An Iraqi friend brought me to this place. I have never tried Iraqi food before and would not be able to distinguish the origins of each Arabic food I have tried. For example, the salad tabouleh is consumed in Dubai and Doha. It is also served in this Iraqi restaurant. I am guessing the food in Middle East is similar but distinct in each of the country's way. The lamb rice is similar to a mendi rice but different because it does not come with a salsa-like condiment or a sauce to go with it. Instead it has slivers of aromatic almond to garnish it complimenting the fluffy rice and lamb. The other dish is red sauce based where the bread soaks up the sauce. This I would consider special as I have not seen this elsewhere. This may be a typical Iraqi dish. I like this as the flavour is appetising yet not overpowering. It was a great experience.

We had the BEST EXPERIENCE trying Iraqi cuisine for the first time at this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed. The menu had pictures and also written in English so it was very helpful. The food presentation was exactly the same as the picture and we were blown away by the exotic flavors after taking a first bite. Every dish we ordered was DELICIOUS including the desserts. We will definitely come back again! Thank you for a fantastic service.

What i can say. One of the best middle east food near to KLCC. The ambiance is very calm even though beside main road. The food portion is big. For Malaysian, you can share with 3 peoples for 1 dish. The food quality is magnificent. Recommended πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

Top notch food quality! Excellent flavors, authentic Iraqi restaurant. The pickles are very very good. The kebab is truly tasty. For the kibbeh we tried the mixed platter to taste most of them. We clearly took too much food but it was worth it to try them all.

I regret that for the past couple of years, I would just pass by this restaurant (as it's in the same area as my workplace). Thanks to the heavy rain, my friend and I got to dine here. All the reviews I saw were accurate -- the place was great (interiors was superb!); food was delicious and portion was huge for just one person; and the staff are all wonderful people! My friend and I felt so full, tummy and soul. Thanks so much! More power to your business.

It’s my fifth time here and every single time the food has been so delicious and the service has always been so friendly- for sure my favourite place for Middle Eastern food in KL!

No major complains but everything was mediocre. Food is edible, that said, I would not go back. The meats were all over salted, not tender. The hummus was quite bland. Service staff were nice, but generally slow. Overall, disappointing given the high reviews and expectations that came with it. One of my favourite cuisines and this place doesn’t do it justice.

It's the first time for me trying Iraqi food, and I am very happy that I got to do it at Samad. The food was amazing. I tried 3 different dishes and all were delicious. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated, some ambient music yet very quiet. I was attended to by Zahra who was really nice and helpful. I don't stay long in KL, but will try to return before leaving. Highly recommended.

Nice place and food. Friendly staff. I also appreciated the smell of frankincense. My sea bass was overcooked and dry. The service is a bit chaotic in general. I wish the staff was knowledgeable about the food the restaurant offers. Our female server was just taking orders but couldn’t answer questions about food. I expect from a restaurant staff to know the food options and be able to make recommendations and to help people have a good experience and not just take orders.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious Arab food! The bread was one of the best I've had, light and doughy. they nailed all the bread dishes. Tender lamb. Flavorful lentil soup starter. The crispy roll dessert was very nice. The stuffed creme inside has a hint of mochi-like flavor and texture. RM$100 total, but it's indeed a quality meal.

We had a quick lunch here after a friend had recommended it. Complimentary soup and tea, we had the chicken sandwich, hummus and fantastic traditional bread. We will be back again when we have more time and to try the shisha outdoors.

The food at this place is amazing. We’ve been here twice and all the food we tasted was amazing. From the mixed appetizers, to the grill meets, the salads and deserts, the food is very tasty, made with high quality ingredients. The service is top notch and the prices very affordable. We will definitely come back here again. Definitely my favorite restaurant in KL so far.

I rarely write restaurant reviews, but I feel compelled to write one for this exceptional restaurant. The food was exceptional and the menu was fantastic, offering a wide range of delicious options. I particularly enjoyed the fresh and well-prepared dishes that I ordered. The restaurant was very clean, which added to the overall dining experience. The hostess and waitress were friendly and professional, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and I have plans to return with my wife and friends. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would definitely visit again. If you're looking for a restaurant with fantastic food, great service, and a clean and inviting atmosphere, then this is the place for you.

Splendid experience dining in the restaurant. Authentic interior deco and arrays of Iraqi cuisine to die for. So many different types of dips ( hummus, baba ganoush, beetrootetc), salads, main dish like dolma and of course freshly baked bread. Not to mention fresh lemonade wt mint.

The staff members were so friendly and inviting. The food was excellent. Just note that 1 dish is for sharing between 2-4 people because the portion is so big. The dessert was so good. I would recommend the Kunafa as seen in the picture I have included. Overall a very nice dining experience.

Service here was devastating. Not a single time was our food served gently rather it was just about dropped on the table. The food was very bland and underwhelming. The mince kebab had a strong lamb smell to it due to the fact it was under marinated and maybe not the greatest quality lamb used. Generally speaking, under seasoned and bland food. The bread was not great either. Terrible angry servers, bland food. I’m surprised with the ratings.

