My favorite place to eat in Knoxville. Family run and the owners are incredibly charismatic and friendly. The food is authentic and beyond scrumptious. I highly recommend the Crab Rangoon, Fried Noodles, and Stir Fry Veggies!

I’m not from the area so I just googled to know where to eat good food. Then this restaurant pops up and I have to say that it does not disappoint. I visited them several months ago but decided to go back and leave a 5 star review because the food is recurring on my head. I just remember how good it is and wish there’s one that’s good in my city. I had their larb and papaya salad. Everything is cooked right, their beef is fresh and juicy. The papaya salad is flavorful with multiple ingredients melting in your mouth. One thing I have to note is that it’s very spicy! I was confident that I could handle the spicy food well but their spicy level is maybe one level above what you expected, so make sure to start conservatively with the spicy level so you could enjoy the food more. I don’t know when I could have a chance to visit the city and come back to this one but if I have a chance, I’ll make sure to stop by

Went into this little gem of a place for lunch yesterday. It's tucked into a corner of a hidden strip mall across from West Town mall. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We got everything explained to us and ordered. We got grandma's fried rice which was the best fried rice I've eaten since I left Chicago five years ago. Fried dark brown with a hint of sweetness in this beautifully textured rice. It was so good we didn't have leftovers. We also got crab rangoons that were light and delicate on the outside and absolutely decadent on the inside. Crabby cream cheese deliciousness. I got an order of fried chicken skins to complete this incredible lunch. It's like chicken skin potato chips. These were indescribably delicious! A very unique flavor that I really enjoyed a great deal. I finished this meal off with a watermelon boba tea that was fantastic. I don't have a single complaint about this awesome little restaurant. It's small and can get very crowded at times. It's worth the wait and a one of a kind Asian dinning experience. I highly recommend Sticky Rice Cafe.

One of my must eat places in Knoxville. Every time I’m in town, I’ve got to have the pork chop! The flavor is amazing and the meat is juicy. The food is always excellent and the staff is so kind! Make sure you prepare to wait for a seat, this place is always packed and for good reason.

DUDEEEE. This place is so stinkin good. Wish I lived locally so I could eat here once a week. So much flavor going downnnnnnn. I grew up eating laab my whole life and their pork belly laab is seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. My mom’s being #1 of course. The waitress said they’re known for their pork chop, so we got it. It’s bangin, juicy, tender, full of flavor.

Delicious food | Delightful experience | Amazing staff | Super busy Visited this place on a Friday night. Don’t get fooled by location of this place or the size of the restaurant. Their food and service is amazing - no wonder we had to wait for a good 30 minutes to get a table. To be honest, had no idea what Laotian cuisine was like before I visited this place. Fried quail is a must try. Also had the Laotian sandwich with brisket, which was phenomenal. My only critique is their food could use a little more seasoning.

First time here. Everything was really good! The Thai tea with coconut milk was really good! Had 3 chicken egg rolls for an appetizer, smaller than was expecting, but didn’t lack in taste! Had the noodle bowl with chicken and peanut sauce. It was good and light. And got the Grandma’s stir fried noodles with pork belly, make sure to add the grandma’s hot sauce to make it even better! They stayed busy. All the girls were super nice! Will definitely come back!!!

Amazing food, lots of great suggestions and help from the server. I had the pork and tofu noodle bowl and added jalapeños along with the Crab Rangoons to start. It was an excellent meal. Very attentive servers and quality food!

The hype is very real. Awesome joint with strong traditional Thai flavors. Phorrito was inventive and filling. Curry was a generous helping and nice spice and flavor. We were cautioned about the Chicken Laab. It was very good but not for everyone. All of the sauces especially Grandma’s Chili Oil and Pastes are out of this world.

Amazing! Try the Papaya Salad! So good! The fried bananas are a must have. The service is top notch. They have a homemade hot sauce that is one of the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and indulge!

This place is amazing! Since moving back to America this is the closest I get to real Thai, Indonesian, or Malaysian food. The people are awesome too!

