Gorgeous and huge cocktails for a great price! Highly recommend and will definitely be back if in the area again. Great atmosphere too.

Midweek meal 10th Feb 22. Bad service. Staff lacked politeness and basic people skills. Less than average quality food. We were not offered dessert but when we asked for it we were told the kitchen was closed. So bad.No peppercorn sauce so we were offered another type and then told they were out of that too. A total shambles. Waiter dropped a tray and shouted f*** at the top of his voice. Staff more occupied with entertaining each other than providing any kind of service. Really dreadful experience. If anyone there had vaguely resembled a manager we would have asked for our money back.

Went here for dinner as it was my brother's birthday. The staff was very good and we arrived just before the dinner rush. So make sure you book in advance. They have got a wide selection of food, incl vegan menu. Food arrived very quickly and it was delicious. Would definitely come here more often

Been here quite a few times.... Always been fantastic. This time however (11th March) the food was inadequate and service wasn't the best. I told the waitress about the burger and very much lack of bacon/food/chips, nothing happened and she just walked away giving me a funny look. Burger was not a restaurant burger at all, was very much a simple burger I could've made nicer at home. Saying this has bacon in too is a bit rich. Admittedly, I had a bite out of the burger and ate a tiny of the bacon but this is terrible. There was 10 of us out. The others had steak, when asked if the food was okay. The others did joke and say, can we have the other half of our dinners as the portions this time round are incredibly small. With a couple of drinks each, we spent nearly £50pp. Which is extremely expensive for the amount of food we were served. This really sucks as we always love coming to this place and last time I gave it a 5 star and have recommend a lot of people to come here.

Great to find a modern dining pub that offers really good service and an interesting selection of food on the menu at reasonable prices. Air conditioning was most welcome on the hottest UK day ever... We arrived early but were given a warm welcome and shown to a table. Once the kitchen opened the service was pretty rapid. Food was of a good quality and well prepared. The ONLY reason this isn't a five-star review is that duck figures substantially in the menu but was "off" for our visit - we were only informed of the lack of duck after having tried to order some.

My lunch was fine, my wife though had a cold burger. She asked for it to be warmed up, waited 15 minutes then we asked for the bill. At that point we were told it was ready. Better communication would have been great. She had asked for it to be reheated, that shouldn't have taken so long. If a new one was being made then that could have been communicated, along with the approximate waiting time.

Great service, great menu, food cooked to perfection. Very welcoming and helpful staff, could not ask for more. Steak was succulent and tender, fish .. mmmmm total delight. Thank you all again. Just had a birthday treat there today, a Chateaubriand, scallops, prawns and two very tasty treats! Kayleen was an exceptional waitress. 'til next time!! Went there again on our way home form Wales, same tremendous food and service!

Stopped for coffee, after a stroll around town. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.

Positives: Good food on the whole, with the exception of the sprouts, which were absolutely rock solid. The venue itself is a charming place with character. Bar staff were fantastic. Negatives: Missed one person for the first course. We had to request another plate of food. Service was so rushed, we had to ask for a break in-between courses. It almost felt like we were being pushed out the door as quick as possible. With a few exceptions the waiting staff seemed miserable, but I must stress a few were lovely and attentive. Parsnips missing from my main meal (sadly I love them). Definitely not worth £95 per head.

Every time we come to Royal Saracens Head, it is a great experience overall. The service is usually very good, and there are lots of different food & drink options on the menu- there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is relaxed with nice lighting, and it's one of those places you could either dress up or dress down and either would fit. Side note: definitely try the Mac & cheese - it's so good!

Totally worth a visit and once tried you will return time upon time! Went the first time a few weeks ago and made a return trip to check this was a real hidden gem and not simply a spectacular first impression that fails to impress on closer attention....I was not disappointed; this place has wonderful food, and the staff both times have been lovely, welcoming, proffesional and simply make you feel at ease and in good hands. Service was brilliant, manager AJ is a welcoming and charming host, our server Issy was able to assist with allergies as I have anaphylaxis to certain things. Both times enjoyed 3 amazing courses and will be returning soon to work my way through the menu as quite frankly food this good deserves to be well and truly enjoyed and shared!

Brilliant atmosphere ! Drinks are good and fairly priced ! Police turned up but staff done there best . There was a very strong smell in there and need a few windows open but it was a Saturday night so I can’t complain! I will be coming back again one day for food as it looked amazing

We were a group of 11 people. We waited more than 40 minutes to place our food order - and that only happened because I went and told the waiter we wanted to order. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed it. We sat for more than four hours - NOT ONCE did anyone from the service personnel come to our table and ask if we were ok or whether we would like further drinks. Again the waiter was fetched and informed that we wished to order dessert and coffees. The coffees took more than 30 minutes to arrive. On both occasions, I did not get the impression that the restaurant was full. The young man who served us was pleasant and friendly - he just lacked basic training. The fact that he gave me a QR code when paying and said he'd welcome feedback made it clear that he was completely unaware of how truly poor the service had been. I worked for almost 10 years in hospitality when I was younger - including in management positions. The fact of the matter is that these young people didn't even have the most basic of training IMHO. No overview, no pro-active service, no interim checking on guests' needs or checking that everything is in order with the food. And I don't think I have ever sat for four hours in any establishment without an enquiry as to whether more drinks or food might be welcome ! It didn't spoil our enjoyment of the great food and the ambience - we were a group of old school friends re-uniting after many years, so that our attention was taken elsewhere. I just find it a shame that the staff didn't do justice to the establishment - and that, in my opinion, is a failure of the management to provide even the most basic training - and I suspect the final bill could have been considerably more!

