything you need including fridge, microwave and wifi. The cleaning staff did an excellent job keeping our room clean and our beds warm and cosy. They arranged an iron and ironing board for us without us asking. They noticed our work shirt hanging up and surprised us with iron and board after a long day at work. The owner is incredibly kind and has put so much attention to detail in her guest house to make sure her guests are comfortable and cared for. Thank you Carol and family and team for a beautiful stay in Klerksdorp.

Very basic and my room was very small. Competition in that area is very high and nothing stands out here. Everything was functional and clean. The host was very accommodating.

The service is friendly and helpful. I even received a headlamp to use during loadshedding. The parking is safe and it is located close to town. It was within walking distance from where I needed to be during the day. They don't prepare meals but there is restaurants within walking distance. You feel safe as the rooms is tucked away behind the main house. The room is adequately sized with a bed, TV, bar fridge, microwave, Zink, bathroom (shower only) and a place to put your books and the like (you can work there if you like sitting uncomfortable). The bed is comfortable and the the bedding looked after. A few things though: 1. I don't see this as a guest house but rather a room to rent, as you only have use of your room and a parking spot. No real contact (other than a few administrative words) with the owner / manager. They are very friendly though. 2. Their curtains is white and very light so all light comes through. The kitchen area and bathroom windows only have lace curtains so it doesn't keep light out. I for one do need a dark room to sleep well. So this is a big issue for me. 3. The lack of a proper place to eat (if you decide to rather buy something or even breakfast - no eating on the bed allowed) also created unease and an unpleasant experience. 4. Except for the area under the TV there is no place to sit, relax or work. I drive around giving training and I need space to prepare and even mark papers during the night. After a long day on your feet you want to just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with a risk in a comfy chair. A bed is for sleeping not relaxing. Overall the experience was good and I felt safe, although I didn't sleep well or didn't have a place to relax or eat. I also like to "come home" and enjoy a pleasant chat and a good meal and not have to drive around again in a place I don't know looking for dinner. If you are looking for place to sleep and don't worry about all the points I mentioned then this is a good place to sleep over. They are well priced and located.

Its okay, but cramped. The room was cold, after a long day we came back to cold water and struggled again in the morning with hot water. Towels need to be replaced they are not white anymore

A safe environment, the room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff members and the owner is so friendly, kind and helpful! Safe car parking. We enjoyed our stay there.

Nice, neat facilities. Owner very friendly and helpful. Problems with wi-fi. Bathroom a tad small. The only truly pet-friendly accommodation in Klerksdorp-Stilfontein-Orkney area that I could find! Will visit them again.

While doing contract work i searched among many guesthouses in Klerksdorp. I came accross Alte Welkom and after the first night I knew I would only stay at Alte Welkom. The Owners are great people and the stay in value for money. The rooms are neat and great. I recommend this guesthouse to everyone

I had a nice stay with friendly owners, my request was also met that after running I can go n refresh n take my time. And the place is closer to where the race was going to take place. Next year I might take my family.

The guest house was very clean...The surrounding area was quiet...The guest house was safe, no need to worry about your car..All that was not right was that there was no hot water in our bathroom...Apart from the hot water issue it was worth the money to stay there and would like to stay there again when I'm in Klersdorp..The wifi is activated but the wifi does not work.
