I haven't been so can't say what it's like but would like to say to everyone out there who likes these types of places for the amount of money spent and been spent on this one it should be open every day historical England should make it a clause before handing over the thousands of pounds (hundreds of)so I've been reading and to the owner don't be so tight get it open every day and like a visitor says on charge £2 entry and more will come press like if you agree and I will pester owner for more opening hours

I took the boys, 3 & 7, for an afternoon walk here. They loved exploring the paths and woods, especially through the craggs and rhododendron, climbing rocks and finding secret spots to sit for a drink. It's a beautiful outdoor place with a lake to walk around. Take cash for the car park, £3.50 per adult, £2.50 for children / OAP. No cafe so take your own refreshments. I'd recommend good shoes as there are a couple of steep climbs and of course if you want to scramble the rocks.

£5 each adult entry fee and parking. A nice walk around rocks towards the lake, some of the rocks have high drops. A lovely hidden little place and well worth a look around. No facilities...

Lovely little walk and a great place to explore the unusual rocks and manmade lake. For £5 entry could do with having facilities, would definitely go back as a great place for a picnic on a summer's day.

It's £5 entry for 16 and over only, meaning it is great value if you have lots of kids! There is plenty of parking inside, along with areas for picnics. The lake and rocks look spectacular, and are worth taking some time exploring, rather than just walking the loop of the lake. There's lots to explore, but definitely not wheelchair or pushchair friendly. Dog allowed of course.

Really nice place for visiting and leisure. It is good for families with children, not good for families with baby in pram, it is better to choose sling or carrier, because of waking path ups and downs, between rocks and muddy leaf litter. You can fishing or make picnic. Ticket for adults 3,5£ but for 5 person car you paid 10£.

Absolutely stunning location and a lovely walk! And is dog friendly. Rated 3 stars due to the a few reasons. The walking routes are not clearly marked however there is a map but we didn’t find this until the end. You can see where others have walked but there are no “paths” so not mobility friendly at all. £10 entry (£5 per person ) kids are free. I understand this contributes to the up keep of the area however every bin was over flowing…there are zero facilities once you are there….the car park isn’t great on wet days it just felt some what over priced. They DO NOT TAKE CARDS it’s cash only on entry so we had to leave to find a cash machine (Sainsbury’s towards Harrogate is the nearest) Would be nice to see a few picnic benches and some signage on the routes

Great place to explore, went on the most autumn days and it was really nice to explore. Better than Brimham rocks in my opinion, children would love it.

It is very scenic however charging £5 per adult is madness. There's no sort of facilities there, half the area is not accessible due to being overgrown and there's no signage for walking routes.

Such a beautiful place for a picnic, this natural nature reserve is a wonderful beautiful spot which it great for children and big children to explore. It's great to see no litter about or any poo bags. The only thing that lets it down is the £5 per adult, it's too expensive. It should be £5 per car really as it's just a walk. I also wish the lake was in use and you could hire small boats out or even i could just paddle board on there. Now that would be worth £6 per adult :)

Please be aware, this places costs £5 PER AUDULT! there's no indication of the charge until you're at the entrance. The car park is very "hit and miss" as you end up just parking where ever you can. In terms of the rocks, they're interesting and worth seeing, but not enough in my opinion to warrant the cost they're charging. There's no marked out routes, and you simply have to wander around, without really knowing where you're going. I have to question what the entry charge is for, and there appears to be zero outlay from an upkeep perspective. Also, please be aware that parts can be VERY steep. I saw a couple of pensions pay to enter and quickly gave uo as they were physically unable to do anything. Overall, I personally wouldn't recommend, as the cost isn't worth it.

A short but beautiful and relaxing walk, with lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore. NB, plan for a toilet stop elsewhere.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful old estate turned into a wild park, has something fairy-like. (Original) Prachtig oud landgoed veranderd in een verwilderd park, heeft iets sprookjesachtig.

Beautiful scenary. A hidden gem. Plenty of places to enjoy a picnic. Wonderful to walk freely around the grounds. No facilities including toilets.

A beautiful and intriguing, unspoilt natural playground that needs to be treated with respect for safety.

  • 2/5 Valerie A. 1 year ago on Google
Not for the faint hearted - or the unfit (me!) Pretty when the sun shines. Terrain a bit hard going in places with steep inclines and sudden drops. There are warning signs about the drops, and the deep water, but it could do with some route markers so you know you are on the right and most appropriate path. There are no 'facilities' here

  • 3/5 Amanda G. 1 year ago on Google
It's OK. Cash only, nearest cash machine is in Harrogate, which was a huge hassle. Rocks are interesting but rest of it is similar to Roundhay Park or Temple Newsam, but not as well maintained. Dogs are only allowed on a lead, which our Spaniel was not happy about. No facilities at all, although it is only £5 per adult.

Very nice place. Like forgotten secret garden. Good for families. Not so good for prams. Highly recommend. Plenty of space for a picnics. Kids under 16 free.

  • 4/5 MesonW 11 months ago on Google
It's a nice place to walk around, but not really sure why it should cost a fiver per adult, as it isn't that large and there's not really anything much for them to maintain. However there is some lovely wildlife to see along with the rocky side of the lake. Seeing a swan chasing a duck along the length of the water was entertaining, and there are some very large fish lurking under the lilly pads.

This place is a real surprise, we were expecting some kind of scaled down Brimham Rocks, but this place is so much more beautiful. I would recommend bringing a picnic blanket if you plan on having a chill out or a picnic as there are no picnic tables. But other than that, it’s amazing.

Drove an hour to get here to find it was closed. Poor show. Very blunt rude sign on the gate which wasn't very welcoming which is a real shame as it looks like a beautiful spot

Web site, automatic phone service, and sign at venue say open at weekend until end of October. But it actually closes in September. Very frustrating as we had travelled from Preston to see. Local neighbours also told us site is under restoration .

    Lovely place.

  • 3/5 Dav N. 4 years ago on Google
£3.50 per entry and you get a pound off next visit. It's just a bunch of rocks beside a small lake. £2 entry is enough for a place like this!!! then more people might actually go. Needs more information points in and around the rocks and more bins might actually stop people throwing their dog bags into the bushes.

Nice walking route with family. Car park charges are per person rather than per car. £3.50 per adult and £2.50 per child.

  • 3/5 Gavin A. 4 years ago on Google
Not a lot to see for £3.50 per person. A quick walk around the lake and that's it. Only open weekends and bank holidays.