Had valentines lunch here. Kayla was brilliant as our server, very attentive and kind. I had the lamb which was cooked as I like and the accompaniments tasted fantastic. Only gave it four because the prawns were not what I *thought* they would be (but I still ate it all) my husband and son enjoyed their meals also

As a regular diner I was very disappointed with our seating. I was treating my 92 year old mother and we were put in the upper part of the restaurant which was cold and then you offer some blow heaters in that area. There was no atmosphere what’s so ever as the next diners arrived 45 mins later so we were basically echoing our voices . We asked to move and was declined as the tables were linked to the orders. The meal Scallops although cooked nicely were a bit fishy! Traditional turkey. The pig in blanket tasted bland as if. Broiled The sausage meat wrapped in bacon was small with no real flavour. The turkey was tough and chewy The cabbage with peas was undercooked. Brussels spouts we’re so undercooked. Which suggested frozen You may question if we complained we did however we the reality was it’s a very busy time and we may of received a similar meal experience. We were very disappointed which is such a shame on a festive occasion. The manager although very pleasant clearly had his hands tied in the day! We respect the whole try’s to make an effort but on this occasion it did meet our usual culinary experience.

We had a fantastic time for a 50th birthday party. We hired the private room and our waitress Phoebe was brilliant, nothing was ever too much. She was very kind and friendly. Even offered to help us take down the decorations at the end of the night after her shift finished!

Had a great family lunch. The roast chicken was really good and shared 3 deserts with my cousin - cheesecake, chocolate bomb & the meringue were all top. They explained their coffee machine was broken which was fine but the hot drinks they served were sadly all tepid. But that didn't detract from a great Sunday lunch and the service was really good for a large group.

We had such a lovely meal here, the food was superb. Our waitress Julia couldn’t have been more helpful - she is a real asset to your team! We will definitely be coming back soon!

Loved the whole experience!! Drinks were cheap and the staff were some of the friendliest I have ever seen in a pub. A new favourite for sure. My staffers were Julia and Kayla and they were absolutely wonderful. highly recommend

Lovely atmosphere very nice place to sit and have a meal with the family. The food was divine the pan-roasted lamb rump was cooked to perfection and the service was superb waitress was very good and made the experience very inviting. Would recommend to all the family and definitely come back again soon.

Valentine's Day special menu. Delicious food. Baked camembert, followed by rib eye steak and chocolate brownie for dessert. Staff are lovely, atmosphere was perfect. Food was excellent value for money.

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday in the private restaurant area today. All the guests were hugely impressed with the standard of service, delicious food and general atmosphere. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Thank you for making this day such a special one. A special thanks to the staff who looked after us today, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Had a lovely meal here! We were given lovely friendly service by our server Janna, all was prompt and in a timely manner. The food was delicious! The beef with the roast was very tender and when I asked for more gravy it wasn’t an issue and they bought over a good amount rather than little pots that I kept having to ask for more (I love gravy). The only thing was that we ordered coffee with dessert and the coffees came about 10 mins after the desserts and the coffees weren’t that hot. Overall it was a great meal out and I will be returning!

Celebrating a recent birthday, we were so impressed with Jack and Flo on their attention to us and the amazing help we received on making our lunch choices. Fantastic atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. The lamb platter was cooked to perfection.

Had a fantastic Mother’s Day Lunch today. From the minute we entered the Restaurant the staff were all amazing. The food on the special menu was a great mix. The food was well presented and tasted great. Thank you to all the staff for making our lunch that much better.

this place is nice but I'm not sure about the food I ordered a chicken carvery roast from here about 2 weeks ago and I think they left my plate under a heat lamp for a while my Yorkshire pudding was cracking like a biscuit, my gravy was warm and my chicken was dried out. I can imagine that if I'd of got the food fresh it would have been lovely as my partners pork was cooked well and tasted so nice.

Sunday dinner. Restaurant was moderately busy then quiet, we changed between four different servers and our orders of basic tap water were always forgotten, had to ask three times just to get a jug! The restaurant was very quiet towards the end of the meal and the servers were sat on the computer and ignoring us. I found the roast beef to be over cooked and tough.

March 2022: Pretty good Mothers Day meal: Staff where busy, but good service once we where moved to a suitable sized table to accommodate our group. Enjoyed the set menu Duck Parfait, Roast Pork Belly. Though my partners Chocolate Brownie was 5/5 in comparison to the 4/5 for the Rum Baba. The bar area looks a nice comfy area, with open fire for a drink.

Had an amazing valentines day here! The food was delicious! We had Soli as our server and he was so lovely and very attentive. We had a good laugh with him. Thank you all :) x