This place takes forever to make/prepare your food. My friend and I came here for lunch for the first time. After we were seated and ordered our food, it took them more than 40 minutes to bring out our food. I had the beef pho and they only gave me a tiny little bit of bean sprouts in a tiny plate (see attached pic). My friend had the ginger chicken with rice. After an hour eating that, he got really sick. He told me that we will never go back there again. The only thing good about it was the server was really nice and we did tip her 20% though.

We LOVED our experience here all the vibes were great and the owner & servers are so personable and down to earth! I got the pork chop with vegetables and pho broth. I also added a side of sticky rice, the pork chop was the absolute BEST and I don’t particularly normally care for them but everything was so flavorful and delicious! We also tried the pork egg rolls and they did not disappoint they were so tasty! I am already looking forward to returning, If you’re looking for some yummy food with great vibes I definitely recommend you give this place a try!

On the way through Knoxville like us? If you want a damn good Lao/Thai take on comfort food, drop in. Just really really good. Service was excellent. (Thank you, Toon!) The pork chop was excellent and worth the trip in, add the Kow Pek and Lao sausage and you'll feel like royalty. Simple, Delicious. Also priced reasonably. Actually looking for reasons to come back.

I have loved the place, my beef Pho was spectacular!!! NY husband felt in love with his spicy pork, and we will come back for more new flavors, no doubt 😋 🤩✨️💫

The food here was great. It was very busy when we went so it made it very hard to hear the staff. We sat at the table for a while before realizing there was a QR code for the menu. The teas were great. They did offer us a high chair but I could not find too many kid friendly food options.

We are visiting from New York and have already decided we’ll need to come back to Knoxville to visit this incredible spot!! The service was incredible and all the servers were amazing. The food was delicious and affordable; you absolutely can’t leave without getting the fried chicken skin with a frosty Lao beer. We also got the crispy rice salad with sour pork sausage, the pho, and the Laos sandwich with pork. I can’t say enough good things about this gem!!

Blown away! As a SEA girl from the West Coast, this reminded me of my fav Laotian spots from home. Great breather from all the greasy foods I had on my trip. The staff was very nice and it was busy for a Tuesday, but we only had to wait 10-15 minutes before tables opened up.

The spicy pork egg rolls may be best egg rolls we have ever had! We had stir-fry vegetables with chicken and yellow chicken curry with sticky rice. Both were very good. The chicken was tender and moist. This was first yellow curry I've had without potatoes. All the vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. The ice tea flavor was very good also. It was crowded as expected for Fri at lunch. The noise level was so loud my husband I could not hear each other speak. It was a chilly day and air conditioner was blowing cold air. We figured this was to cool staff working. We were not sure who our waitress was. First waitress took our drink order but did not take our meal order. Food was delivered by two other people. We asked first waitress for refill on drinks. She never refilled them and had to ask second waitress. We felt second waitress had do most of the work. We left good tip because we figured tip must be split among staff.

We love Sticky Rice! We’ve been several times. My favorite menu items are the crab Rangoon, sticky rice (with the peanut sauce) and the pho!

This place is absolutely one of my favorite places to eat in all of Knoxville. It very well may be my favorite restaurant in East Tennessee! The sticky rice is so very good. We also ordered a couple of large house sake. They were very good. The pork chops are to die for as well! I’m not sure what sauce they use but it is out of this world. Strongly recommend this sauce.

I've never had Laotian food and was excited to try this restaurant especially with all the positive reviews. The menu seems like a fusion of Thai and Vietnamese. Service was nice and friendly. However the food wasn't my favorite. Cons: - if you order sticky rice with your meal, they bring it out right away while you wait for your dish. By the time you receive your entree the rice is cold already. I also see many people eating the sticky rice already without receiving their main fish - the food is a salt bomb. VERY salty especially the chicken laab. I was very thirsty afterwards - the table next to me wanted to pack her leftover to go. I saw the waitress take it to the counter and use her BARE hands to pick up the food and place it into the container - can be very crowded and busy Pros: - decent service, they are quick Overall, I wasnt blown away by the food and experience as Laotian food seems to be a Mish mash of Thai and Vietnamese cuslisine but master of none based on this experience.