The staff were so lovely and accommodating, even went out of the way to celebrate the birthday of my daughter. The prices were reasonable for the quality and presentation of food - portions were huge and service was amazing. We were given complimentary free flow bread and lentil soup/pickles, plus Arabic black tea. Wait staff were polite and full of smiles. Enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would visit again! Would recommend to share dishes and celebrating important occasions here! Thank you!

Wow. What a feast! You could make a meal just off of the mixed vegetables. We had the chicken kebab and the Iraqi chicken, and both were incredible. The interior is beautiful. Everyone with whom we interacted was very amicable. This was quite a treat! We are very glad we came here, although we stuffed ourselves so much with the delicious food that it will be difficult to make it to our apartment without stopping somewhere to nap. Please come here, and come here hungry!

The food was great. They started us with complimentary lentil soup and bread, and then brought out our meals. The portions were pretty big. They have a lot of helpful staff and it seems like they speak many languages here. Hafsa was very kind and patient with us when we were ordering. Food was delicious!

The food is delicious and great just the environment is warm not cold. Maybe because its in the end corner. The staff is very friendly and very good to do birthday party here as the staff joined to and they even do a surprise which they close light and sang birthday song together. How cool is that. the decoration is fantastic, feel really in Iraq or arab country. the service is very good..excellent. The food overall for me taste good, the bread is very soft n not chewy. french fries is very good, hotel rated. For Kibbeh, sorry to say, not to my liking, its bland, no taste. And the one looks like popiah, inside is cabonara taste but with sesame, it doesn't goes well. Chicken with rice and the beef maqlobah.. the chicken n beef is very tender n juicy. Not dry. The rice, yes very delicious. Taste very delicious, Hotel rated. Muttabal very delicious, the texture is perfect. Lastly is the Lentil added with rice πŸ€” i cant comment much on the food. i will come again to try on other dishes which i havent try. The tea aromatic is strong. Is good for cooling down and digest after eating a meal. best take without sugar. The taste still nice. another review please review under Soffarina.

I had the pleasure of dining at Samad Al Iraqi Restaurant recently, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service that set the tone for the entire afternoon. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant are simply stunning. It effortlessly combines traditional and modern elements, creating a welcoming and elegant ambiance that transports you to another world. It's the kind of place where you can have an intimate dinner or a lively celebration, and it never fails to impress. Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish we tried was a culinary masterpiece, but the standout was undoubtedly the Samak Masgoof. This char-grilled whole fish was a revelation. It was tender, perfectly cooked, and bursting with authentic flavors that danced on the palate. The presentation was artful, showcasing the chef's dedication to not only taste but also visual appeal. Samad Al Iraqi Restaurant is a true gem that captures the essence of Iraqi cuisine with finesse. The quality and authenticity of their dishes are truly remarkable, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional food and an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to return and savor their culinary delights once more.

very beautiful interior decoration and genuine food, loved it! But if you are not familiar with Turkish food, it’s sour sometimes, so better ask them first. We had grape leaf for cold appetizer, and dolma for main, both are sour, and Turkish coffee has a strong hint not quite like usual coffees, but I definitely love the mixed grill plate! And they give us soup and one plain naan for free :) thank you

An excellent Arabic restaurant servicing varieties of delicious Arabic cousins. We like the atmosphere and the way the restaurant is designed. The Food is very delicious and tasty with good varieties. Staff are friendly and caring. Prices are high average, yet the quality and taste of the food deserves it. They also serve free soup and fresh Arabic bread, and tea. Absolutely one of the best Arabic restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.

Pro - Food is generously portion - complimentary lentil soup and bread - eggplant and pomegranate salad tasted divine - thank you for the free hot tea, to end the sumptuous meal - the team are warm and courteous - not too crowded after 2pm on weekends - easy open parking across the road Cons - There’s no sink to wash your hands, but they do provide wet wipes for you as alternative - food portion is big, for smaller tummies, order to share

Great cozy atmosphere. The complimentary beans soup was delicious. Visited during Friday dinner hours, nearly full house. Foods was just OK, a bit dry. Staff services have room for improvement, as they basically have no idea what to recommend and barely response to queries about the foods taste and portion.

It was also a culinary experience to taste all the exquisite Arabian food. The staffs are all friendly. So if you are considering to book the place for medium size private event, i would highly recommend this restaurant. The interiors are stunning. Perfect for pictures

Samad Al Iraqi is an exquisite example of Iraqi food! Coming from a small US city, I don't think I've ever had an opportunity to try. We had more than enough food to share and even with everything, starting off with a complimentary lentil soup is such a nice touch. I don't know what I had exactly, but mixed appetizer is lovely, fatoush salad, and two types of lamb. One had bread and the other had baba ganoush. Try everything! Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. On top of that the presentation was exemplary and the service was very kind. Cheers!
