Today, 30th September 2020, I decided to buy some sushi for my family and biltong (extremely good quality). As a frequent customer, I expected the usual service from these departments. Little to my knowledge, I was burdened with an uptight, rude and narcissistic owner who did not have the time of day to deal with my queries because he was too busy serving customers. The biltong was visually marked at R199-00/kg, however on the packaging price, it marked up to R208-00/kg. When I raised this query with the deli manager, they instantly changed the price infront of me, and requested that I pay the higher price for the product. Appalled at the outcome, I approached the owner for a resolution. His attitude towards me was that of a frustrated old man, who just seemed money hungry. In addition to that, he told me to go someplace else if I was not happy. Is this the sort of quality service that is paying customers can expect? Frustrated and shocked at the bad service, I educated the employees at this Doringkruin Spar that customer is king and no consumer should be challenged with these issues. The consumer protection act is there for a reason. This is the last day that this spar will ever steal my money and time. Watch out fellow consumers! Make sure you check your receipts for what you pay for! Day light robberies occur even in well established places such as Spar.

Absolutely terrible... was asked if I was mad to think that a product that was incorrectly labeled could be so cheap... this done by the owner himself. Advising him to check the shelve led to further arguments from his side to the point where I called him out for being unprofessional... his respons "you are unprofessional!" - dear owner, are you paying me to be a "professional customer"? No thank you, he could have just said sorry there was a mistake and leave it there. When raising my dismay his son, inboxed me on facebook asking whether it was "really necessary", whether it makes my "heart happier"..."especially on Christmas"... saying "that's so sad". This is not how you deal with customers in store or manage a grievance afterwards.

The manager is a rude SOB. For more than a year I have been getting bonemeal from them. Just before Christmas he decided to throw it out instead. I dont support them anymore, I was there with a friend but will not support them.

From the moment you enter Spar Doringkruin and Tops, you encounter a wow customer experience. Staff is friendly and helpful, always packing the freshest and best quality products on the selves. You get much more than you bargained for. I'm taking the longer route, buy its worthwhile. Thank you to Ilidio, Jena and Alex, where I feel like family.

It's an ordinary store, well kept, well stocked with everything required of them, difference is that it's very down to earth with nice people :D

Missing fast food meals freshly made. Spar cold meats and viennas not in Stock. Staff very Friendly needs a Good proper Floor manager checking stock an expiry dates.