This place is amazing! I was greeted and seated immediately upon walking in. The server was delightful and walked me thru the menu when i told her it was my first time here. I got the Kow Peck soup and holy cow it was the best soup I’ve ever had! You can test the freshness. The spring rolls were superb and fresh also. This place had hearty portions for a great price. Highly recommended!!!

Very busy, every table was packed. This is as authentic Laotian as you can get. These were new flavors and I have to say I love them. I got the Beef Laab which also became my first time trying tripe. Overall I loved it!

I had seen this tucked away little place and had thought about trying it several times in the past, but I hadn't ever heard anyone speak of it, so I just always seemed to pass it by. That was until a few days ago, when a customer of ours mentioned that it was his favorite restaurant. That reminded me that I really needed to make an effort to go try this place finally. I stopped by today for lunch and it was packed! Wow, lots of people actually know about this place and I have just been missing it. I was alone, so I was quickly seated at the bar. All of the workers were extremely nice and friendly. I asked for a recommendation since it was my first time there and I was emphatically told to try the Pork Chop...so I did. Fabulous! The stick rice was delicious and I loved the bowl of broth too! Everything that I saw coming out of the kitchen looked incredibly delicious. I asked my server if this was Korean, Thai, Japanese....and was told it was Loatian (Loas). I had never eaten Laotian food until today, but I believe it is going to quickly become one of my favorites. Highly recommend this place.

Wow wow wow! My Wife and I met our friends here for dinner on their recommendation, and it did not disappoint. Very unique menu. Laotian dishes, Vietnamese, plus more. We arrived and it was packed, but the staff was incredibly Friendly, and even though the food took a little time, it was fast for the amount of staff they had. The fried wings were cooked perfectly, came out hot and juicy. The spring rolls were incredible and didn't skimp on the size. My curry was amazing and the rice was cooked perfectly. Do yourself a favor and wait a little bit, it will all be worth it. The food here was top notch, and on the way out, every staff member noticed and said goodbye with a huge smile. I felt welcome, I was happy, and I was full. We will be back for sure!

The family of workers here are incredibly sweet and attentive! I wanted a Boba tea that wasn’t syrup based and she suggested Taro, Vanilla, Coffee and one other one. I chose the Taro, which she said was her favorite and it tasted like a vanilla milkshake!! Delicious!!! I also ordered the Vegetable stir fry with chicken and sticky rice and everything was amazing and sizzling at the table! Even the little cup of broth you get is so flavorful!! Definitely going back!

From the moment we walked in, we knew this was our new "go-to" place! The atmosphere, along with the staff, secured our return before we were even seated! The eggrolls were light, crispy, and made to perfection (like our fav, The Eggroll Lady, in Pennsylvania). The Crab Rangoon was better than Hongs Asian Bistro in Oak Ridge, being fresh and homade! Excellent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ordered 2 pork egg rolls, quails and seafood salad for pick up. I arrived and the waitresses seemed reserved. They gave me my food, and I signed the receipt, and off I went. I eat the food at the hotel. The pork egg rolls were pretty good. One if my finicky pup liked it. One if the 2 quails were over fried and very dry. The 2nd one was much better! The seafood salad at dinner price $15 was ok. It could use more flavor and more seafood considered the price. Overall, one if the quails was good and egg rolls were good. I ended eating the sticky rice with the quails like a meal.

This place is actually pretty good. When you walk in they all greet you, made me feel welcomed. The papaya salad was great, love that it came with sticky rice automatically…the pho was not bad…in the picture it’s the small size pho so it was a good amount, can’t imagine the large size. The ladies that served me were all pretty nice.

Very unique food, cant compare it to anything else. From the appetizers to entrees to drinks, it was all delicious. Highly suggest the stop. Just off of i75. Prices very reasonable considering the qualify of the food.
